In the first year of the school Cambridge Primary Curriculum was offered from Grade Nursery to V (Stage I to VI) with Cambridge ICT and Cambridge Checkpoint Examination at grade V level. In order to ensure effective implementation of the Primary programme, the school laid emphasis on the recruitment of its faculty members on the basis of six parameters: relevant qualifications, experience, pleasing personality and openness to change, professionalism, and bonding with the organization. In addition, the school management conceived the school with world class infrastructure to facilitate the process of teaching & learning and communication with parents. The school created an academic environment which catered to the needs not only of each child’s physical, mental and spiritual growth but also of its employees for their professional growth and effective curriculum transaction.

The institution opened up its counseling cell at two different locations of the city to reach out to all prospective parents who wanted their children to go for an international qualification. It also organized Talent Hunt events at different venues of the city to look for the children who could be given scholarship to study in the school. The school started formally from April 21, 2014. Since the Management was open to admitting children with parity, it recruited a professionally trained counselor to deal with children who had some learning difficulties or behavioral problems so as to bridge the gap between the learning and the learner.

ITM Global School (Registered Cambridge International School from Grade Nursery to Grade IX IGCSE and Grade XI A/AS level – IN970) is a new age school at Gwalior, MP, India. It was founded on March 7, 2014 with a vision to provide an internationally recognized qualification to the students of Gwalior and Chambal divisions. Following the rich legacy of India, the school envisioned the amalgamation of Indian tradition, culture, values, music, art and craft, dance, and yoga with the Western Education System so as to provide holistic global education to children. It aimed at developing in them a rational worldview and transforming them into quality citizens and successful professionals while following the philosophy of “Truly Global… and Truly Indian…”.

each day when i walk the school aisle, i hear the chatter of curious minds, the excitement from the budding sportspersons, the thump of dancing feet ,the sound of musical voices and see the eyes with vibrant colours through their brush strokes. we with today’s perspective, allow our students to relish their childhood.

we understand individualism and try to blossom creativity, innovation and confidence. besides rigorous and effective scholastic programmes, the school is marking its name in all areas such as art and craft, music, variety of sports, environmental conservation activities and the list goes on…. we give our children the best possible exposure in order to give them all around development. whether the student is an introvert or an extrovert personality, the aim is to nurture the child into self-motivated individual.

i am certain with the support of all the mentors, parents and especially students the school will reach greater heights in the years to come.

it is our endeavour at itm global school that leadership and learning should never be considered separate, distinct elements in our educational programs. each of us must always be willing to learn and to lead as we strive towards academic, professional and personal excellence in our school.Knowledge gained in classrooms has to be augmented by practical experience in the community. with this concept in mind we have structured a very strong community programme which provides different opportunities to students to take leadership initiatives and prove themselves in different roles.academic programs coupled with our vast selection of outstanding athletic and extracurricular activities make itm global school a vibrant, welcoming, child-centred environment where students can grow into leaders.

i would like to wish our teachers and students the very best in the days to come.

“Teaching should inspire change and learning should be acquisition of understanding rather than rote memorizing”.These key thoughts are embedded in the vision and mission of the school, and serve as guiding light for the journey of the school. ITM Global school epitomizes accomplishments and in a short span of two years, the school has set

standards which normally takes years to achieve. The school community is all about meaningful engagements in academic pursuits, enterprise in useful projects, value based social connect, celebration of cultures, recognition of individual and group performances, Innovation within and outside the classroom, encouragement of fine and performing arts pursuits and keen involvement in sporting activities. Emphasis is laid on excellence all round with the focus on the overall development of each and every student within its portals. The vibrant and supportive atmosphere of the school is contagious and students have a lot to look forward to in a day. Mistakes are proof that someone is trying and are therefore treated as wonderful opportunities for growth. To keep the creativity and genius of each child is at the core of our teaching and learning programme. It is therefore a joy for us to see students enjoying their school day and participating in the activities with enthusiasm.

A word of advice to all the students – “No one can stop you from achieving your dreams except your own self”,and therefore take at least a step forward each day and you are sure to achieve what you aspire for in the years to come. Remember that “Extraordinary people are ordinary people with an extraordinary vision”.

I am happy to be a key part of this wonderful journey of the school. There is still much to aspire and work for and we constantly look forward to our parents, friends, well-wishers and our advisory board for their support and involvement as together we take ITM Global School to greater heights.

MESSAGE FRoM THE VICE PRINCIPAl

just two years ago, when ITM Global School embarked on its journey to provide quality education to the children of Gwalior and adjoining districts, it was envisioned that it would certainly create an ideal position and esteem in the educational community across the country. Now when the school has expanded its horizon, providing Cambridge International qualifications right from Nursery to grade 12 within an incredible span of just two complete academic sessions, I am delighted to state that its journey does dazzle one and all equally due to its sheer brilliance and extraordinary contribution to society and the nation at large.

Here, at school we try as team to build up a healthy and conducive environment for wonderful educational opportunities both for students and the staff. Today, when the school is bringing out its first issue of the school magazine, I know that it will reflect the academic performances as well as co-curricular activities of the school. It will also highlight the children’s intelligence, prudence, courage of conviction and the determination to walk an extra mile to achieve their goals and aspirations and thus it is going to be a rewarding experience for them.

School is a place where destinies are shaped. We provide a plethora of opportunities to children to evolve themselves as quality citizens and valuable assets for the nation. India is a young country, standing on the threshold of new era. The world is watching each step of ours. We are no longer a rising nation, but the risen. Resplendent rays of the glorious sun are pioneering us to move on the path of glory and success. I have full faith in the young children who will prove able and worthy stewards to launch our nation to the pinnacle of grandeur and magnificence.

A PIZZA THE SIZE OF THE SUNI’m making a pizza the size of the sun,A pizza that’s sure to weigh more than a ton,A pizza so massive to pick up and toss,A pizza resplendent with oceans of sauce.I’m topping my pizza with mountains of cheese,With acres of peppers, pimentos and peas,With mushrooms, tomatoes and sausage galore,With every last olive they had at the store. My pizza is sure to be one of a kind,My pizza will leave other pizzas behind,My pizza will be a delectable treat,That all who love pizza are welcome to eat.The oven is hot, I believe it will take,A year and a half for my pizza to bake.I can hardly wait till my pizza is done,My wonderful pizza the size of the sun.

SPORTS ARTICLEFootball is a family of team sports that involve kicking a ball to score a goal. Different variations of football - rugby football, gruden football etc.- are known as football codes. Codes of football can be traced back to the nineteenth century. In 1888 the football league was founded in England. Football is played between two teams with 11-18 players in each. Goals are scored by moving the ball to an opposing team’s end of the field into a goal area. The goal is defended by the opposing team.Players being required to move the ball depending on the code by kicking, carrying or hand passing it. Players use only their body to move the ball.

ITM GLOBAL SCHOOLGLOBAL LEARNINGSchools learning philosophy is based on global learning and therefore we have International Curriculum. We enjoy studying and learning through this activity based programme. It is quite easy to understand concepts through hands on activities. Connecting wires to com-plete a circuit gives me better understanding than just drawing the diagrams.

TEACHERS ROLETeachers are our guides and the way they teach at the school makes it very easy for us to under-stand. They are friendly and open and always willing to help. Whatever activities are taken up at school are connected with our studies.

ARTSI think ITM Global School will see top notch musicians, dancers and ambassadors once the students leave the school. The kind of involve-ment of students in dance, music, art and craft, etc and the performances done by them are notable. I have picked up all these skills well too.

LIFE CYCLE OF A STARStars are born from huge clouds of dust, hydrogen, helium and traces of other heavier elements. All stars begin their life as proto stars, which are found when the huge clouds of dust, hydrogen, helium etc., collapse under gravitational forces. As the gravitational attraction between the atoms increase, it adds more atoms to the centre of the proto star. This process of adding atoms is called acceleration. Numerous reactions occur inside proto stars, which makes them very unstable. They only atain equilibrium when gas pressure equals gravity. Once a proto star attains equilibrium and the critical temperature is reached, nuclear fission begins and the star begins to radiate energy into space. During this phase, a star is called a main sequence star. After all the hydrogen present in a star has been fused to helium, the star begins to burn helium to maintain its equilibrium. While helium burns in the core, hydrogen rapidly burns out in the shell of the star. Some stars keep on changing their brightness. Such stars are known as variable stars. There are two types of variable stars.

(sTUDEnTs’ PLAn for InTEGrATInG KnoWLEDGE WITH ExPErIEncE)

The school empowers students to initiate programmes which would involve the entire student body to engage in meaningful projects in

real life settings to enhance their classroom experiences. SPIKE is one such endeavor of the students. under this banner the students took on some projects and carried them out successfully. The “Kitchen Garden” one such project undertaken along with “Planting of saplings”. They also organized a “Mini Fete” for the parents and school children.

With the success of these projects, students are planning for far bigger projects and are slowly working towards “self- sufficiency” in terms of financing their own programmes. In the pipe line are Candle Making project, preparation of pottery, setting up of a small workshop to repair simple mechanisms and a Mega Fete. It is wonderful to see these students going out of the way to prepare and execute their plans and in the process learning cooperation and commitment and gaining in confidence. In the years to come, SPIKE intends to support those students financially who are limited in their resources for their own education.

sTUDEnT coUncIL Students are provided opportunities at school to assume leadership roles and help out in various capacities. The formation of the student council is another step in this direction. Students are given responsibilities to manage the school magazine (be part of the editorial board), conduct cultural programmes, encourage students in sports, take care of the five houses, counsel other students and manage student discipline. The council works closely with teacher mentors in doing their duties and suggests ways and means to help address student issues.

EXCElSIoR – the name of the school Annual Function is a word that comes from latin and means “ever upward” and at times is used as a shout of jubilation. As the school showcases its achievements through student presentations at the Annual Function, the thought Excelsior drives us to continually raise the bar each year! Excelsior 2015 - the school Annual Function was a grand affair. The school community worked hard to prepare for this event and it was amazing to see the confidence of students as they performed on the stage in front of the parents. The function began with the formal welcome of the Chief Guest Shri Adarsh Katiyar, IPS Inspector General (IG), Gwalior and Guests of Honour - Ms. Swati Singh, Ms. Karishma yadav, Ms. Neha Rawat and Ms. Preeti dubey, International Hockey Players (Gold Medalists), and Mr. Pradeep Chaubey Humourist - special guest. The lamp lighting ceremony was followed by the school report of the Principal, presentation of school awards, speech by the Honorable Chancellor, Shri Ramashankar Singh and then a humour session with Mr Pradeep Chaubey. After the ceremonial part was over, it was time for the unfolding of Tattvam – a dance & drama presentation by the students. Tattvam in Sanskrit means elements. This musical, dance and drama presentation is a brief representation of the five elements of nature – fire, earth, air, water and sky, the individual character of each element, how they provide sustenance to life when in harmony and the kind of havoc and destruction that can be created through them when humans tamper with nature. It is indeed a reality with which we live and we hope that as a school community we would once again pledge to work towards creating a balance in nature through simple but definite ways. “A small step taken by us could become a giant leap for humankind”. let us do our bit to make our planet a better place to live in.

MAsTEr& MIss GLoBAL

Students are encouraged to do “good deeds” and lend a helping hand to the society at large. A “dEEd” is listed for each month in the school calendar and is carried out diligently by the students.

dEEd of the month is an integral part of the school curriculum and is embedded in the teaching and learning programme. Students show enthusiasm towards such initiatives and step out of their comfort zone to lend a helping hand. They often convince their parents too to donate and support the weaker section of the society. Apart from the 12 dEEd activities, students undertake other initiatives too.

• Creating a green environment through

planting of saplings

• Creating and sending “Thank you” cards to

the public servants and army personnel for

their sacrifices for the welfare of the nation

• Providing for the needy

• Interacting with students with a disability thus

providing an emotional support

• Enacting “Nukkad Nataks” to make the

general public aware of persisting social evils

• organizing teaching & learning sessions for

the underprivileged

• Keeping the campus neat and clean

• Conducting special assemblies to create

awareness about key children issues
