Our newest program in partnership with the Oregon Department of Human Services provides intensive residential support to youth in the Child Welfare system – particularly those who have been away from their families for years and have histories of failed placements. We provide a safe and stable community, free from harm, allowing them to learn skills to transition into their next home or placement. or placement. Family therapy is offered when applicable to keep youth connected with their loved ones and increase the likelihood of success. New Era House also helps alleviate the need for Oregon to place youth out of state and to better nurture and care for them close to home.

Communtiy Based Programs Residential Programs

Oregon Child Welfare Program desires to serve all children with safe and appropriate placements within their communities. This has not always been possible for children who exhibit sexually inappropriate or other challenging behaviors. We are grateful to Parrott Creek and the New Era House for stepping up to help meet this need and make it possible for children to receivetreatment in closer proximity to their families and communities.

-Fariborz PaksereshtDirector, Oregon Department of Human Services

Parrott Creek stepped up to create New Era House when Oregon needed it most. This means some of the most vulnerable kids in the care of Oregon have a chance to get the quality services they need and deserve without having to leave our state. Parrott Creek’s willingness to collaborate, to problem-solve and to apply their expertise to design innovative new programs is greatly appreciated. Parrott Creek has children's best interests at tat the heart of everything they do.
