This addendum sets out the conditions for implementing section

3.2 (1) Acceptable risk level and section 4 Impact in DS/EN 1991-1-

7. In the case that any savings are realised through alternative ship

impact design following contract award, SB (Special Conditions of

D&B Contract) clause 11(1), item 5. Value Engineering/continuous

project optimisation will apply.

Ac-cording to our calculations the curve should be changed to R = 1865 m. The consequence of a change will be a horizontal offset of 0.352 m to the north in the center of the curve. Could you please clarify/confirm?

Further the question, why is the requirements in the DS/EN 1992-2 called 113.3.2 although thy connect to the requirements of the EN1991-2 par-agraph 13.3.2?

The requirement ID SWS23-01-3.9-010 is confirmed. It should be noted that k = 0.9 is a particular value selected for this contract.

The Bidder is informed that requirements 113.3.2 (101) and (104) can be found in EN1992-2.

163. .7.1.1 Third Party Checking - SWS01-00-1.7-040 MR and the Eurocode (DS EN1990 NA annex B4) does not correspond. The eurocode is stating following: "NOTE Design supervision is to contribute to en-suring: – that the assumptions of the design brief are correct and are used as a basis for the structural design; – that the assumptions made in the static calcula-tions have been correctly incorporated into any other project material; – that drawings and execution specifications are adequate for the execution of the load-bearing structures.” According to the above from the Eurocode, it is already a check if the structure, resulting from the design, is statically fit for purpose. Thus, if the structure fulfils the requirements given in the Eu-rocode and the applicable national annexes and regulations. It is not a check if all contractual re-quirements are fulfilled. The requirement of a third party checker also checking on fulfilling the con-tractual requirements significantly enlarges it’s work and thus cost. We would therefore like to ask if it is possible to delete or change this part as a task of the 3rd party checker and change to a requirement, which we, as a contractor, use as prove that all contrac-tual requirements are fulfilled?

As per Appendix 4 to SWS 01 Design, the Third Party check only relates to the rele-vant elements of the works, which are scheduled in Section 3 of the above men-tioned Appendix.

In accordance with Section 1.5 of SWS 01 - Design, subject to the other provisions of the Contract, the design of the works shall comply with both the Eurocodes including the Danish National Annexes and the Certi-fication Procedure (amongst other things).

The Bidder should also note the require-ments of section 1.7.1 and Appendix 4 of SWS 01- Design, which define which De-sign Checking and Certification Procedures the Contractor has to follow.

Any proposed amendment to these re-quirements is not accepted.
