The entire RoadStar® 18shroud assembly is builtto hang tough, evenunder extreme conditions.The shroud remains flexible in temperaturesranging from -40°F to+180°F. It resists abrasion, aging due toozone and ultra-violetrays, and degradationfrom chemical attack.Optional Hypalon® shroudmaterial is available.

controlled by a rotarylimit switch which auto-matically senses andresponds to “Full Up” and“Fully Extended” spoutpositions. This featureprotects the hoist drivemechanism.

Slack-Cable LimitSwitches

For hatched truck andrailcar filling with “PV”series loading spouts, contact with the hatch causes the hoist cables tobecome slack. These normally open switches disengage the motor anddrive, prohibiting furtherunwinding of the cables.

Level SensorsA level sensor extends

into the container beingfilled. When the productreaches the level sensor, aswitch is activated to generate a signal to theoperator, or to automaticallystop material flow.

Negative Air ControlSwitch

This switch activates thenegative air system when thespout is extended and turnsthe system off when the spout is retracted to the “Full-Up” position.

Hatch Adaptor KitsHatch adaptor kits are

designed to seal the loadingspout into square, or slottedrail car hatches. These kits are easy to install withouttools.

Explosion-ProofComponents

These explosion-proofelectrical and pneumatic controls are designed for usein hazardous areas such aschemical plants or grain elevators. Anti-static devicesmay be installed to dissipatestatic electricity.

Options ForSpecializedEfficiencySpout Positioners

Pendant-controlled, singleand dual direction spout positioners allow the operatorto easily position the spout forloading. The spout positioner is extremely useful for loadinga variety of railroad cars, suchas offset and center domehatches. The positioner is alsoeffective for loading opentrucks with centerline ridgepoles and for ease in spottingtrucks and rail cars.

Durable RoadStar® 18Shroud Controls Dust

To control dust, allSly spouts feature thedurable RoadStar® 18shroud. Fugitive dustremains inside theshroud and is pulled backinto the product flow bynegative air pressure.

Inner-sewn ringscause the shroud to foldinward as the spoutretracts, ensuring maximum clearance inthe retracted position.
