PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

AT&T, NJ, PRINCIPAL MEMBER OF TECH STAFF, IP Services/E-Business solutions July ‘95 -Present Provided system engineering, business analysis, solution architecture, integration, verifications, technical Management, Project Management in e-Business, and Data Networking solutions for web-based applications. This includes automated IP Provisioning and router configuration, VoIP, e-Commerce and Web Collaboration for network layer 2 and 3 for the Access and Backbone routers.

Technical lead for the System Engineering/Test: Led, evaluated contractor vendors & 3rd party tools. Developed and implemented several web based test automation tools for the XML/JSON API and GUI based transactions. Designed and developed data driven test automation with enhanced recovery using object oriented methodology in Java, PERL, KSH scripts and SQL languages, resulting in significant cost and cycle time reduction, Agile/Scrum/Waterfall. Experienced in network inventory, activation, capacity

management for layer 1-3. Defined and implemented the requirements for the IP Network configuration and provisioning services

for a variety of network accesses for the physical and logical resources. Currently working in ECOMP for the Software Defined Network (SDN). Working knowledge with

NFV, VNF, Openstack, Orchestration., Cloud computing Platform(AIC), Virtualization, GIT, Agile methodologies, JIRA, Continuous integration systems such as Jenkins and test automation using fitNesse, Java, Junit, 4Test, SoapUI, cloud based RESTAPI. BIG DATA performance testing using Hadoop vs. Cassandra. Worked on IST, data-feeds, audit, logs, tools, VNFs.

Provided trouble shooting, root-cause and escape analysis for the IP Network configuration and provisioning services for a variety of network features, accesses such as QoS, VoIP, Multicast, IPV6, Dual stack, Redundancy, broadband data protocols, inventory automation for new routers, cards, provisioning, order management, billing, router configuration monitoring for MIS, AVPN and Cable for a wide set of network topologies, Ethernet, PL FR/ATM access, speeds, routing protocols and vendors.

Developed effective test strategy, plans, coordinated testing, and integration and tested applications for the functionality, security, performance and error handling integration testing to E2E system tests for work-flows, migrations, using test-driven development (TDD) process, which brought QA testing in on the front-end of the development cycle for gains in code quality, software functionality and programmer

productivity in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) mode, fueling swift corrective actions, significant cost savings and fault-free audits. Accelerated average QA testing turn-around time by 25% or more, allowing company to accept more testing projects without increasing staff. Prevented hundreds of thousands of dollars in erroneous escapes

Provided strategy and direction for the foundation architecture. Evaluated the Unix based enterprise-processing platforms and defined the architectures and standards for AT&T Network Maintenance and Provisioning Operation systems. Developed the architecture and the requirement for the new deployment of Microsoft NT based desktops and servers for 16,000 users in customer/network care.

BELL COMMUNICATIONS RESEARCH, NJ, Network/Software Development Engineer Oct. '93-July ’95 Designed, developed AIN (Advanced Intelligent Network) family of products. Provided automated configuration

management, system administration for CCS/SS7 link live growth for different configurations, involving Backup/Restore, Installation, Site configuration, setup of AIX Logical and Physical Volumes, Volume groups, File systems, configuring networks.

IBM CORP., Enterprise Systems, NY, Advisory Engineer July '83 - Oct. '93 Led the world-wide labs that defined future development and enhanced Reliability, Availability and Serviceability characteristics of large enterprise complexes with peripherals through fault tolerance and continuous availability improvements and focused on high-speed data connectivity and multiprocessing. Implemented from conceptual evaluation to development, testing and field support. The new multi-layered data communication architecture (ESCON, high-speed fiber-based protocol) for dynamic fiber optic switch/routers. Drove product development changes based on analysis of product architecture and customer input, resulting in

30% reduction system outages. Developed advanced fault identification and problem determination techniques for high-speed fiber links, cables, intelligent nodes, inter-connect products via LAN based service processors and operating systems. Reduced the duration of repair by 25%.

Participated in product setup and promotion at Comdex and other trade shows. Developed future product forecasting performance models of the I/O SS, using dynamic cascaded switches for fiber optic connectivity, using C language and other queuing model tools.

Led the recovery and serviceability system test team for the I/O, vector, and storage for mainframes. Verified architecture, microcode, service processor code and hardware. Produced test plans, negotiated resources, prepared schedules, forecasted problems, instituted result tracking escape evaluation and regression strategies. Created error-state matrix, test cases, error injection tools exercisers in 390/801 (RISC) assembly languages and in C. Discovered 250 additional problems. Developed on-line and off-line diagnostics for 3090 mainframes. Improved fault identification by 20%. Received enterprise level Quality awards

BUNKER RAMO CORP., CT 1980 - 1983 Project Manager/Leader Supervised 12 technical professionals for functional and diagnostic software for control unit and peripherals. Pioneered the use of Yourdon's structured methodology. Managed project for the new display subsystem. Performed system analysis to define the next generation product for Banking and Brokerage applications, supporting marketing department. Wrote financial applications in C, using UNIX. Developed network driver for SNA/SDLC protocol.
