Assistant Project Manager

Ref-Chem is an EPC contractor servicing industrial facilities related to the oil and gas, chemical, refining, air separation, petrochemical, minerals processing, power, cement and manufacturing industries. As an Engineering Assistant Project Manager for Ref-Chem, my responsibilities include: conducting project kick-off meetings, maintaining knowledge in project schedule and completion percentages, projecting project cost, development of material and man-hour estimates, detailed management of design variance impacts, providing support to disciplines to insure accurate and timely development of project deliverables, and development of project job book for closeout.

Most recently, I was assigned as the Engineering Assistant Project Manager for the Regency Halley 400GPM Amine Addition EPC Project. This is a “fast track” project requiring close coordination with Construction Project Manager and Superintendent. I provided weekly project updates to Management and project status reports on a bi-weekly basis to the EPC Project Manager. Assistant Project Manager

Controls Unlimited is a commercial HVAC Controls and Building Automation System (BAS) subcontractor. As Junior Project Manager, my responsibilities included primarily pre-construction services, design, and project support. Pre-Construction responsibilities included: Correspondence with Mechanical Engineers with the purpose of becoming listed as acceptable manufacturer / contractor for future projects, estimating, and proposal submission. Engineering responsibilities included development of: input/output sheets (commissioning sheets), controls schematics, network, device, and controller wiring diagrams, bill of materials, network address list, 3D web graphics, submittal preparation and submission. Project support-responsibilities included: budget control, scheduling of field personnel and subcontractors, ordering of material per project schedule, material transmittals, purchase orders, invoice approval/disapproval, change orders, project billing, and development of "As­ Build" documents.

and ran “Proctors" on soil samples and performed strength tests on concrete cores.

I performed specific and unique AutoCAD drafting with LIC overlays. While attending UTSA I received project data files from BEl via email for processing.
