PREPARATION OF CORPORATE BUSINESS CREDIT POLICY:Engage in preparing Corporate Credit Policy of Bank by addressing parameters of SBP prudential regulations, types of credit lines offered to clients, classification of target & exclusion industry based on risk assessment & market concentration, customer credit proposal process, grading of clients for describing quality of credit exposure, credit bureau reporting under the guide lines of local regulator in case of overdue exposure, documentation procedure for securing finance & collateralization, account management, mechanism of early alert forum for identifying early risk warning signals / potential weakness of material nature which require additional monitoring by management to avert credit loss.

CREDIT ANALYSIS FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:Credit risk analysis of client’s business model, through their financials, cash-flows, project viability, cost benefit analysis, business needs, sensitivity analysis, industry demand & supply gap analysis, job creation, repayment capacity, business transactions turnover & swing in their loan account of short term working capital credit lines, history of markup servicing, business reciprocity, aging of stocks & receivables, projections, utilization of production capacity, product’s position in market, industry concentration, cash conversion cycle, credit worthiness, visit to the project site and security package offered by client.

These tools are used to identify, measure credit risk, its mitigation, reward and legal protection, for the approval of structured credit facilities with appropriate financial covenants & risk triggers, in order to minimize Credit Risk exposure.

CREDIT MONITORING OF BUSINESS INVESTMENTS (ASSETS): Credit portfolio monitoring of Overdraft, Running, Trade & Term Finance facilities allowed to clients through our monthly internal EAR Forum (Early Alert Review) for adopting any one of the four business strategies i.e. 1.Hold Business Relationship, 2.Reduce Exposure, 3.Restructure Exposure or 4.Exit Business Relationship with client, and devise future strategy with clients in the forum. While document deficiencies are monitored through ASTAR Forum (Account Subject To Additional Review), through the participation of all stake holders of bank. The minutes of meetings are captured, circulated to all stake holders for compliance, in order to safeguard interest of bank. Also seek help from line & dotted line hierarchy of bank for resolving client’s issues, where required.

CREDIT MARKETING FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT :Corporate Credit Marketing of bank’s financial products, while analyzing customer’s business model, borrowing causes, cash flows, product demand & supply gap, market position, industry risk & potential analysis, industry concentration, business going concern, and credit worthiness of customers checked from market & other financial institutions.

Assessment of company’s working capital & long term finance requirements, by analyzing their production capacity, fixed asset capitalization, balance sheet, cash flow statement and asset conversion cycle analysis, under the ambit of SBP PR.

After disbursement monitored business transactions of company by way of frequency of turnover & swing in their account, analyze proper utilization of credit facilities, as per approval and to explore other income generating avenues namely Corporate Cash Management financial services, which would generate further income to the Bank.
