Research Manager (Supermarket) Custom Research Team?

YouGov’s Custom Research team consists of sector specialists who are supported by skilled

quantitative analytics and qualitative researchers. Each team combines research expertise

with in-depth sector knowledge to help clients to identify, analyse and understand their

markets, offering actionable insight that adds competitive business advantage. Our full service

menu means that clients choose their level of reporting - from basic tables of results, to

additional statistical analysis and interpretation, to strategic advice from our industry experts.

You will manage the fieldwork and oversee the continuous sampling of the Pledge trackers and ensure

that quotas are met, whilst ensuring that deadlines for fieldwork and deliverables are met.

As the RM, you will be the main contact point for the day-to-day running of the Pledge tracker and make

amendments to the questionnaire where appropriate and soft launch where necessary. You’ll write and

update tab specs when required and ensure that they have been correctly followed.

Liasing with the clients will be key to ensure that they are aware of deadlines for the launching of a new

wave and that all materials have been supplied by them. You’ll also oversee the production of monthly

and quarterly analysis, agree the structure of deliverables, co-ordinating with others working on them to

ensure they are produced to timetable and to the right standard. Your natural researcher skills will

explore any themes emerging from the data and discuss with the wider research team.

You’ll take the lead in dealing with ad hoc enquiries by the client, and respond in a timely manner.

Monitor time attributed to the request and document and implement this across the wider team.

You will already have experience of managing complex and high profile tracking studies from an agency

side along with having a strong background in quantitative research. Experience retail would be helpful

but this is not essential.

Your first class relationship management skills will be applied to clients and internal stakeholders and you

will have strong attention to detail, along with being goal oriented.

Naturally curious, you will have a passion for producing research insights that make a real difference to

clients and have a hunger for learning about a client’s business and advising on how research can help

their business grow.

This is a full time role (37.5 hours a week), based at our London Head Office in super-cool Old Street. Our

candidate info pack will tell you all about our company benefits and what our work culture is like – have

a read!
