Why have these conventions been used?• Credits actors

• As we are introduced to the character on the screen.• So the audience meet Juno, the protagonist.

• Shows the setting• The OTS shows the setting and that it signify to the audience that it will be based in the

neighbor hood of the teenage girl Juno, who is an ordinary teenage girl.• Establishes Genre

• The OTS establishes the Rom-Com genre. • This is through the upbeat non-diegetic score music which runs throughout the title sequence.• Its cheery and has the lyrics "take me by the hand", which signifies romance.

• Creates an Enigmatic Opening• It focuses around the character Juno, it makes the audience question her everyday life and

relate to the character.• This is through her coming of age and the way the OTS show her journey to the local shop, this

could foreshadow an emotional journey ahead in the film.
