D ear Friends and Fellow Republicans,

Looking out at the beautiful fall harvest, I

realize how fortunate we are to live in this beautiful

state of Idaho. We are indeed blessed to be in this

land of plenty It is hard to take seriously the warn-ings of possible shortages and emergencies that Mr.

Troxell warned us about at last month’s meeting. I

did however check the oil lamps and realized we

need more oil and wicks, So, I decided I had better

check the pantry and found a number of items out

of date. Well, now I’m really on a roll to check

deeds, insurance policies, birth certificates and the

evacuation box. Whoops! ….. dead batteries in

three flashlights. This is getting serious now. I

don’t know what you do, but I have decided to

postpone a serious attempt to become a family

ready for any emergency until I get back from the National Federation of Republican Women’s Bien-

nial Convention.

Please plan on selling tickets to our

time traveling “VINTAGE

FASHION SHOW” Your

friends will not be disappoint-

ed. Our models are the best

and full of fun. The music is

delightful and filled with so

many memories.

We are very fortunate to have

the Idaho State President Kitty Kunz coming to

our Sept.16th meeting at the Clear Lakes Coun-

try Club.

Please plan on attending. MVRW need to show

our IFRW president how much we appreciate all

that she does for women and the Republican Party.

See you on the 16th. Bring a friend and remember we want to share with everyone. Guests are always

welcome!

President Billee Dinges

T he name suffragette was meant as an insult

to the brave women who for many decades

were put in jails. The true term should be suffra-

gists. After decades of struggle, the suffragist’s

won the Equal Franchise Act in 1918 for the first

time allowing women to own property and attend

school. Two years of hunger strikes in the jails

women in America finally won the right for you

to vote. The bill was ratified on August 18,

1920. Until that time, women were deprived of

the most basic rights. Women did not have the

right to attend school or own property.

When we, grand-

daughters and great

granddaughters, do

not vote and hold

our elected officials

accountable, we are

letting down these

women who fought

and gave their lives

for us.

many. God bless. (Editor’s sez: “It’s always nice to

know we are appreciated.”)

will receive a portion of monies raised. You can submit your recipes via email to [email protected] or P.O. Box 2287, Ketchum, ID 83340. Don’t delay, do it today!

IFRW Fall Board Meeting

Lewiston, Idaho

Rick Jesinger, Representative Steve Miller, Cheryl Sandy and

Dale Ewersen in the Bellevue Labor Day Parade

We say

“Aloha” to

our dear

friend,

BOBBI

GOSS, who

is taking

up resi-

dence on

the island

of Hawaii. Bobbi has been a

very loyal and hard working

Republican and for this, we

thank her from the bottom of

our hearts.

Aloha, Bobbi!

Come back

and see us

sometime.

I stayed up all

night to see

where the sun

went, and then

it dawned on

me.

I got a job at a bakery because

I kneaded dough.
