-----------------------------------

The session is to Envision the goals and look into positive aspects of our life so that we everfeel stress and control over the situation . Stress is the reaction people have to excessivepressures or other types of demand placed upon them .It rises when they worry and endswhen they can’t cope .

She has differentiated Four Types of stress Over stress (too much), Under stress (too littlestress), Eustress (good stress, balance right ), and Distress (balanced stress).Characteristic ofpositive stress could be Motivate yourself , focus energy, could be short-term ,perceived aswithin our coping abilities, feel exciting, improve performance. Characteristic of negativestress can cause anxiety or concern, can be short or long term, perceived as beyond copingabilities. Feel unpleasant decreases performance and can lead to mental and physicalproblems.

Page 12: Report on Induction Program 2021 - RBVRR Womens College

She has explained internal and external stressors , internal sources of distress could be Fears.respective thoughts patterns worrying about future events and unrealistic or perfectionistexpectations . Habitual Behaviour patterns that can lead to stress are over scheduling ,failingto be assertive ,failing to set and maintain healthy boundaries and failing to plan ahead

Lastly and the most important is how to manage stress by a six stage cycle positive copingmechanism Brain tends to fill in details on its own to make sense of things and thisknowledge can be used to be aware and check if the thoughts that bother us at times are realor perception of brain .

Stress reduction methods are Meditation ,Self-Hypnosis, Biofeedback ,Creative Imagery,Time Management, Social Groups , Proper Nutrition ,Breathing Exercises, Relaxation andQuiet and Peaceful Environment
