both the academic field and the linkage with the industry, GJU is planning to

establish a specialized innovation center to support its students, researchers and

the local community in the area of innovation and entrepreneurship to strengthen

the linkages between the university and the private sector. This will help not only

in creating jobs for graduates and the local community; it will also increase the

chances of commercializing university research results.

The center is currently in the planning phase and building partnerships with

different organizations to deliver support and services to the innovators.

Focus:

help the students/graduates to gain the understanding of the different paths and

provide them with the tools to select and proceed with their best fit career path.

As university graduates have in general three different career paths:

The median is 4 in all the eleven cases above.

The range of the marks is from 3,96 up to 4,04 in the part logistics and from 3,61 up to 4,11 in the part content.

In the part logistics there are no big differences in the evaluation. The organization and facilities of the workshop are a bit more highly valued than the time management and structure of the workshop agenda.

The average of all given marks by all participants is 3,95.

Will you join similar workshops in the future?

18 answered “yes”, nobody “no”, three “maybe” and seven did not gave an answer. (Maybe it

was not clear that there were questions on the back side.)

A majority among those who returned the sheet would also participate in following workshops

or at least consider to come again.

What was the most valuable aspect of the workshop?

From 18 answers to this question, the word networking is mentioned nine times. It is by far the

most mentioned answer to this question. Additionally meeting or knowing new people were

also mentioned just as sharing ideas. Some appreciated the chance to brainstorm or the new

ideas they got. Also the information about the business model canvas, success stories and

iceamman were named as valuable aspects. Also mentioned: the organization, open discussion

and collaboration.

There seems to be a big request for networking in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship

in Amman/Jordan. Maybe till now there are not so much possibilities for networking. This

should be considered for the follow up and later for the planned activities.

What could have been done to improve the workshop?

There are 15 answers to this question naming very different aspects. Some comments are related to the time. One would have preferred to start the workshop directly without the official opening, one asked for more time for the discussion and one thinks there was too much time because the people got exhausted. There is criticism of the sound and regarding to this the desire for more strictness with the attendance. Regarding the organization there were following comments: “prepare better”, “pre-scheduling and material in advance”, “more focused questions”, “less tasks”, “interactive session”, more information about participants and desire for online group. There is also the desire for more participation of students (also mentioned in the additional comments) and for a spread of awareness among the students. Regarding the time and attendance a smaller number of participants could be invited nest time. This would also give the chance to incorporate more interactive sessions. A permanent network with online groups and more material or information e. g. about the other participants (if share is wished) will be implemented in the future. The way of participation of the students was made up with intent and the participation of more students and the contact between students and stakeholders will be implemented in future activities. Answers from the evaluation forms:
