The heat protectingglass closes off flush with thefront surface of the cover nut.This means no dust depositscan form which wouldotherwise result in a loss ofrange. A ring between thesensor and protective glassmakes sure the system issealed.

All BOS 18 photoelectricsensors can be equippedwith a 90° rotatable head.The table shows theappropriate rotatable headfor each switch type andindicates the correspondingreduction factor (RF) to applyto the range.In the case of a through-beam sensor both the emitterand receiver can be fittedwith a 90° rotatable head.Each rotatable head reducesthe range by approx. 15 % to30 %.
