First, I worked with her as a student in our Facu ltv of Education at York University; I was working as the International Education Coordinator, and facilitated her participation in an international exchange program to Freiburg, Germany during the summer of 2011. The exchange program includes a competitive application process, and Priya was a successful candidate in the application process. She was a great ambassador for the university while on exchange, and also upon returning home, encouraging her colleagues to participate in similar learning opportunities. As a student, she also participated in additional events with the Faculty of Education Student Association (FESAl, and participated as a panel member in a few presentations to students, talking about her experience on the exchange program. Then, in the fall of 2013, I hired Priya to work with me in the Internation aI Ed ucation Office in the Faculty of Ed ucation on a short-te rm contract (which lasted until the spring of 2014), where she was the Administrative Secretary. She inte racted with incoming grou ps of stude nt teach ers and teachers as a "front line" member of our office, and helped with maintaining the operation of programs and office fu nctions, In all of these roles, Priya has been very positive, pleasant, welcoming and a great ambassador for international learning opportunities and an outgoing colleague. She is a "people person" who can easily converse with other people and is inclusive of those who come from different International and intercultural contexts. Based on my experiences, I am sure that she is a very positive and welcoming teacher to all of the students in her classroom. Her outgoing personality is able to put people at ease, which would be an asset for both students, parents and colleagues in a school setting. Please feel free to contact me if you require any further information. I can be reached at +1-416-736-2100 extension 55492 or by email [email protected]. re: Priya Mathur - Reference

To Whom It May Concern,

I am pleased to provide a reference letter for Priya Mathur, who I have known in a

few diffe rent ca pacities. She was a great ambassador for the university while on

exchange, and also upon returning home, encouraging her colleagues to participate in similar learning opportunities.

She inte racted with incoming grou ps of stude nt teach ers and teachers as a "front line" member of our office, and helped with maintaining the operation of programs and office fu nctions,

In all of these roles, Priya has been very positive, pleasant, welcoming and a great

ambassador for international learning opportunities and an outgoing colleague. She is a "people person" who can easily converse with other people and is inclusive of those who come from different International and intercultural contexts. Based on my experiences, I am sure that she is a very positive and welcoming teacher to all of the students in her classroom. Her outgoing personality is able to put people at

ease, which would be an asset for both students, parents and colleagues in a school setting.
