The Lifeguards Project is new for 2015. It is provided by Crosstrainer Kids - an organisation which exists to teach children and young people to look after themselves physically and mentally.

Harry the heart and Larry the lifeguard are the main characters. With the endorsement of some local sports stars, and Heart Research UK, they encourage the young readers to follow an exercise plan and eat healthy foods.

Inside the booklet there are puzzles, diagrams and a smoothie recipe. Certificates are also offered on completion of training.

Being a Lifeguard means making healthy choices and fighting off the temptation to make unhealthy choices. Funny cartoons were seen as a good way to get this message across.

RETURN OF THE TIME TRAVELLING PUPPETS

Following on from the successful Daniel and the Lions Den comic book, Klass Kids have produced another set of energetic adventures with their puppets playing the parts of Bible characters.

These parables have been retold in a modern, funny, child-friendly way.

*Klass Kids run a dynamic after-school programme that presents the truth of God’s Word in an enjoyable and contemporary style. Their programmes include songs, quizzes, multimedia and puppets. The Klass Kids team also take school assemblies.

The dance machine has a wooden low-tech look about

it on purpose. These sorts of things were not around in ancient times so the a lot of

artistic licence was used.

The father was so glad to have his son return back home that he has a party - these pages are full of colour and

action. Note what is on the table (a kicking donkey toy).
