Today is the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi

“THE WINE OF THE LORD OF ARMIES IS THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL”

In the language of a human love song, the prophet speaks in the first reading about God’s love for his people. Like a worker who dedicates all his care to his vineyard, and it does not bear the expected fruit. It is a symbolization of history, accused of infidelity. The prophetic accusation points to God present in the human situation of violence and lament. It is a dramatic call to justice, for God to appear.

In the second reading, Paul answers the question if we had to incorporate the good that was in pagan morality or, on the contrary, we had to make a clean sweep of everything and create a Christian morality completely? Saint Paul responds that Christianity does not invent morality, but conditions it in a certain sense: “Whatever you have learned, received, heard and seen in me, put it into action.”

Today the Gospel of Saint Matthew tells us that the Kingdom of God is not linked to any nationality, to any race, to any culture. For this reason, many complaints about the crisis of faith should give way to sincere reflections on one’s own culpability in the supposed collapse of the faith of a particular people or civilization. “Give the vineyard to other farmers.”

Consecration to Our Lady of the Rosary ! Oh Mother! You know the sufferings and hopes of the Church: Help your children in the daily trials that life reserves for each one of them and make, through our efforts, that the darkness does not prevail over light. To you, Mother of Salvation, we entrust through the Holy Rosary that you gave to Saint Dominic, the path of the new millennium, so that under your guidance all people discover Christ, the Light of the world and our only Savior, who reigns with the Father. and the Holy Spirit forever and ever, Amen.

And let us remember that “Family that prays together stays together”. And today Sunday we will have the first mass in Spanish at 6:00 pm, everyone is welcome.

Domingo XXVII del Tiempo Ordinario Mes del Santo Rosario y las MisionesFIESTA DE SAN FRANCISCO DE ASIS

“LA VINA DEL SEÑOR DE LOS EJÉRCITOS ES LA CASA DE ISRAEL”

En el lenguaje de un canto de amor humano habla el profeta en la primera lectura sobre el amor de Dios a su pueblo. Como un obrero que dedica todos sus cuidados a su viña, y esta no le da el fruto esperado. Es una simbolización de la historia, acusada de infidelidad. La acusación profética señala a Dios presente en la situación humana de violencia y lamento. Es una dramática llamada a la justicia, para que Dios se manifieste.

En la segunda lectura, Pablo responde a la pregunta si ¿había que incorporar lo bueno que hubiera en la moral pagana o, por el contrario, había que hacer tabla rasa de todo y crear por completo una moral cristiana? San Pablo responde que el cristianismo no inventó la moral, sino que la condiciona en un sentido determinado: “Todo lo que aprendisteis, recibisteis, oísteis y visteis en mí, ponedlo por obra”.

Hoy el Evangelio de San Mateo nos afirma que el Reino de Dios no está vinculado a ninguna nacionalidad, a ninguna raza, a ninguna cultura. Por eso, muchas quejas sobre las crisis de fe deberían dar paso a reflexiones sinceras sobre la propia culpabilidad en el supuesto derrumbamiento de la fe de un pueblo o de una civilización determinada. “Arrendara la viña a otros labradores”.

Consagración a Nuestra Señora del Rosario : ¡Oh Madre!, que conoces los sufrimientos y las esperanzas de la Iglesia: Ayuda a tus hijos en las pruebas cotidianas que la vida reserva a cada uno y haz que, por el esfuerzo de todos, las tinieblas no prevalezcan sobre la luz. A ti, aurora de la Salvación, confiamos a través del Sto. Rosario que entregaste a Sto. Domingo, el camino del nuevo milenio, para que bajo tu guía todos los hombres descubran a Cristo, Luz del mundo y Único Salvador, que Reina con el Padre y el Espíritu Santo por los siglos de los siglos, Amén.

ADULT’S SACRAMENTSADULT SACRAMENTS-RCIA, OPEN

The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) is a process for adults, who freely wish to undertake the journey of faith and conversion, seeking for the living God through the Sacraments.

The RCIA process starts on Sunday September 13th, 2020 and is aimed at the following candidates:

1. Adults who have not been baptized and wish to do so in the Catholic Faith.

2. Baptized Christians of other denominations who wish to be part of the Catholic Church.

3. Baptized Catholic adults who wish to receive the Sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation to complete the Christian Initiation Sacraments.

For baptized and catechized adults who wish to complete the Sacrament of Confirmation or First Communion, we have a 9-week process, which begins on Friday, October 2, 2020 and ends on Friday, November 27, 2020.
