William R. Ebsworth Executive in Residence Babson College Fund Wellesley MA 02457 [email protected] April 7, 2015 To Whom It May Concern: Alfredo Leon Sierraalta did very good work as a member of my Babson College Fund (BCF) team this past year, focusing on the financial sector. The BCF manages about $2 million of the Babson college endowment. Students apply and compete to join the BCF each year on the basis of their demonstrated interest and ability in equities analysis and research. Alfredo was selected from a pool of about 20 applicants based on his aptitude, written research, a stock ‘pitch,’ and a faculty interview. During his year on our financials team Alfredo demonstrated a strong ability to screen equities, research company prospects, build earnings, cash flow, and balance sheet models, and develop and articulate a sound investment thesis on each stock he covered. He was very good at presenting his work to our team as well as the larger BCF group, an audience of about 36 students and faculty. During these presentations Alfredo provided thoughtful answers to questions, thinking well on his feet. And over this past year the team’s stock picks outperformed the sector. He has a diligent work ethic, and is a strong team member, always willing to help others. Alfredo was a pleasure to work with. I believe he would make a very good addition to any investment research team and recommend him highly. Sincerely, William R. Ebsworth
