What is a pronoun?

• A pronoun is a substitute for a noun.

• For example: After Mr. Williams gave the lesson, he assigned his class homework.They complained until the bell rang.It took more than 3 hours to do!

It can take a life-changing moment for a person to find his or her true self.

What is an Introductory Clause?

• A phrase that comes at the beginning of the sentence to provide background about when/where/how/why/to what degree something happens.
