over-year gains in buyer activity for the MRIS region. Pending Sales were

up 14.7 percent from a year prior to 2,040 purchase agreements signed.

percent from year-ago levels. That's the fifth consecutive week of inventory

drops and may be attributed to strong purchase demand coupled with slow

listing activity.

Although December's monthly figures show slight growth in Months Supply

of Inventory, the figure stands at 6.8 months – just outside the ideal five to

six range. That's only one additional month of supply than the 5.8 monthsseen in December 2006.

Market times were up from December 2009 by six days to register in at 91

days for December 2010. Sellers, on average, received about 92.0 percent
