A 4-H Members’ Quickstart to Record Booking with Edmodo

Welcome! We will…
• Set up individual Edmodo accounts for 4-H members
• Demonstrate features of the Edmodo program that can be used for project, club, or program business.
• Learn how to find and complete Record Book assignments.
• More information about Edmodo is available in the Edmodo manual
Setting up Member Accounts
Using Edmodo for 4-H RBing requires that you belong to a group.
Your 4-H leader will give you the code, now.

You can personalize your profile with a 4-H appropriate clip-art or picture of yourself
Record Booking
The 4-H Record Book (RB) is completed through a series of assignments.
Find them under the heartbeat at the top of your Edmodo screen.
Scroll to the bottom of the assignments to complete the first: The“4-H Introduction.”

Type your assignment into the reply box, below.
Follow the example provided for you.
Your leaders may coach you as you go along.

The assignments contain• 3 SMART goals• 9 more optional goals
Juniors: at least 1 goal.
Intermediates & seniors: at least 3 goals.
Optional goal assignments can be used when goals change, or if you want to track more goals.

Write your SMART goal in the “Type a Reply” box.
Instructions and an example are provided.

Your leaders will be looking for your updates and be ready to give you support and answer your questions.

You can find some tools for completing your financial records in FOLDERS.

Simply download the blank form.
Complete it.
Upload it.
Download your OWN form and reupload each time the assignment is due.
The Permanent Record Book (PRB)
The PRB is the last assignment. Accessing an Edmodo-based PRB requires joining another Edmodo group. The leader will give you this code.
PRB Example
Here is an example of a 4-Hers’ list of public presentations from her PRB.
Unlike the annual RB, the 4-Her updates the PRB every year. This way it creates a permanent record of the 4-Hers’ career.
PlannerBy clicking on the “Blue 30” you can access a calendar.
RB assignment deadlines will display here.
Leaders can post events and activities.
You can make “task lists” in the box called, “someday.”
