1.0 AwareTM Telematics Vehicles This installation procedure is for AwareTM Telematics, and the integration of the Bosch/Rexroth 440RC Controller. This installation procedure is for all vehicles equipped with an AwareTM Telematics Module, and a Bosch/Rexroth 440RC Controller.

2.0 How the system works The AwareTM Telematics module is a data collection, and communication system, which is mounted on a vehicle. It consists of a GPS, cellular antenna, and a data communicator module. The data communicator module collects the vehicle’s location, system information, and sends it to the network control center through wireless technology.

The Bosch/Rexroth 440RC Controller provides the operation for the Snow Plow Spreader functions. These functions may include, but are not limited to, the amount of granular material and pre-wet material that has been discharged.

An RS232 cable will be installed between the AwareTM Telematics module and the Bosch/Rexroth 440RC Controller on the vehicle. The AwareTM Telematics module communicates with the Bosch/Rexroth 440RC Controller via the RS232 cable. The data, which is collected by the AwareTM Telematics module, is then sent to the AwareTM Telematics website.
