AS YORKSHIRE EMERGES FROM THE AFTERMATH OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC, A TEAM OF AWARD-WINNINGFILMMAKERS, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL AUTHORITIES, LOCAL ENTERPRISE PARTNERSHIPS, WELCOME TO YORKSHIRE AND SOME OF THE BIGGEST COMPANIES IN THE REGION, WILL PRODUCE A CINEMATIC MARKETING CAMPAIGN TO SPEARHEAD A POST-PANDEMIC REVIVAL TO ATTRACT INWARD INVESTMENT.

Unprecedented times calls for unprecedented action and to meet the moment, Yorkshire needs to be bold. That’s why, now more than ever, we need to unite and collaborate together to support safe and sustainable industry.

Project Yorkshire, is part of that unprecedented action. A post-pandemic campaign to support the region’s marketing arsenal and spearhead an economic revival to attract inward investment.

The campaign, which features 3 core elements, promises to showcase the economic and industrial strengths of our key sectors in ways that has never been presented before - exciting and inspiring audiences - paying homage to the Yorkshire way of life, it’s natural beauty and of course, our people.

Central to that campaign is a 15 minute film, Part 1, which is now being filmed across the region by a team of award-winning filmmakers that have worked on some of the biggest blockbusters and commercials of the last decade. They include The Hobbit, James Bond: Quantum of Solace, Star Wars, Scott and Sid, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, 28 Days Later and Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation.

The narrative is being developed in collaboration with Local Authorities, Local Enterprise Partnerships, Welcome to Yorkshire as well as a number of leading business from across the region. and will be narrated by an A-list film star.

We’ve also enlisted some of the UK’s top marketing specialists to implement a distribution campaign strategy, Part 2, that will make Project Yorkshire an online sensation and we expect to generate in excess of 25 million views from its global release later this year.

The final piece of the project, Part 3, is a royalty-free stock website - a database containing 1000’s of images, video clips and sound FX of all things Yorkshire.

This digital library will transform the creative process of building digi-tal campaigns where marketing teams, media and news outlets, broad-casters, creative agencies and those in the public sector can access a huge database of content, preview it and then instantly download it.

Just take a moment to consider the ripple effect that would have on your marketing and then think how that will add so much value to how the collective Yorkshire’s value proposition is perceived across the entire industrial spectrum.

For the second time in twelve years, we’ll have the incredible task of re-building our community and our economy.

We’ve been through some of the most horrific events in recent memory, with jobs lost, months without seeing the closest people in our lives and have carried the global sense of mourning for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
