Portfolio RequirementsApplicants for undergraduate study are required to submit a portfolio of recent artwork that rep-resents your artistic interests and demonstrates your technical skills and ability. You should include examples of artwork that reflect the full range of your ideas, interests, experience, and abilities in the arts to date. Applicants must sub-mit a portfolio of 12-20 pieces of artwork. Please contact us to set up a portfolio review.

Application DeadlinesJanuary 15 is the priority admission dead-line for most graduate programs. If space is available, applications for the following pro-grams will be accepted through April 1: Art Education, Community Arts, Critical Studies, Curatorial Practice, Filmmaking, Social Design, and Teaching.

April 1 is the priority admission deadline for Business of Art & Design, Design Leadership MBA/MA, Information Visualization, UX Design, and Post-Baccalaureate programs.

Portfolio RequirementsApplicants for graduate study are required to submit a portfolio of individual work. Each graduate program at MICA has different requirements about the amount, type, and media of the portfolio. Please review the exact guidelines for each program before submit-ting your application.
