their !hirping to the rhythm of the rain& A forty year old distressed man in a

bright red #aterproof par*a #ith an old Yan*ees !ap donned on his head)

s*ilfully manoeuvred a ri!*ety #heel!hair to#ards the nostalgi! +entral Par*& %e

stopped in front of the fen!ed o$ (eld) !losed his dim blue eyes and started to

reminis!ently dream&

%e remembers the !ry from the !ro#d as he runs from (rst to se!ond and then

to#ards third base& he thrill of the run& he feather li*e legs that ta*e him from

one base to another& he #ind in his fa!e) slipping through the strea*s in his hair

as he s!ores the #inning run for his team& %is hot) healthy body that the ladies

#ould yearn and lust for) #as dripping #ith s#eat from the heat& he millions

autographs that he #ould sign after#ards as he e,its the stadium #ould numb

his hand after#ards& he millions of fans #ho #ould surround him as he gets into

his bright red sports !ar and the feeling to ta*e o$) leaving his fans in the dust

#as addi!ting& Speeding through the side roads) avoiding tra! lights and

pedestrians ali*e& %e hits a sharp bend but !ould not brea* in time& %e smashes

the !ar straight into a pole) !ausing it to bend ba!*#ards& %is unfastened seat

belt proved to be his last fatal mista*e as he #as sent out the !ar straight into

the pole in front of him& %is eyes start to blur) then they drop and return to

nothing&
