Project #1: Core Finance and Accounting system

Description: The project is designed to help Union Pacific (UP) meet its Finance and Information
technology objectives by supporting new ways of doing business, improving the integration of the core
Finance functions with other areas of the business, enhancing internal controls and providing more
timely financial information. This involves replacing the 30-plus-year-old financial and accounting
structure with a new state-of-the-art system from SAP's in-memory HANA solution.
Responsibilities:
Active Participation in roadmap development and responsible for project implementation.
Analyzed existing complex systems to understand and document data elements, relationships,
data flow, and dependencies.
Creation of Configuration in SLT (SAP Landscape Transformation) and replicated the data from
source system to SAP HANA system.

the dealed status. It also supports the ad-hoc reporting requirements of users.

and to company on the mainframe application. Auto insurance provides property, liability and medical
coverage. The policy is comprised of different kinds of coverage and many states require the insurer to
have these coverages. As part of the process, the project involves modifying the programs to the existing
application to met client requirements. This process will automatically generate reports and all pertinent
information to the respective insurer of the Nationwide.
