Earth Hour - March 24, 2018 A Parliament initiative to support Earth Hour is go-ing ahead on March 29. All classrooms will turn off their lights from 9am - 10am, for one hour. The aim of this initiative is to remind us to save power and become aware of our over use of global resources. National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence/ Harmony Day - 2 terrific days of aware-ness activities were held last fortnight. Thank you to the parents who attended the Learning @ Morisset day last week. Mrs Metse presented parents with an information session Help your child read at Home using Pause, Prompt, Praise. It was an inter-esting session which I am sure gave parents an in-sight into how to help their child with reading.

P&C News

Happy Easter to you all! Thank you for your donations towards the Easter Raffle - it

will be drawn on Thursday 29th March (tomorrow) at the Easter Hat Parade, which

starts at midday. Please note that the school Cross Country run is taking place prior

to the Easter Hat Parade as well, so lots of reasons to turn up and watch!

Thermomix raffle tickets are still available from the office. Each purchaser has been sent their ticket

details via email with the extended draw date of 4th May.

Unfortunately the WSLA P&C Meeting was cancelled so there is no news from there.

Our own P & C meeting was held this morning, Wednesday 28th March in the multipurpose room.

If you haven’t already done so, please download the MPS app to your phone or tablet. It’s one of the

ways that the school, and P&C, communicate with parents about day to day events/changes at the

school and is really useful. Go to your app store, search for Morisset Public School and then down-

load. Easy!

Currently we have several new canteen volunteers, and we’re immensely grateful to them for joining

the team – as well as still very grateful to all our existing canteen volunteers – we couldn’t run it with-

out you! If you’re interested in joining the canteen team, please let the office have your name and con-

tact details and we’ll get in touch with you!

Support Morisset Primary School and you’ll be rewarded!

We are raising funds and you can help.

Order the NEW 2018 | 2019 Entertainment

Book or Entertainment Digital Membership

and you will receive hundreds of valuable

offers for everything you love to do, and

you will also be supporting our School.

PLUS, order now to receive over $200 of

bonus Early Bird Offers (hurry, these sell

out quickly).

Price $65.00
