Much thanks to the Westminster Church who helped sponsor our weekend. I have been ministering to the homeless for 4 years as a Chaplain at Central Outreach & Advocacy Center, which is an outreach ministry to those who find themselves in the condition of homelessness. We have had some blessed meaningful times of ministry in the past, particularly in our Bible study/prayer times. However, for the last 3 months, our Bible study has taken on a more rigorous tone. This is primarily due to the faith of several homeless brothers who are serious minded about following Jesus and that God is raising up despite their endur ing the difficult challenges of homelessness. PTL! Please pray for Greg, Rudolph, Dustin, Eddie & Dwayne (soldier) for strength to follow Jesus faith fully! There are times when I am unable to be there because of work responsibilities. I was blessed and thrilled that the time has become so meaningful to us that they had the desire to meet even when I’m una ble to be there. Reasons for Giving Thanks

God is good, all the time! Can you believe it’s the Christmas season already? We have many rea-sons to give thanks as we prepare our hearts for the celebration of our King’s coming and our bodies for the cooler winter weather. This year, we celebrate our 20th year in ministry. We thank the Lord for His sustaining grace in allowing us to minister from our humble mission home at 1008 Kirkwood in Reynoldstown. One late hot August day, we cele-brated with family & friends who had gathered for a worship service which included prayer, praise, testi-monies, food & fellowship. We give thanks for the several projects that volunteers helped us accom-plish in preparation for the anniversary: 1) we pre-pared & painted a good portion of our mission home;; 2) cleaned out the garage (a BIG project) it’s amazing how quickly stuff accumulates that you think you’ll use someday;; 3) erected a storage shed;; 4) refreshed the driveway with two loads of gravel. In addition to the traditional summer excur-sions to Tennessee to attend Junior (8-12) & then Teen Camp (13-18) at Cedine, we were blessed to visit Camp Westminster for a special weekend camp October 25-27. Cathey, Mary Ruth didn’t throw much away as we found much plastic cutlery, plates, serving dishes & even an “old school” “etch a sketch” game which fasci-nated our young people although I don’t think it will unseat the electronics and computer games as their game of choice. We stumbled on a few prayer lists & encouraging notes that Dr. Ben used to write people and we’ll be sharing a few slides that we discovered at one of our monthly men’s meetings soon. Held firmly by the bright anchor of our souls, Doug, Cathey & the boys (RJ + RT) For Reynoldstown Mission Fellowship Praise, Prayer, & Need List: - Praise for my wife, Catheyrine, being selected to the board of “Smart & Secure Children,” a neighborhood healthy child development project of the Morehouse School of Medicine. It reflects her love & concern for the next generation and seeing they get accurate infor-mation to help propel them to making better decisions. - Praise for Derrick Andrews (one of the 3 D brothers) recent release from Nebraska jail & Desmon Ivery’s recent release from an Atlanta jail. Derrick has secured a job—please pray for that same thing to happen for Desmon. - Praise for Daryl Andrews, (Derrick’s twin brother) a junior at Albany State, whose football Rams came back to win the S.I.A.C. Championship and whose parents Lonnie & Regina proceeded to get baptized after their sons were baptized. Praise for the testimony of having a pastor pray before the game began! As a family, we attended every sermon he preached at a church in the neighborhood last summer. - Praise for Mother Mattie Ivey’s continued healing & persevering good attitude as she has resided at Arrow-head Healthcare for the last 5 months. It has been a great learning opportunity for our body as several of our members have visited and ministered with us. Sev-eral of the residents have come to church as a result. - For grace & healing for long time friends of the min-istry, Aunt Brenda Sweatman and Barbara Jordan as she undergoes radiation treatments for lung cancer.

- For grace & healing for Bohne family. Linda, a 41-year old daughter, who was a pleasant person, took her own life after living a lesbian lifestyle and never really accepted her gender identity.

- For fund raising for the Liberia mission trip. Thank God for my wife, Cathey, who has continued the Mission Jar saving of coins pennies, dimes, & nick-els for 14 years. My wife has challenged our fami-lies and other young people to get involved in sav-ing also. She has asked to them to donate at least $20 worth of coins to help toward the mission trip to Liberia.

- Still looking for that ping pong table for the young people so we transform our garage into a meeting place for the youth

- In each of our 20 years of full-time ministry, we have struggled on a part time salary. We are very grateful for the loyal generous supporters the Lord has blessed us with. We are just looking for more of them. We encourage those of you who haven’t joined us in our venture of reclaiming lives for His glory, to prayerfully consider joining us by becom-ing a ministry partner. We are in need!!! We need to raise an additional $2000 in monthly support. The need is great, however, our God is greater!! We re-ally sense that the Lord is getting ready to use us in some substantial ways, however, we can’t do it without you. Please prayerfully consider how you might participate. We are seeking 50 ministry part-ners who will give $25, $50, $75 or $100 in monthly support.

Testimonies from 20 years of sowing seed:

Dexter Andrews (20): sophomore at GA State. Called us at 7:30 am the morning of Dec.20 to let us know that he had just received his grades from his final exams & had pulled his average up to 2.86. PTL! This student athlete transferred from Albany

State where his brother, Daryl, attends, and his grades are now high enough to allow him to tryout for the foot-ball team. Dexter has set his sights on becoming a football and an athletic director.

Antisha Patrick (21): junior at GA. State. Training to practice law and become a defense lawyer. She wrote a dedication which was read to the people that attended Westminster Camp which she was unable to attend be-cause of her study load:

“I was 4 years old when Bro. Doug and Mrs. Cathey came into my life. As a kid, I did not understand the con-cept of church or why we even had to go. They made an effort to get to know my family. They always spoke to my mom, my aunt and my grandmother. Reynoldstown helped shape the people we grew up to be. The ma-jority of my best memories circle around Reynoldstown and the family we made. No, we were not blood relat-ed, but that did not stop us from accepting each other as sister and brother. There was always love between everyone. Every now and then, the kids would have little disputes, but by next Sunday we were all cool again. Camp Westminster was my favorite place to go. Every time we went our bond would become stronger. I re-member sitting in circles in the front area and just singing. My absolute favorite thing about camp was our last night. We would make a fire and make s’mores. We would tell stories and reminisce on this wonderful trip we had just taken. Everyone would mope because we knew it was our last night. On this night, I really felt as if everyone there was one blood. I knew that I would never want to lose those guys. You guys have done so much for me and my family over the years and I will never be able to express how much I appreciate it. I love you guys and I always will.”

- Love, Buffy (Antisha’s nickname)

These testimonies are precious jewels that we’ll treasure for a lifetime. They serve as beacons of hope to encourage on our inner city ministry pilgrimage and to let us know that our labors are not in vain!
