WELCOME TO OUR NEW BRAZEAU COUNTY BUSINESS!
Jason Syberg of Iron Wood Cabinet Company
loves the rural lifestyle and services Brazeau
County has to offer.
“I wanted to come back to Alberta and have
an acreage,” he says. “And I love the people
here.”
After doing award-winner carpentry in British
Columbia, Syberg began to create his custom
cabinets and furniture in his shop in the old
Dunnington School on RR 84 in March. Iron
Wood Cabinet Company offers custom design-
er kitchens and joinery solutions for the entire
home. Among the beautiful pieces he has
crafted are kitchen tables formed from a sin-
gle piece of Costa Rican wood.

presenting a plaque on behalf of Brazeau
County to Jason Syberg, of Iron Wood Cabinet
Company, welcoming the new business to the
County.
A welder by trade, Syberg worked in the aerospace industry before
switching to cabinetry when he was 30. He started a small operation
in Kelowna, and won awards from the Canadian Homebuilders Asso-
ciation. In 2012, decided to take a year off. He resurfaced in Brazeau
County. And while he is based here, Iron Wood can service all of
Western Canada. He is able to work on a number of different kinds
of projects, from new home construction, custom interior millwork,
and renovations. He has worked on packages as large as a quarter of
a million dollars.
He creates his designs using AutoCAD, and can show clients the de-
signs in 3D before he starts working with the wood, ensuring clients
get exactly what they want for their homes.

WELCOME TO OUR NEW BRAZEAU COUNTY BUSINESS!
Struth Permits likes to think they are not only in the
business of saving long-haul truckers time and money
but their sanity! And we think that is a winning combi-
nation for our latest business in Brazeau.
By securing oversize permits for hauling across Canada
and the United States, Struth Permits owner Jennifer
Myslicki saves on hiring and paperwork headaches for
each of their clients.
“Trucking companies don’t have to hire someone, and
drivers don’t have to stop for permits,” Myslicki ex-
plains. “If you are driving from Alberta to Texas, that’s
four or five permits, so you are saving a lot of time.”
As an example, Myslicki says she has been on hold with
permitting agencies as long as 45 minutes.
Featured above is Councillor Maryann
Thompson presenting a plaque on be-
half of Brazeau County to Jennifer
Myslicki, of Struth Permits, welcoming
the new business to the County.
In addition to 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. office hours, Myslicki is on
call 24/7 for clients’ convenience.
Because Struth Permits is a home-based business, Myslicki
and her young family can enjoy all Brazeau County has to
offer while serving clients in Calgary and other parts of
Alberta, proof you don’t have to be in a big city to do big
city business.
Lots of her work is done online, Myslicki says, allowing her
to work from home and enjoy the rural Alberta lifestyle –
going global and staying local.
“I wouldn’t be able to do it otherwise,” she says. “I like that
it’s more peaceful here than in the city.”
Myslicki has been in business for three months, and is tak-
ing new clients.
