In addition to the above generic modules you will also study further modules from

your chosen specialism.

Our Professional Masters programmes commence in September and are designed to

be completed in two years. They are delivered over the following semester based

structure;

Year 1 

Semester 1 - September to January (15 week schedule)

Semester 2 - February to June (15 week schedule)

Semester 3 - June to September (10 weeks study time)

Year 2 

Semester 4 - September to January (15 weeks schedule)

Semester 5 - February to June (15 weeks schedule)

Semester 6 - June to September (10 weeks study time)

LEARNING AND TEACHING METHODS

Modules will be assessed by approximately 50% Coursework and 50% Examination.

Coursework will be submitted on-line at well managed intervals during the

programme. Where examinations are the form of assessment, suitable locations will

be identified which will be determined by student demand and place of residence.

CAREERS

The programme accommodates students who wish to begin employment as soon as

possible at graduation and provides a means of efficient access to a career beyondtheir undergraduate academic subject area. Because of the recognised benefits of

recruiting from a high quality postgraduate base, the programme has the support of

employers. In addition to employers, the programme also fulfils the longstanding

aspiration of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered

Institute of Building (CIOB) to attract motivated and high quality 'non-cognate' as well

as 'close-cognate' graduates into the profession. The School has entered into a

partnership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) to promote

excellence in teaching and the surveying profession. On enrolling on the programme

students will be eligible to begin the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence.
