There seemed to be a sense of excitement and joyful impatience throughout the campus. This was the atmosphere at Kristu Jayanti College on the 24th of January 2015, as it commenced its annual sports meet, ‘Kridotsava 2015’. Kridotsava is the largest fest of the col- lege. This is not just a one or two day fest. The path for this grand venture in- volved various prelims and challenging rounds for different sports events, which began a month prior to the final showdown. It is also the first and the most major event of the even semes- ter, igniting a wonderful light for the events that come after. A highlight of this year’s meet that can- not be overlooked is the presence of a renowned individual, Shri Sachin S Balwadi, a winner of the Kempagowda Award and Senior Karnataka State Basketball player. “When talent does- n’t work, work harder. The entire Jayant- ian crowd was divided into six teams: Bengaluru Bulls, Patna Pirates, Hy- derabad Titans, Mumbai Fighters, Delhi Dabaang, Chennai Xpress and Jaipur Panthers. The day began with the march pass where the team Hy- derabad Titans bagged the prize for the best marching team, followed by Patna Pirates and Bengaluru Bulls as first and second runners up respec- tively. h the glory of over-all champi- onship. The day had more than just runs, throws and long jumps. There were moments of delightful games that in- volved the crowd, both students and staff alike. These games, along with many other dramatic and interesting activities, made Kridotsava an amusing experience for the senses. One of the many important purposes of conducting fests is to induce competi- tiveness among the students. We battle our way through competitions to win. Winners, at the end, steal the show. This year’s Annual Sports Meet had many winners from different teams. Everyone fought hard in their march to- wards victory. But only one team stood apart and made it to the top: The Ban- galuru Bulls. The team bagged the over-all trophy and proved to be the champions that they were. This was a memorable day for a lot of people. To participate, watch or involve in sports always brings a feeling of un- explainable nostalgia. For most of us it reminds of our childhood, where life is much simpler and carefree. Kridotsava has helped the Jayantian family rejoice, remember and reminisce a lot of beau- tiful memories and left them with a feel- ing of harmonious hope. Students felicitated at Kridotsava.
