DESIGN PROOF TEST
All manufactured Butt-Weld Fittings are covered by an approved Proof Test Report
We have CRN’s for every Canadian Province including ABSA
We also manufacture fittings to Clients’ technical agreements which might have more stringent design criteria then our proof test results

CANADOIL FORGE IS COMMITTED TO STRINGENTQUALITY CONTROL PROCESSES AND
PROCEDURES
We’ve developed a solid Manufacturer Procedure Specifications (MPS) document which demonstrates our QC procedures for every manufacturing process and their control points.
Each MPS is adapted to the applicable manufacturing standard (CSA or MSS) and Client’s specification(s).
Our Inspection and Test Plans(Manufacturer/ Client/ TPI) sets out clearly what inspection activities are required to be done during different manufacturing or QC processes.
The Inspection Activities consists of:

INCOMING RAW MATERIALINSPECTION
Verification that the received Plate chemistry is within the limits of our internal restricted plate chemistry instructions
Actual thickness measurement of each plate is verified by QC at its reception
An internal Heat number is given to each Mill Heat / per thickness received
A product analysis is conducted on each heat to validate the mill ladle analysis.

UNIQUE TRACEABILITY NUMBERS
• All butt-weld fittings are given, from the start of the manufacturing process, a sequential piece number, called Serial Number which can be traced back up to the raw material.
• The radiography number is, also, a unique identification that can also be used for traceability purposes.

CONTROL OF OUR HEAT TREATMENTPROCESS
Heat Treatment is done by Trained Operators H.T. Operators validate that the H.T. instructions stated
on shop traveller are in accordance with the H.T. procedure and “Standardization H.T Dwell Time” Table
H.T. Travellers are filled out with the following points:• Indication of number of fitting(s)/lot, • Their location in furnace, • The position of the test coupons, • The temperature of the water basin before and after quench • The travel time between furnace and water basin for each fitting• Time maintained under the agitated water for each fitting

QC Technician validates daily that the H.T. Operators have followed the H.T. instructions (Verification of H.T. Charts, H.T. Travellers, Required Mechanical Tests...etc.)
QC Technician enters in an electronic database the actual H.T. parameters for every fitting in furnace lot
Production / Quality departments have in time information on each fitting that has undergone the H.T. process
