Main Image – The main image is the main feature of the magazine and she has a serious look which is a common convention of a rock music magazine as it shows that the magazine is serious and illustrates the quality of the music thr0ughout. Masthead - It is Bold and large, the colours go with the rest of the magazine as a lot of red and white is used throughout. The title sits slightly behind the main image which happens a lot in magazines. Colour Scheme – the magazine has used mainly 3 different colours which are, black, red and white, It is common for a rock music magazine to use 4 colours.

Cover Line – the cover line for this magazine is ‘ADELE’ this shows that the main story in this certain magazine will be about her, this will attract the audience attention.

Text – The text is sized to best suit the magazine.

Barcode – These are used as a common convention of a magazine as all magazines need them as without they will not be able to be sold in shops.

Pull Quotes – “If you’ve got it, flaunt it…” this quote has been put on the front of the magazine to show that it has been used in the inside article which attracts the target audience and gives them an insight as to what is inside the magazine.

Layout- This contents page is different to other contents pages as it takes up two pages. Most contents pages only take up one page.

Photographs – On the contents page there is a range of photographs on the page this is used so they can show the readers to where they need to be and what is actually inside the magazine.

Language – the language used throughout this magazine is well written as it is made for adults and so it will be written like how a adult speaks.

Title– the title ‘Contents’ is showing the audience where to find the contents page in the magazine.

Page Numbers – these are used to navigate readers around the magazine so they can just skip to the page that they want quickly. The numbers which are highlighted suggest that they are the most important things throughout the magazine, the pages numbers are very helpful for the readers.

Editors Letter – This is a common convention of a music magazine as this allows the audience to get involved in the magazine by contacting the editor and this also allows then to get an idea of how the main artist is chosen.

Masthead – A small masthead has been used on this where it states ‘lady GAGA’ however a giant letter ‘L’ has been used which ‘Q’ used quite a lot when writing articles.

The Main Image – the image is placed on the left page and takes up the whole of the page. The image is of Lady Gaga as she is what the whole article is about.

Language – the language used in the article of this magazine is quite formal as it is aimed at a older audience.

Background– The background in this article is plain as older people will be reading it. Artists Name

– this is to clarify who the main article is about and involves them within the page which is a common convention of a music magazine.

Main Article - the article is set out in columns and the article only takes up one page. This is a common convention of a music magazine. As the article takes up one page the image fills the other.

Colours- The colours of this article match the rest of the magazine. Red, white and black are mainly used throughout ‘Q’ magazines and we can clearly see this in this article.

fits perfectly with the cover by size and colour, this is like a typical magazine.

The Main Image – the image is placed on the right page and takes up the whole of the page, however has a little bit of text placed at the top of the page showing the artists name ‘Haley Jones’ and showing that she has a new album out, this is a way of advertising.Colours- The colours of this article match the rest of the magazine. Red, white and black are mainly used throughout my magazines and we can clearly see this in this article itself. Background– The background in this article is plain as older people will be reading it, this also helps the font stand out on both pages. Plain white makes things stand out better.

Main Article - the article is set out in columns and the article only takes up one page. This is a common convention of a music magazine. The columns make the page look neat, and makes the article look more organised and easy to read. I have used to basic colours, red and black for the font.

Artists Name – this is to clarify who the main article is about and involves them within the page which is a common convention of a music magazine. This Is placed at the top of both pages, we know that the article is about ‘Haley Jones’ this is clear.

Language – the language used in the article of this magazine is quite formal as it is aimed at a older audience.
