    I、How to Install Access and Time Attendance

    Software

    1.You can use the AutoRun function in the disk as below, and click "Install Access and Time Attendance Software", then install automatically.

    2.Please install following the steps as below.

    Step 1 Choose Setup language.

    Step 2 Click next to prepare the installment.

    Step 3 Read the license agreement ,and choose "I accept the terms in the license agreement", then click the next step.

    Step 4 Insert the user name, then click the next step.

    Step 5 Confirm the installment route, and can click "change..." to change the installment route, then click the next step.

    Step 6 Click "Install" to start installment

    Step 7 Installing.

    II、Log In

    You could find out the image as above once you open the PGAccess software.

    User Name : pegasus

    Password: pongee

    After inputting correct user name and password, you could enter main screen of the PGAccess software as below:

    Description of main screen buttons

    Reader setting : it's same as setting => reader setting

    User : it's same as file=> user

    Show all : it's same as access record => show all

    Start receiving access record : it means start receiving access records. If

    the setting is under auto receive, modem, TCP/IP communication mode, it won't work before connectivity. Even though connectivity, it only can receive access records from the readers which is being connected to Modem or LAN port. Local reader is not confined to it.

    Stop receiving access record : it means stop receiving access records from

    all readers.

    Show/Hide real time data: show or hide the received data in photo mode when the program download the the access records from the Controllers.

    Show/Hide list data: show or hide the received data in list mode , when the program download the the access records from the Controllers.

    III、File

    Initial setting : it's basic setting for starting the software.

    Save access record(in Text) : save access records in txt format to another file.

    Save TA record as… : save Access records (Time Attendance Reader only) in txt format to another file.

    Custom text file format: This function allow you to make the text file format you want.

    Automatic adjust time : make schedule for automatically adjust time.

    Database : delete, compress, import, export database.

    Change background : change new background from the present one.

    User : add, delete or modify user name and password.

    1、Initial Setting

    Communication mode: you could select RS232 or RS422 or RS485 transmission mode.

    Card digits : you could select 6 digits or 8 digits, 10 digits for card no.

    Reader type : you could choose 3750 / 3760 /6730/5707 /6750 /2750 / PG2750 series.

    Auto receive :If you choose this option, the system will receive access records from all readers automatically.

    Auto re-upload time group: If you choose this option, the system will re-upload personal access map data which was upload failed.

    Automatic change the open door mode: If you choose this option, the system will change the open door mode automatically by the schedule.

    Time to upload the new added and valid card records: This function is to upload the new added and valid card number of timing.

    2、Database maintenance

    A、General

    Clearing access records:

    If you mark "clear access records" and key in date, it would clear out the past access records, and reserve access records from the date you keyed.

    Compress data :

    Owing to database is getting bigger while you execute it for some times, therefore, we should compress data to release enough space for the program.

    If you choose " compress data", it would compress database automatically when you log in the Software.

    B、Export / Import

    You could select three types of access records, personal data, door data at the same time and then choose export, import or import old database.

    If you choose export, the path of file is destination file.

    If you choose import or import old database, the path of file is origin file.

    Export: you should export data to be txt file. Note: the format of access records, personal data, door data reports are different.

    For examples : the format of access records is shown as below:

    Import : you should import data from origin txt file which format is shown as above to execute the function.

    Import old database : you could import data from old PGAccess.mdb file to retrench much time on key in data.

    Note: the format of file should be *.mdb and it's used for PGAccess software, otherwise it will get error message.

    C、Export traditional data

    Export Traditional data : it's received from readers and can not be changed to other format.

    You could select exporting mode by date or period.

    File Path : destination file of exporting the traditional data.

    Import the Original Format File:This function is to import the original format of text file to database.

    3、Chang path of access record / Graph of main screen

    The above txt file is provided for automatically saving origin file of access record. If you don't set up it, the software won't save automatically. Note: the path of file could be changed.

    Enable Custom text file format mode: If you don’t choose this function then it will be original text file format .

    Save as daily file: This function is to save daily access record to a file, and its path will be on the backup folder of software path.

    The above file is provided for changing graph of main screen, you could change new picture for main screen by this function.

    4、Custom Text File Format

    Please choose the fields what you need.

    Separate : You can Select comma, semicolon....etc, or you can type any symbol, or just no symbol.

    Started Character: , it is hex code "02h" , you can't see the character in the text file.

    Ended Character: G,:"13h" ,:"10h" ,you can't see the character in the text file.

    Card No. : Card Number, digital number are decided by Setting=>Initial Setting.

    Reader Address : the reader's address :00~09 . If the Communication mode is RS485, the reader's address :00~31.

    Data Number : The remained data.

    Duty Code : Duty code or the open-door mode code.

    Date/Time: You can select several format, or you can type the format which you need.

    For example : YYYY/MM/dd , the Date format string like : 2005/01/01, HH:mm:ss, the Time format string like : 13:10:15

    Stated Position : When you click any fields in "Sorting Data Fields" , you will see a number show in the text. It means the started position of the fields in the out string what you selected. The black color text will show you the complete text format string in the export text file.

    Note: Before use this function, you must choose two functions. Please go to [file] =>[Save as] and enable the following functions : "Enable Custom text file format mode" , "Save as daily file".

    5、Automatic Adjust Time

    You could adjust the time of readers automatically by the function everyday, every week or every month. If you choose the setting of every month, you could key in the date or which week of the month you want and then confirm the setting by OK button. Please refer to the setting as below:

    Start time : it's a beginning time of adjusting time of readers.

    Note : you should execute the function under the PGAccess software is running. For example, If you set up the automatic adjust time at PM14:30 every Wednesday, but you don't open the PGAccess software during the time, the function doesn't execute it.

    6、Set up user

    Add : add new user

    Edit : change password for user

    Delete : delete one user

    Please select the functions which the user is able to operate after log in, the user can only operate the functions which are clicked here

    Please press OK button after you finish the setting.

    IV、Setting

    Setting includes the functions as below :

    Connect setting : it is belong to reader connectivity, for example comport setting, IP address setting and so on.

    Personal setting : setting up personal data and show personal related information .

    Holiday setting : setting up holiday except weekend.

    Time zone setting : setting up 8 time zones at first and then select suitable time zones for Monday ~ Sunday.

    Automatic Duty Setting : setting up the duty code, and can automatically convert along with the time zones which had been set, this function must be done in File.

    Note: each reader only could set up one time zone.

    Reader setting : programming all parameters of reader by this function.

    Access Group Setting :following the Access group to set up legal doors, time zones for each person.

    Add Access Group: If you want to use more access group setting, add the access group more.

    Inquire Door Access : to inquire the Personal Access Map

    Personal Operation must be under 1401 mode: Each person can has personal operation mode.

    Converting the door open mode automatically. (by Software) : This function is to change operation mode by time zone setting automatically

    Report setting : set up report format by the function.

    1、Connect Setting

    Select connecting mode: Local, Modem and TCP/IP.

    Comport : connect card readers to PC through RS232/422/485 interface.

    Modem : upload / download data by Modem.

    TCP/IP : upload / download data by LAN.

    A、COMPORT:

    Comport : you could follow your demand to select Com1 ~ Com4. The setting is only provided for comport.

    B、TCP/IP

    You should build related data by editing IP Address at first, and then select IP address, press Connect button to start connectivity. You could get connectivity situation by connecting status dialogue.

    C、Edit IP address

    It shows add, edit, delete functions when you press right button of mouse on above image. The screen of add or edit are shown as below:

    Please key in IP address and area and then press OK button.

    If you want to delete the data of IP address & area, you should select it as below and then delete it.

    Edit phone book : functions are same as "edit IP address" except IP address changes to phone no.

    2、Reader setting

    Please press right button of mouse after choosing the reader, you will get the functions as below :

    Add : add one reader

    Delete : delete one reader

    Initialize : (as off-line mode) the F4, 0750 function. Initializing the system as real-time mode state. The system will be initialized as :2101,2200,2300,2501,1500,1600,1100,3200,8600,8700,1700,8901,1900.

    Initialize : (as on-line mode) the F4, 0850 function. Initial the system as real-time mode state. The system will be initialized as :2101,2501,1500,1600,1100,3200,8600,8700,1700,8900,1900.

    Collect Data : start receiving access records from the reader you selected.

    Set parameter : upload parameters to the reader you wanted.

    Inquiry Parameter : check parameter details of the reader you selected.

    Adjust time : adjust the time of the reader you selected.

    Upload Holiday Setting : upload holiday to the reader you wanted.

    Upload Time Zone Data : upload time zone to the reader you wanted.

    Upload Time Zone for Automatic Change Open Door Mode:

    Open Door : open the door of the reader you wanted.

    Property : set parameter, description, address and time zone of the reader.

    A、Property

    i. General :

    It shows the image as below when you select property function, the items showed in "General" as based on the selection of "communication mode" of "Initial Setting" and the selection of "Connect Mode" of "Connection Setting".

    The image as below is for local reader with RS232 interface, if you choose other connecting mode or communication port, it would show different images for your application.

    Address Setting:

    Channel: the PCP832-X's Channel No

    Address: The address of controller , you can check by pressing "9"

    Description: Door Name

    for Access Control: It means the access records from this Controller will not be used with time attendance software.

    for Time Attendance: It means the access records from this Controller will be used with time attendance software.

    Waiting time for upload personal access map: The time of waiting for uploading personal access map to controller. 1=1/1000 second, you can adjust the timing by yourself. The number usually between 500~6000.

    Waiting time for receive data :The time of waiting for receiving data from reader. 1=1/1000 second, you can adjust the timing by yourself. The number usually between 50~1000.

    Select IP Address

    IP Address: Please select the correspondent IP Address

    RS-422 Multi-Controller Connect Mode (PCP832-X) : if the device works with PCP832-X , please check this item.

    ii. Parameter setting

    The parameter setting only save reader's parameter to database temporarily and has not been uploaded to readers.

    Compare Card No. Mode

    Batch Mode: 8900

    Real Time Mode: 8901

    Open Door Mode

    Read Only:3200

    Read Card with Pin :3300

    Read Card or pin:3400/3401

    Enable door monitor : the function is used for real time mode, and it will trigger off alarm output when the door is opened exceeding release time. Alarm output won't be turned off till you close the door.

    Enable comparing card no. : you should upload personal data to readers and then the card no. could be read. If you choose it, the function will be executed. Otherwise, it won't be executed.

    Enable comparing time zone : readers will follow the setting of personal data to judge whether the person enter on legal time or not. If you choose it, the function will be executed. Otherwise, it won't be executed.

    Door Release time : the door should be under open status in release time after reader reading the card. If it exceeded the release time, you should slide the card again. We make 3 seconds for initial setting.

    Door Monitoring Time: This function is to show “ door open too long “ when door opening time exceeds the time of the door opening setting.

    Enable Antipass back function:It’s available for readers placed on entry & exit door, you have to access the card to read without double reading on the same reader, if you enter the door, you have to exit with the same card , otherwise your card will not be accepted by reader .

    Enable personal mixed operation mode:This function is to set different access operation mode for each person Enable automatic change open door mode by time zone:This function doesn’t support all of model so please make sure the model you used has this function, this function is to change operation mode which only support card & card + PIN two way by time zone setting automatically. ( Please refer to time zone setting ) Enable Personel’s name shown on the LCD display (only English):6750 reader only: This function only support 6750 reader/controller and only can show 8 digit of English name on LCD display. If it’s Chinese name , please do not use this function. Enable Error Code: This function enable to record the error events. Forbidden repeat reading card within x minutes: The same card can not be read within X minutes.

    Set Time Zone: This function means you can set door access control with time zone.

    set time zone for automatic change open door mode: This function means you can set open door mode with time zone, For example, you are setting 'card only' during the working time (9:00 am ~ 5:00 pm) ,and 'card with pin code' before 9:00 am and after 5:00 pm.

    You only select time zone no., if you don't know the no., you could check it by View Time Zone setting button as above.

    The setting will be saved to database when you press OK button to confirm it.

    Note: You have to set up the time zone function.

    iii. Description of set reader buttons

    Refresh : it means re-marshal all readers.

    Set Parameter : setting up all parameters to readers.

    Inquiry parameter : inquiring parameters of readers.

    Upload time zone data : uploading time zone setting to readers.

    Adjust time: adjusting time to readers by the function.

    Upload holiday setting: uploading holiday setting to readers.

    iv. Choose Reader

    Please choose readers as above image and then press OK button to confirm your setting.

    v. Record Events

    If you want to stop during setting, you could press " interrupt " button as above image to quit the setting.

    Save : you could save the setting record to be txt file and check it by view =>events .

    Clear : clear out the present setting records forever.

    vi. Adjust Time

    As the above image, you could adjust the time according to system time in PC or by custom.

    you can choose "without seconds" or "with seconds" to setting the different version controller.

    3 Set Personal Database

    Add : adding one personal record

    Edit : following the cursor to edit the personal data.

    Delete : following the cursor to delete the personal data.

    Cancel the Personal Map: following the cursor to upload non-access setting of the person to all of readers, you can select several People with key down the 'Ctrl' button . The program will cancel the these people' s access setting.

    Upload personal access map : following the cursor to upload access setting of the person to all of readers.

    Upload access map : uploading all of personal settings to all of readers.

    Show history records : following the cursor to show all access records of the person.

    Sorting by the select sorting condition firstly, then inserting the Input Condition, the personnel data needed will come out soon.

    Enable Card No Setting by Receive Data

    After clicking this function, the card reading map will be converted into the personal card no., and the hint appears as below to prevent the faultily clicking.

    Please key in all of fields and then press OK button to confirm your setting.

    Card No. ,Password: No. non-numeral words or symbols are allowed.

    Access Group Setting: Please insert a name for the access group, otherwise the system would apply for the first setting.

    After finishing all of the data setting, just click the confirm button. Initial Date and Invalid Date are the main elements for authorizing the access, please note that if these two setting are correspondent to the need.

    4 How to upload the personal access map?

    Access Group Setting:You can set and control the authorized members, and along with the time zone setting.

    Please set up following the steps as below:

    Step 1 Select the group you want to set, and set the below time zone with door number as legal, all time pass or from the time zone 1 to 8, then click "Select Members" to select the members whom you want to set into the group. You can change the group name by click "Rename".

    Step 2 Select the needed department members, be able to select more than one, and click "OK" to the next step.

    Step 3 Complete the selected members for the group, then close the window.

    Step 4 Three people just selected appear in TG1, and now can revise the authorized time zone.

    Step 5 Check the members for upload, and click "Upload Personal Access Map".

    Step 6 Select the reader to the color green for upload, and click "OK" for start uploading.

    5 How to Add Access Group Setting

    Please click Main Menu

    Setting=>Add Access Group

    The window as below appears, just key in the Group Number wanted, then click "OK".

    6 Time Zone Setting

    Description:Please choose Access in File/Initial Setting/Controller belong.., accordingly there is time zone setting. You can set the accessed time zone for the readers.

    The default is access control mode, means that under the access control. If the time zone is under the card only mode, please choose the card only mode.

    When using the time zone setting, must be along with the setting of comparing time zone in the reader.

    A.for Personal Access Map

    As above image, you could program 8 time zone.

    After key in time zone code, please set up time zone and then select different time zone demand for seven-day week.

    If you select the time zone 7:00~10:00 for Monday ~ Friday 5 days, it means you only could enter / exit door during 7:00 ~10:00 from Monday to Friday. The Sunday, Saturday are not selected during 7:00~10:00, so you can't enter / exit door. Please refer to above image for the setting.

    B.for Open Door Mode

    Following the steps as below when Setting the Open Door Mode.

    Step 1:Setting "Read card with pin" in Open Door Mode firstly.

    Step 2: Setting the function of "Enable automatic change open door mode by time zone".

    Step 3: Upload the map of "automatic change open door mode by time zone".

    After finishing the setting as above, you can set the other mode as required.

    Following the open door mode set in the time zone; Following the default open door mode outside the time zone,

    7 How to Inquiry Personal Access Map

    Please click Main Menu

    Setting=>Inquire Door Access

    Check the personnel whom you want to inquire, then click "Inquire Door Access".

    you can click "Select All" to select all people or cancel the choose .

    Choose the reader you want to inquire.

    8 Setting Holiday

    The holiday setting is provided for non-normality holiday, for example national holiday, universal holiday and so on.

    The button of date changes to be red color when you select it, re-press it which becomes white color.

    Red color means holiday and white color means no setting.

    9 Personal operation under 1401 mode

    Remark: This function mode is available for SYSTEM 3760. If user set card only operation mode priority to set this mode.

    Select operation mode as follow:

    Card + PIN Number

    Card + PIN only

    Card only

    Select Door:Click on the doors you want. The button in the right is to select all doors.

    Select People:

    You may choose by "Order by name" or by "Order by card no."

    Click on the persons you want and the color turns to "Green". Otherwise , the column in "Red" color. After select above, please click "OK".

    10 Automatic Change the open door mode(In Software)

    This window shows the schedule of a time-setting for automatic change the open door mode.

    The system will change open door mode with "Read Only" , "Read card with pin" or "Read card or pin", when the system time is on the setting time.

    Add : add new time-setting. please select the setting time , open door mode ,

    and choose weekdays and holiday. then click the "OK" button. You will see the time-setting is on the list.

    Warning : you can't setting the same time on the list, It will make the system confuse.

    Edit : change the time-setting,

    Delete : delete one time-setting. You can click a time-setting on the

    time-setting list , and then click the Delete button . The system will delete the time-setting what you choose , and you will see the time-setting is not on the list.

    For Weeks: You can choose every weekday or some weekday for a week , and the holiday will follow the "Holiday Setting".

    11 Setting report format

    As the above image, you could select item and column you want to door access record report.

    V. Access Records

    Access records mean you download it from readers to PC, it could be inquired by " show today's records ", " show all ", " inquiry by card no. ", "inquiry by date", " combinative inquiry " 5 types as above image.

    You could mark four inquiries at the same time or just choose one inquiry as above image. At personal part, you only could mark one inquiry, for example card no.. Please confirm OK button after selecting.

    Door name: name of reader

    Door status: you could choose legal access, door control, etc, the type you want to check.

    3 Inquiry by card no. / Employee no.

    Please choose card no. or employee no. as above and then select no. you want by number reel, you could get all of access records of the card no. or employee no. after pressing OK button.

    Choose starting time and ending time to check all access records of the period.

    VI. View

    You could view events and abnormal data by this function.

    Please press "+" symbol for more information.

    1 Record events

    As the above image, please select the file you saved it under Set Reader=>View events and then it shows as the below image.

    2 View abnormal data

    You may be receiving abnormal records as the image above, or it's records with alarm information which code name is M.

    Remark : 1. Access software version v1.1.36 has to pair with TimeAttendance software

    version 15. The version of Access Software after V1.1.36 ( included ) support multinational language.

    2. Access software version v1.0x has to pair with TimeAttendance before the version 11 (included).

    3. Access software version v1.1.1~1.1.35 has to pair with TimeAttendance software version 12~14.

    4. Access software version v1.1.36 has to pair with TimeAttendance software version 15.

    APPENDIX: How to change the language of software Steps— 1. Please open file “Lang” which is insides the database “PGA.mdb” :

    2. In column “LagWord” of file “Lang”, please translate English into your language, then close

    the file after completing the translating.

    3. Running Acs.exe, the language will change into the language you keyed in during the last

    step.
