Helpful Rules of Thumb How many hors d’ oeuvres do we need to order when I am planning? Cocktail and hors d’ oeuvres party (a dinner is not being served) We recommend serving 7-9 pieces per person if your party is starting during the prime dinner hours (between 5 and 7 pm). If your party is starting after 7 pm, 6-8 pieces per person will do. Of course, you know your guests better than anyone. Cocktail and hors d’ oeuvres prior to dinner service. In this instance we recommend 4-6 pieces per person. General Information Contracts & Deposits
Payment terms for food and beverage are as follows;
A. An 8% RI sales tax will be added to the total food and beverage bill for all events.
B. An initial deposit of half of the room cost and contract signature are required to reserve your date.
C. Fifty percent (50%) of the estimated total is due ten (10) business days prior to your event.
D. Balance of final food & beverage guarantee is due no later than three (3) business days prior to your event. Any additional charges will be billed and paid at the event. Final payment may be made through the following forms; Cash, American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Bank or Company, or Clients account check or money order. A valid credit card number is requested for the day of the event.
E. Full deposit is forfeited in the event of a cancellation less than 60 days prior to your event, unless the date is rescheduled within 5 business days of cancellation.
Guarantees
It is required that your sales contact be notified by noon, six business days prior to event, of the exact number of guests to be served. This number will be considered a guarantee for which you will be charged, even if fewer guests arrive.
Alcohol Policy
Alcoholic beverages may not be brought onto or removed from the premises, and beverages can only be dispensed by Providence Piers staff and bartenders. In accordance with state and local laws, it is our policy to request proper identification (photo I.D.) and refuse alcoholic beverage service if the person is either under the age of 21 or proper (I.D) cannot be produced regardless of age. It is also our right to refuse alcoholic beverage to any person who in our judgment appears to be intoxicated.
Catering Terms
A. China, Glassware and Silverware are available for an additional charge.
B. Additional servers, bartenders and service staff will be charged at listed prices. See page 3.
C. Patrick’s Pier One and/or its affiliates are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.
D. A facilities fee (set-up charge) may apply for special room configurations.
E. Parking: There is a $10.00 per auto parking fee for non-Fabre Line Club members at all scheduled functions.
