Stop motion animation.
• Why did we choose stop motion to create our animation? ….
• As a group we discussed all three options for creating a narrative. We came to the conclusion that a Stop Motion Narrative would be best, mainly because none of us had used the programme before. We felt that using Stop Motion would enhance our digital media skills.
Inspirations and motivation
• Our main inspiration came from an artist called Guido Daneiel and his famous ‘hand animals’ – he creates art work by painting his hands. We wanted to personify hands in our animation and turn them into people.
• Here are some examples of Guido’s work –
Making our animation look professional
Turning our idea into reality and make it look professional will be challenging, however we feel using the right resources will help us achieve this. Green screen – our group have never used a green screen before, however we feel this could make our animation look more professional. We also feel learning to use this will widen our knowledge of digital media. We are planning on using the green screen to create a realistic background for our animation which we believe will help it flow. For example when our couple (hands) are walking through the park for a romantic date, trees will be seen in the background as well as falling leaves. We believe this will help the animation flow, we also feel it will add a comedic element to our project as it will be evident that these hands aren't real people and they cant really be walking through a real park.
