Big Apple Circus 10th Anniversary Gala
The Big Apple Circus Clown Unit wanted a commemorative gift
for their 10th Anniversary Fundraising Gala.
This watch was created using the images/icons from the
invitation and theme for the gala.
Mt. Sinai Medical SchoolAnnual Fund
The Mount Sinai School of Medicine – Department of
Medicine was looking for a way to recognize their Annual Fund Donors for the Resident Fund.
The item needed to be inexpensive yet also generate a sense of camaraderie and unity
among the donors and encourage additional donations.
The item chosen was a lapel pin. These pins were given out
and worn as donations were received creating a bit of peer
pressure for everyone to donate to the fund.
Queens Hatzolah Crystal Award
Recognizing Volunteers/Donors/Award Ceremony
Queens Hatzolah Volunteer Ambulance Corp wanted to thank one of their donors and encourage participation on a larger scale from a particular segment of the population that they serve. In conjunction with a Supper Fundraiser, this crystal award was presented to one of the large donors, hopefully encouraging others to give as generously.
Board Member Recognition
The Asia Society was looking for items that could be given to
their board members as well as gifts for trips made by the board
members and staff to branch offices in Asia.
One of the challenges in choosing these items was that
they did not want to have a variety so large that it could not be managed and brought along on the trips, however, all of the various cultural nuances had to be taken into consideration.
The final selection included a custom clip pen and a debossed
leather box.
Otsar Grand Slam
Otsar embarked on a large scale fundraising project in 2004 (that repeated for several years) – they hosted a Celebrity-donor Baseball Event in Keyspan Park.
To launch the event at the Annual dinner, Tom Seaver was on hand to take pictures with the major donors.
Those photos were then sent to the donors in the frames with a Thank You message. The frames and photos were chosen in the hopes that others would see the photo and want to also take part in the event.
Otsar Grand Slam
In conjunction with the Gala Dinner Launch of the Celebrity Grand Slam
there were two commemorative gifts produced, custom printed mini baseball bats and brass key tags in the shape and design of an event ticket. These items were available
for donors to have signed that night at the dinner by Tom Seaver.
Grand Slam Publicity
To add to the publicity for the
Celebrity Grand Slam Event car
magnets were printed and
given out to donors. The
magnets were also given to
those in the target audience
neighborhoods so that many
people would be familiar with
the event when tickets for
viewing went on sale.
Donor Gift Programs
When the American Foundation for the Blind sold their building on 16th Street and were moving up to midtown, they wanted to be able to recognize the donors to the Helen Keller Society in the
lobby of their new space.
To accomplish this we created this donor board with room to add donor names as the need
arose. At the same time we also created smaller room dedication plaques with both sighted and
Braille text
AFB Donor Gift Programs
The American Foundation for the Blind was looking to
increase the donations from individual donors as well as
recognize those who donated.
A donor gift program was created. Awards were created
for different levels of giving and on the most basic levels there was a rotation of gifts
beginning with a marble paperweight for those who
joined the Helen Keller Society
USGA Member Gifts
The United States Golf Association was looking for a way to incentivize
people to become members. They decided to implement a member
gift program where people who became
members at higher levels would receive either the travel alarm clock or the folding silverplate pocket
mirror.
Anniversary Celebrations
When the New York Foundling was approaching their 140th Anniversary, there were many celebrations being planned including an entire reunion
weekend and awards ceremony.
One of the items that was under consideration at that time was this
cookie jar. The cookie jar was chosen as it reflected both the home feeling that many of the former NYF children felt for the organization that had been such a large part of their childhood, as well as the fact that it was something that they could all
use in their own homes.
Haazinu and RCCSGolf Outing Gifts
One of the most common fund raisers for non-profits is the golf outing. There are many ways
for the golf outing to raise money. One is in the selling of sponsorships for the items in
the goody bags.
In addition to Haazinu and RCCS we have worked on Goody Bag
items for a diverse group of Non-profits including the League for the Hard of Hearing, YAI and
Ohel,
The Greater Allen Cathedral
The church runs a wonderful
program before Christmas called
Christmas on Merrick where they
give out bags of goodies (mostly
practical) for the needy in the
neighborhood. They needed bags
to put all of the items in and so we
used these red non-woven jumbo
tote bags with the Church logo and
a holiday message.
Conference Materials
Weill Medical College of Cornell University Department of
Neurology was going to be hosting a medical conference and needed a
way to hand out the materials as they related to the technical
education sessions.
Vinyl ring binders were created and the conference materials were
produced along with custom divider tabs. These packets were given to
each conference attendee.
Today there are many alternative options for giving out the
conference materials, however, some conference organizers still go
to the binders.
Yeshiva University Model United Nations
Yeshiva University was going to be holding a model UN program for High
School Students as part of their recruitment drive.
In conjunction with the multi-day event we created pad folders and pens for the students to receive. These were items
that they could use during the course of the event and then take home with them
hopefully reinforcing the positive impression that they had of the university thereby encouraging
applications from this select group of students.
Because these were a group of High School Students we chose a pen that did
not have the ability to click thereby keeping the room quieter
