  • POROČILO O IZBORU EVROPSKIH TOČK ZA NADARJENE V OKVIRU EVROPSKEGA CENTRA ZA NADARJENE PRI CRSN

    Komisija za izbor Evropskih točk za nadarjene pri Centru za raziskovanje in spodbujanje nadarjen- osti (CRSN) na Pedagoški fakulteti Univerze v Ljubljani je delovala v sestavi: • izr. prof. dr. Mojca Juriševič (članica) • red. prof. dr. Mojca Čepič (članica) • doc. dr. Maja Umek (članica) • izr. prof. dr. Vesna Ferk Savec (predsednica)

    Na osnovi poziva akreditiranih Evropskih centrov za nadarjene k sodelovanju, so prve zainteresirane inštitucije svoje vloge za registracijo za Evropsko točko za nadarjene oddale do 31. januarja 2016. Drugi poziv je sledil meseca 2016.

    Vloge, ki smo jih prejeli na CRSN, so bile pregledane in ovrednotene glede na razpisne kriterije, ki so bili naslednji: • Opis vizije in načrta za delo z nadarjenimi; • Izkušnje inštitucije pri delu z nadarjenimi; • Izkušnje s sodelovanjem za drugimi inštitucijami na področju dela z nadarjenimi. Komisija je v prvem roku ugotovila, da razpisnim kriterijem ustreza 28 vlog in jih predlagala v potrditev. Na osnovi predloga komisije je CRSN marca 2016 potrdil

    predlaganih 28 inštitucij, od tega 17 inštitucij iz Slovenije, 8 inštitucij iz Hrvaške, ter po 1 inštitucijo iz Srbije, Makedonije in Kosova.

    V drugem roku se je prijavilo 9 insitucij, od tega 3 iz Slovenije, 5 iz Hrvaške in 1 iz Bosne in Hercegovine in CRSN jih je novembra potrdil kot nove Talent točke.

    Vsem inštitucijam, ki so potrjene kot nove Evropske točke za nadarjene, iskreno čestitamo!

    PROMOCIJA EVROPSKIH TOČK ZA NADARJENE

    V Centru za raziskovanje in spodbujanje nadarjenosti (CRSN) na Pedagoški fakulteti Univerze v Ljubl- jani povezujemo znanja, izkušnje in ideje raziskovalcev in praktikov s področja nadarjenosti, izvajamo različne razvojno-raziskovalne, izobraževalne in svetovalne dejavnosti ter si s svojim delom prizadeva- mo za promocijo nadarjenosti v smislu spodbujanja kakovosti življenja nadarjenih ter v skladu z vizijo Strategije razvoja Slovenije.

    Pomemben del promocije skrbi za nadarjene CRSN izvaja na mednarodni ravni. V tem okviru je julija 2015 CRSN prejel pomembno evropsko akreditacijo, s katero je skupaj še s trinajstimi podobnimi ev- ropskimi centri v Avstriji, Belgiji, Italiji, Litvi, Nemčiji, Švici in Turčiji ter na Češkem, Irskem, Madžarskem, Nizozemskem in na Slovaškem postal eden od centrov European Talent Support Network – EUROPEAN TALENT CENTRE SLOVENIA.

    Akreditacija predstavlja inovativno iniciativo Evropskega odbora za visoko sposobne (ECHA), da na ev- ropski ravni v mednarodno sodelovanje poveže ljudi in ustanove, ki se na različne načine – raziskovalno, strokovno, družbeno – ukvarjajo s problematiko nadarjenih oziroma talentiranih. Koristi, ki izhajajo iz te akreditacije, so večplastne: hitrejše in učinkovitejše informiranje, tematsko povezovanje, strokovno de- lovanje in znanstveno raziskovanje ter optimizacija intelektualnih in finančnih virov znotraj posamezne države in na mednarodnem nivoju.

    Poudariti velja, da je letos opisana akreditacija potekala prvič in da se je s tem pomembnim priznanjem CRSN oziroma Pedagoška fakulteta Univerze v Ljubljani uvrstila med mednarodno prepoznane po- budnike zagovorništva nadarjenih.

    Temeljni namen mreženja v okviru European Talent Support Network je sodelovanje in spodbujanje na- darjenih državljanov Evrope v skupno dobro na različnih področjih družbenega udejstvovanja, od skrbi za duševno zdravje do umetnostnih in znanstvenih presežkov ter razvoja, in sicer med akreditiranimi centri (European Talent Centres) ter z vključevanjem novih inštitucij oziroma Točk za nadarjene (Euro- pean Talent Points) preko posameznih centrov.

    Po prvem razpisu za vključevanje novih inštitucij je CRSN marca 2016 potrdil 28 inštitucij iz Slovenije in še nekaterih držav bivše Jugoslavije za nove Točke za nadarjene. Te so:

    Center za raziskovanje in spodbujanje nadarjenosti na Pedagoški fakulteti Univerze v Ljubljani (CRSN) je bil ustanovljen leta 2010 z namenom, da bi dopolnil in razširil izobraževalno, raziskovalno in stro- kovno vizijo, ki ji sledi Pedagoška fakulteta Univerze v Ljubljani na področju spodbujanja razvoja učnih potencialov in zdravega osebnostnega razvoja otrok, mladostnikov in odraslih v okviru vzgojno-izobra- ževalnega procesa in uresničevanja koncepta vseživljenjskega učenja. Člani so visokošolski učitelji in sodelavci, ki svoje znanje prostovoljno delijo in izmenjujejo na različnih področjih svojega delovanja ter tako prispevajo k večplastnemu uresničevanju ciljev CRSN.

    V prvih petih letih delovanja je CRSN tako postal prepoznavna inštitucija na področju raziskovanja na- darjenosti in obravnave nadarjenih v domačem in mednarodnem prostoru; njegovi prispevki so vidni na naslednjih področjih:

    • raziskovalno: prispeva k razumevanju nadarjenosti in dela z nadarjenimi učenci z izvajanjem sa- mostojnih raziskav (stališča do izobraževanja nadarjenih, socialne kognicije nadarjenih, prepoz- navanje nadarjenih, poučevanje nadarjenih, odnos do ustvarjalnosti v vzgoji in izobraževanju) in v sodelovanju z mednarodnimi raziskovalnimi timi (pričakovanja in stereotipi učiteljev, koncepti tekmovalnosti); spodbuja raziskovalno dejavnost študentov v obliki diplomskih nalog na različnih stopnjah študija,

    • izobraževalno: člani CRSN, visokošolski učitelji in sodelavci, sproti vključujejo sodobna spoznanja z različnih področij obravnave nadarjenih v izvajanje študijskega procesa na fakulteti ter organizirajo izobraževalne seminarje v okviru stalnega strokovnega spopolnjevanja strokovnih delavcev v vzgoji in izobraževanju; CRSN občasno organizira predavanja mednarodno uveljavljenih strokovnjakov z različnih področij obravnave nadarjenosti za strokovno javnost in študente (Tracy Cross, Jasna Cvet- ković Lay, Kimberley Chandler, Csilla Fuszek, Norbert Jauševec, Todd Lubart, Korado Korlević, Diane Montgomery, Margaret Sutherland, idr.),

    • strokovno: ustvarja strokovno učečo se skupnost z organizacijo različnih domačih in mednarodnih stro- kovnih in znanstvenih srečanj (med njimi imata vidnejše mesto mednarodna ECHA konferenca leta 2014 in 1. mednarodna strokovna konferenca CRSN leta 2015), ki se jih je udeležilo več kot 1500 učitel- jev in drugih strokovnih delancev na področju vzgoje in izobraževanja ter širše, ter z izdajanjem strokov- nih publikacij v sodelovanju u Založbo PeF UL (originalna dela in prevodi, tematske številke revij),

    • politično: CRSN se aktivno vključuje v razvijanje vzgojno-izobraževalnih politik na področju nadar- jenih (Bela knjiga na področju vzgoje in izobraževanja 2011; sodelovanje v Medresorski skupini za pripravo nacionalne strategije za nadarjene, sodelovanje v mednarodnih organizacijah, npr. World Council for Gifted and Talented children, European Council for High Ability in iniciativah, npr. Writ- ten declaration on the support of talents in the European Union, 2013).

    EUROPEAN TALENT SUPPORT NETWORK PROMOTION

    The Centre for Research and Promotion of Giftedness (hereinafter: CRSN) at the Faculty of Education, University of Ljubljana, integrates knowledge, experience and ideas of researchers and practitioners in the field of giftedness, pursues a variety of research and development, training and consultancy activi- ties, thus striving for the promotion of giftedness by fostering the quality life of the gifted and talented in accordance with the vision of the Slovenia’s Development Strategy.

    An important part of promotion activities in terms of care for the gifted and talented is being imple- mented internationally by CRSN. In this context, in July 2015 CRSN received an important European accreditation, thus joining thirteen similar European centres in Austria, Belgium, Italy, Lithuania, Ger- many, Switzerland, Turkey and the Czech Republic, Ireland, Hungary, the Netherlands and Slovakia in becoming one of the centres of the European Talent Support Network – EUROPEAN TALENT CENTRE SLOVENIA.

    The mentioned accreditation is an innovative initiative of the European Council for High Ability (ECHA) for the international cooperation at the European level of the people and institutions that address the issues of giftedness and talent in various ways, e.g. through research, professionally and socially. The benefits arising from this accreditation are manifold: Rapid and effective information provision, thematic integration, professional operation, conducting scientific research, and optimization of intel- lectual and financial resources within each country and internationally.

    It should be noted that the accreditation process was applied for the first time this year, and that the accreditation award ranked CRSN and the Faculty of Education, University of Ljubljana, among the internationally identified promoters of gifted advocacy.

    The basic purpose of networking within the European Talent Support Network is cooperation and pro- motion of talented European citizens for the common good in various areas of social engagement, from mental health care to artistic and scientific outstanding achievements and development, among the ac- credited centres (European Talent Centres) and by the involvement of new institutions or the European Talent Points through individual centres.

    After the first call for inclusion of new institutions in March 2016 CRSN approved 28 institutions from Slovenia and from some other ex-Yugoslav countries as new Talent Points. These are as follows:

    The Centre for Research and Promotion of Giftedness at the Faculty of Education, University of Ljublja- na (CRSN) was established in 2010 with a view to complement and extend the educational, research and professional vision, followed by the Faculty of Education, University of Ljubljana, of promoting the learning potential and healthy personality development of children, adolescents and adults within the educational process, and, of implementing the concept of lifelong learning. CRSN is composed of the academic staff members who volunteer to share and exchange their knowledge in various areas of their activities, thus contributing to achieving the multi-layered objectives of CRSN.

    In the first five years of its operation, CRSN became a recognized institution in the field of talent re- search and treatment in the domestic and international arena; its contributions can be seen in the following domains:

    • Research: CRSN contributes to the understanding of giftedness and work with gifted students by conducting independent studies (attitudes towards the education of the gifted, social cognitions of the gifted, identifying talent, the gifted education, and the attitude towards creativity in education) and in cooperation with international research teams (expectations and stereotypes of teachers, competition concepts); it promotes research activities of students in the form of diploma theses at various study levels.

    • Education: Academic staff members of CRSN regularly integrate modern knowledge from different fields of talent treatment in the teaching process at the Faculty, and organize training seminars in the scope of continuous professional training of education professionals; CRSN occasionally or-

    ganizes lectures of internationally renowned experts from various fields of talent treatment for the professional public and students (Tracy Cross, Jasna Cvetković Lay, Kimberley Chandler, Csilla Fuszek, Norbert Jauševec, Todd Lubart, Korado Korlević Diane Montgomery, Margaret Sutherland, et al.).

    • Profession: CRSN creates a learning community through the organization of various national and international professional and scientific meetings (the most prominent events were the ECHA In- ternational Conference in 2014 and the first International Scientific Conference of CRSN in 2015), which were attended by more than 1,500 teachers, education professionals and others, and by issuing of the professional publications in cooperation with the Faculty of Education Publishing House of the University of Ljubljana (original works and translations, thematic issues of the jour- nals).

    • Political: CRSN is actively involved in developing educational policies in the field of talent (White Paper on Education in the Republic of Slovenia in 2011; it participates in the intersectoral group for drawing up the National Strategy in Gifted Education, in international organizations, e.g. World Council for Gifted and Talented Children, the European Council for High Ability, and in initiatives, e.g. Written declaration on talent support in the European Union, 2013).

    POVZETEK

    Projekt ATOMI se je začel na Kosovu leta 2011 in se je do sedaj osredotočal na vse učence osnovnih šol in dijake srednjih šol od 8. – 12. razreda, v prihodnjih letih bo zajel vse pred-univerzitetne stopnje.

    Projekt ATOMI je bil prvi projekt, katerega cilj je bil prepoznavanje nadarjenih mladih in nudenje različnih za te učence in s temi učenci. V preteklosti nadarjenih učencev in dijakov na Kosovu njihova neposredna okolica (družina, šola, skupnost, itd) ni cenila zaradi njihovega intelektualnega potenciala, ko pa jim je bila nadarjenost priznana v okviru projekta ATOMI, je večina poročala o pozitivni spremembi odnosa do njih (družina, učitelji, skupnost, itd.). Družbeno okolje je začelo dojemati te učence in dijake kot družbeni potencial. Poleg tega so bile dejavnosti projekta ATOMI objavljene v medijih; lahko rečemo, da se je odnos javnosti do te družbene skupine bistveno izboljšal, prav tako pa narašča splošno ozaveščanje o pomenu te družbene kategorije.

    Sprva je projekt ATOMI potekal pod okriljem centra ENCOMPASS – Center za psihološke in družbene študije in storitve; leta 2016 je ATOMI zapustil center ENCOMPASS in se preoblikoval v neodvisno institucijo, v zavod ATOMI (Mednarodni inštitut za izjemno inteligenco), ki ima status nevladne organizacije. Zavod ATOMI namerava tudi ustanoviti neprofitno visoko šolo za nadarjene študente.

    Cilji organizacije so promocija in spodbujanje uma, razuma, nadarjenosti, ustvarjalnosti in inovativnosti na vseh področjih, prepoznavanje in podpora posameznikom z izjemno inteligenco in nadarjenim ljudem v vseh možnih oblikah in načinih, spodbujanje psiholoških ocen, ter storitve in objave v skladu z najvišjimi znanstvenimi, stro- kovnimi in etičnimi merili.

    Za »atomike« ponuja ATOMI obsežen nabor storitev, na primer: psihološko svetovanje za učence / dijake in njiho- ve starše, karierno svetovanje, individualno mentorstvo področnih strokovnjakov, srečanja z znanimi in uspešnimi osebami, dostop do moderne literature, dvotedenski izobraževalno – rekreacijski poletni tabor, obogatitveni pro- gram, ki traja 30 sobot (šola +) z nadaljevalnimi tečaji, posredovanje za šolsko napredovanje, različne študijske obiske, znanstveno in laboratorijsko delo, posredovanje za študij in štipendije, itd.

    ABSTRACT

    ATOMI Project started in Kosovo in 2011, and has so far targeted all the primary and high school students from 8 – 12th grade of Kosovo, and in the coming years it will cover all pre-university grades in Kosovo.

    ATOMI project was the first project aiming at the identification of the gifted youth and the provision of various activities for/with these students. In the past the gifted students of Kosovo were not acknowledged for their intel- lectual potential by their immediate environment (family, school, community, etc.), whereas after being identifies as gifted students by the ATOMI project, most of them reported of the positive change of the attitude towards them (family, teachers, community, etc.). They all started to view these students as having the potential for the society. Also, the ATOMI project activities were published in the media; thus, it can be stated that the attitude of the general public towards this social category has significantly improved, and the public awareness about the importance of this social category is rising.

    At first the ATOMI project was conducted within the ENCOMPASS Centre – Centre for Psychological and Social Studies and Services; in 2016 ATOMI left the ENCOMPASS Centre and transformed into an independent institu- tion, i.e. the ATOMI Institute (International Institute for Extraordinary Intelligence), which holds an NGO status. The ATOMI Institute is also going to establish a non-profitable high school for gifted students.

    The organization’s aims are promotion and stimulation of the mind, intellect, giftedness, talent, creativity and innovation in all fields, identifying and supporting individuals with extraordinary intelligence, gifted and talented people in all available forms and ways, and promotion of psychological assessments, services and publications in compliance with the highest scientific, professional and ethic criteria.

    For the atomists, ATOMI offers a wide range of services, e.g.: psychological counselling for the pupils/students and their parents, career counselling, individual mentoring by field professionals, meetings with famous and suc- cessful persons, access to advanced literature, a 2-week educative and recreational summer camp, a 30-Saturday enrichment programme (School+) with advanced courses, mediating for school advancement/promotion, various study visits, scientific and laboratory work, mediating for studies and scholarships, etc.

    Center za nadarjene otroke je organizacija, ki se osredotoča predvsem na podporo nadarjenosti: raziskave, pre- poznava, razvoj visoko sposobnih mladih (in / ali starejših) oseb (npr. šole, univerzitetni oddelki, centri za nadarjene, centri odličnosti, umetnostne ali športne organizacije s poudarkom na razvoju talentov, nevladne organizacije, itd).

    Osnovno poslanstvo Združenja je: ozaveščati in izobraževati skupnost o njenih nadarjenih posameznikih in o nji- hovih potrebah s pomočjo različnih dejavnosti (obveščanje, usposabljanje, razprave, organizacija delavnic, okroglih miz, simpozijev, srečanj, itd.) z namenom ozaveščanja o pomembni vlogi nadarjenih posameznikov v vsaki družbi. Akcijski načrt Centra vključuje: prepoznavo, razvoj talentov (delavnice, predavanja, obiski posebnih institucij), zadovoljevanje socialno-čustvenih potreb (podporne skupine), izobraževanje, mreženje izobraževalnega osebja, svetovanje in nudenje podpornih skupin staršem, sodelovanje z lokalnimi izobraževalnimi organi, organizacijo predavanj, delavnic in drugih oblik dejavnosti, ozaveščanje skupnosti, ter nenazandje promocijo Združenja.

    Center za nadarjene otroke že sodeluje s Pedagoško fakulteto na Reki, s Filozofsko fakulteto na Reki, z Medi- cinsko fakulteto, z Združenjem staršev nadarjenih otrok »Lodur«, z otroško knjižnico »Stribor«, z muzeji (Zgo- dovinski in pomorski muzej, Naravno-zgodovinski muzej), s Centrom za raziskovanje in spodbujanje nadarjenosti na Pedagoški fakulteti v Ljubljani (Slovenija), ter z vrtci in osnovnimi šolami. Center je tudi že začel strokovno sodelovati z ostalimi potencialnimi Evropskimi točkami za nadarjene, kot so Univerza Josip Juraj Strossmayer v Osijeku, Pedagoška fakulteta (dr. Željko Rački, psiholog, specialist Evropskega sveta za visoko sposobne /ECHA/ za izobraževanje nadarjenih) in Center nevladnih organizacij za razvoj nadarjenih otrok »Bistrić« Zagreb (Jasna Cvetković-Lay, psihologinja, specialistka Evropskega sveta za visoko sposobne /ECHA/, koordinatorica projekta in programa), ter Znanstveno-izobraževalni center Višnjan (prof Korado Korlević).

    Center za nadarjene otroke organizira in sodeluje pri različnih dogodkih: KLIK (Klub/tabor za ustvarjalnost, logiko, raziskave),Dan nadarjenih (ki ga praznujemo 21. marca), svetovanje staršem enkrat mesečno z namenom zagotovitve strokovne in svetovalne podpore staršem potencialno nadarjenih otrok, znanstvene in strokovne raziskave, ki jih izva- jajo člani Centra, sodelovanje z Združenjem staršev potencialno nadarjenih otrok pri organizaciji različnih dogodkov, itd.

    ABSTRACT

    Centre for Gifted Children is an organisation focusing mainly on talent support: research, identification, develop- ment of highly able young (and/or older) people (e. g: schools, university departments, talent centres, excellence centres, art, or sport organizations focusing on talent development, NGOs, etc.).

    The basic mission of the Association is to: raise awareness and educate the community about its talented individu- als and their needs through various activities (information provision, training, debates, organizing workshops, round tables and panel discussions, symposiums, meetings, etc.) with a view to raise awareness of the important role of talented individuals in every society. The Centre’s action plan includes: identification, development of talents (workshops, lectures, visits to special institutions), meeting social-emotional needs (support groups), education and networking for educational staff, counselling and support groups for parents, cooperation with LEA, joint organiza- tion of lectures, workshops and other forms of activities, sensitization of the community, Association promotion.

    Centre for Gifted Children has been collaborating with the Faculty of Teacher Education of Rijeka, the Faculty of Philosophy of Rijeka, the Faculty of Medicine, the Association of Parents of Gifted Children »Lodur«, with the children’s library »Stribor«, museums (Historical and Maritime Museum, Natural History Museum), the Centre for Research and Promotion of Giftedness at the Faculty of Education in Ljubljana (Slovenia), and with kindergartens and primary schools, so far. We have already established professional collaboration with other potential EU Talent Points such as the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, the Faculty of Education (Dr. Željko Rački, psycholo- gist, ECHA Specialist in Gifted Education), and the NGO Centre for Gifted Child Development »Bistrić« Zagreb (Jasna Cvetković-Lay, psychologist, ECHA specialist; project& programme coordinator), as well with Science and Education Centre Višnjan (Prof. Korado Korlevic).

    Centre for Gifted Children organizes and participates in various events: CLICK (Creative-Logic-Research Club / Camp), Day of the Gifted, which is celebrated on 21 March, Parental counselling, which is organized once a month, with a view to provide professional and advisory support to parents of potentially gifted children, Re- search – members of the Centre conduct scientific and expert research, Cooperation with the Association of Parents of Potentially Gifted Children in organizing various events, etc.

    Center za razvoj nadarjenih otrok »Bistrić« je bil ustanovljen leta 1995 kot nevladna organizacija, ki deluje na področju posebnih izobraževalnih potreb. Njegov namen je načrtovanje in reševanje učnih izzivov, kar zadeva obogatitve, neodvisne projekte ter spodbujanje razlikovalnih interesov glede na raven fizičnega in kognitivnega razvoja nadarjenega otroka.

    Center organizira uporabne dejavnosti in projekte ob podpori nacionalnih in lokalnih izobraževalnih institucij ter spodbuja mednarodno sodelovanje z Evropskimi centri za nadarjene.

    Naš glavni cilj je ozaveščanje o pomenu zgodnjega izobraževanja nadarjenih in zagotavljanje le-tega. Na področju izobraževanja nadarjenih si prizadevamo za zgodnjo prepoznavo in nudenje izobraževanja s pomočjo obogatitve, izobraževanja, usposabljanja in sodelovanja. Naše dejavnosti so usmerjene v strokovno izpopolnjevanje in izobraževanje učiteljev ob delu, v igralne skupine in delavnice za nadarjene otroke, v delavnice in individualno svetovanje za starše, v podporo nadarjenim otrokom iz socialno ogroženih družin, v sodelovanje z nacionalnimi izobraževalnimi institucijami pri različnih projektih in v uporabne raziskave.

    V letu 2009 je bil Center kot eden ključnih institucionalnih virov na področju zgodnjega razvoja in izobraževanja otrok na Hrvaškem povabljen k vključitvi v Imenik človeških, institucionalnih in tehničnih virov v državah Sred- nje in Vzhodne Evrope in nekdanje Sovjetske Zveze (UNICEF-projekt ISSA). Poleg tega je leta 2003 Združenje hrvaških psihologov podelilo Jasni Cvetković-Lay, koordinatorki projekta in programa Centra LETNO NAGRADO S PODROČJA PSIHOLOGIJE Marko Marulić za njen izjemno dragocen prispevek k uporabni psihologiji.

    Na Hrvaškem smo že vzpostavili mrežo vrtcev, ki uporabljajo programe za zgodnje izobraževanje nadarjenih, ter strokovno sodelovanje z ostalimi potencialnimi Evropskimi točkami za nadarjene; morda smo na ta način položili temelj za bodočo mrežo v naši državi v okviru Evropske mreže za podporo nadarjenih. Našemu Centru nudijo Agencije za spodbujanje regionalnega razvoja strokovno podporo in svetovanje pri pripravi in izvajanju projektov za nadarjene, ki se lahko financirajo iz EU. Člani Centra aktivno sodelujejo na svojem področju, Koordinatorica programa in projekta nevladne organizacije, gospa J.C.Lay, sodeluje pri pripravi novega hrvaškega dokumenta izobraževalne politike za nadarjene; ostali člani naše nevladne organizacije pa posedujejo specifično znanje na strokovnem področju.     ABSTRACT

    Centre for Gifted Child Development »Bistric« was established in 1995 as an NGO which operates in the field of special educational needs. Its aim is to plan and address the teaching challenges in terms of enrichment, in- dependent projects, and promotion of distinctive interests according to the level of psychological and cognitive development of the gifted child.

    The Centre has been organizing applicative activities and projects supported by national & local educational insti- tutions, and promoting international cooperation with EU Talent Centres.

    Our prime mission is to raise awareness of the importance of early gifted education and provision. In the field of gifted education we work towards early identification and provision through enrichment, education, trainings, and collaboration.

    Our activities are aimed at in–service teacher training and teacher education, playgroups and workshops for gifted children, workshops and individual counselling for parents, supporting gifted children from socially de- prived families, co-operation with national educational institutions on various projects, and at applied research.

    In 2009 the Centre was invited, as one of the key institutional resources in the field of early child development and education in Croatia, to be included in the Directory of Human, Institutional and Technical Recourses in the countries of Middle and East Europe and former Soviet Union (UNICEF & ISSA project). Furthermore, in 2003 Jasna Cvetković-Lay project& programme coordinator of the Centre was awarded the ANNUAL PSYCHOLOGICAL AWARD Marko Marulić for her remarkably valuable contribution to applied psychology by the Croatian Psycho- logical Association.

    We have already established a network of kindergartens in Croatia that have been applying programmes for early gifted education, as well as professional collaboration with other potential EU Talent Points in Croatia; thus, the foundation for the future network in our country as part of the European Talent Support Network may have been laid. Our Centre obtains the professional support and counselling in preparing and implementing projects for the gifted that can be funded by the EU by the Agencies for Promoting Regional Development. This can also be the way of establishing more complex and diverse collaboration with other EU Talent Points. The programme& proj- ect coordinator of the NGO, Ms. J.C.Lay, is involved in drawing up a new Croatian educational policy document for the gifted education. Other members of our NGO also have specific knowledge in the professional area to share.

    POVZETEK

    Vrtec »Cvit Mediterana« je organizacija, ki se osredotoča predvsem na podporo nadarjenosti: opredelitev in raz- voj visoko sposobne mlade populacije.

    V zadnjih 18 letih si je vrtec »Cvit Mediterana« nenehno prizadeval za spodbujanje razvoja potencialno nadarjen- ih in sposobnih otrok, kar je ena od pomembnih izobraževalnih nalog v programu te javne ustanove za predšolsko vzgojo.

    Naše poslanstvo zajema: zgodnje odkrivanje in spodbujanje razvoja nadarjenih in sposobnih predšolskih otrok v okviru tega javnega zavoda za zgodnje poučevanje; širitev znanja učiteljev o nadarjenosti; ozaveščanje učiteljev o posebnih izobraževalnih potrebah nadarjenih in sposobnih otrok; oblikovanje raznovrstnih programov; pro- jektno delo in izvajanje kompleksnih dejavnosti; oblikovanje pozitivnega odnosa širše skupnosti do izobraževalne potrebe po zagotovitvi posebne pozornosti nadarjenim in sposobnim otrokom; ustanovitev razvojnega centra, ki bo zagotavljal raznovrstno izobraževalno podporo učiteljem, članom strokovnih skupin in študentom pri ob- ravnavanju nadarjenosti (seminarji, delavnice, predavanja, nastopi v razredu, skupinska refleksija); oblikovanje in izvajanje strategij za posebne in nadaljevalne programe, sledenje nadarjenim in sposobnim otrokom in beleženje njihovega izobraževanja.

    Intenzivno sodelujemo s starši nadarjenih otrok, z namenom, da spodbudimo njihovo dovzetnost za prepozna- vanje potreb njihovih otrok in da zagotavljamo kakovostno stimulacijo za razvoj teh otrok z individualnim in sku- pinskim svetovanjem, s predavanji, delavnicami, z napotitvami k strokovnjakom, z literaturo ... V zavodu smo uvedli različne programe, ki se jih otroci lahko udeležijo za namen spodbujanja talentov (npr: program za angleški jezik, glasbeni program, umetniški program in športni program).

    Projekt je bil razširjen s prenosom znanja in izkušenj znotraj institucije in izven nje. V sodelovanju z Ministrstvom za šolstvo in šport smo organizirali številne izobraževalne seminarje za učitelje in izobraževalne strokovnjake v vrtcih po vsej Sloveniji. Izobraževanja izvajamo z namenom spoznavanja in obvladanja še boljših strategij podpore celostnega razvoja nadarjenih in sposobnih otrok.

    Z našim delom pozitivno vplivamo na širšo skupnost, kar zadeva potrebo po posebni skrbi za nadarjene in sposob- ne otroke. Naš namen je spodbujati druge javne ustanove za predšolsko vzgojo, da delajo več in na boljši način z nadarjenimi otroki, kar je tudi stalna naloga našega zavoda.

    ABSTRACT

    Kindergarten »Mediterranean Flower« is an organization focusing mainly on talent support: the identification and development of highly able young population.

    In the past 18 years the Kindergarten »Mediterranean Flower« was continuously working on encouraging the development of potentially gifted and talented children, which is one of the significant educational tasks in the programme of this public preschool institution.

    Our mission is as follows: early identification and fostering the development of gifted and talented preschool chil- dren within the public institution of early childhood and preschool education; expansion of teacher’s knowledge about giftedness; sensitizing teachers about specific educational needs of gifted and talented children; creating differentiated programmes; working on projects and conducting sophisticated activities; forming positive atti- tudes of the wider community towards the educational need for special care of gifted and talented children; set- ting up a developmental centre that would provide various kinds of educational support for teachers, members of expert teams and students at addressing giftedness (seminars, workshops, lectures, demonstration classes, joint reflections); designing and implementing strategies of special and advanced programmes, tracking gifted and talented children and keeping records during their education.

    We cooperate intensively with parents of the gifted children with the goal to sensitize them about recognizing the needs of their children and provide quality stimulation for their development through individual and group counselling, lectures, workshops, referral to experts, literature… Within the institution we have initiated different programmes that children can undertake to cultivate their talents (e.g: the English programme, the music pro- gramme, the art programme and the sports programme).

    The project has been extended through the transfer of knowledge and experience within the institution and be- yond. In cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Sport we have organized many educational seminars for

    We have undertaken the education with a goal to learn and master even better strategies of supporting the ho- listic development of gifted and talented children.

    Through our work we have been positively influencing the wider community as regards the need for special care of gifted and talented children. Our intention is to encourage other public preschool institutions to work more and in a better way with gifted and talented children, which is the permanent goal of our institution, as well.

    POVZETEK

    Društvo za opazovanje in proučevanje ptic Slovenije (DOPPS) (Slovenija) je neprofitna, nevladna organizacija, ustanovljena leta 1979. Delamo v javnem interesu in se ukvarjamo z ohranjanjem narave, varstvom okolja in raziskavami. Naših dejavnosti se udeležuje nad 1000 članov in prostovoljcev. DOPPS zaposluje 23 strokovnjakov. Ukvarjamo se z varovanjem ptic in njihovih habitatov, kar prispeva k ohranjanju narave in dobrobiti širše skup- nosti. Ob podpori vladnih in nevladnih organizacij si prizadevamo za uresničitev našega poslanstva z znanstvenimi raziskavami, z delovanjem na področju ohranjanja narave, z izobraževanjem in z novinarskim delom.

    Delamo z nadarjenimi in nadarjenimi in sposobnimi osnovnošolci in srednješolci, še posebej na področju orni- tologije in ohranjanju narave. Naša strategija je ponuditi visoko zahtevne praktične priložnosti za razvoj znanja in spretnosti mladih talentov. Mlade talente tako vključujemo v nabor zahtevnih nalog, kot so nadzor na terenu, analiza podatkov, načrtovanje, odnosi z javnostjo, delo s prostovoljci, pisanje, razvoj novih komunikacijskih tehnologij, itd. Izbrani mentorji so predani strokovnjaki, ki prostovoljno nudijo nadarjenih učencem / dijakom svoje izkušnje med samim delom. Poseben poudarek je na razvoju družbene in javne odgovornosti nadarjenih ljudi, ki bi morali uporabiti znanje za kritičen odziv v javnosti v primeru napačnih praks. Poleg neposrednega men- torstva vsako leto organiziramo posebne raziskovalne tabore in druge dogodke.

    Med naše dejavnosti, povezane z nadarjenostjo, sodijo na splošno raziskovalni tabori za mlade ornitologe, v kat- erih nadarjeni otroci predvsem razvijajo metodološke raziskovalne sposobnosti in pisno izražanje ter vzpostavljajo medsebojne stike, nacionalna tekmovanja za mlade ornitologe iz Slovenije, ornitološka šola, vodenje in men- torstvo mladih ornitologov pri pripravah raziskovalnih del, izdaja znanstvene ornitološke revije Acrocephalus s posebno rubriko »ornitološki zapisi«, v kateri sistematično spodbujamo mlade nadarjene učence-raziskovalce k pisanju člankov.

    Do sedaj je bilo naše sodelovanje na področju nadarjenosti v splošnem omejeno na delovanje na nacionalni ravni, v nekaterih letih pa so naši raziskovalni tabori izkazovali tudi mednarodno udeležbo. V prihodnje bi želeli okrepiti sodelovanje s podobnimi organizacijami, s splošnim ciljem izboljšanja in učinkovitejšega dela z nadar- jenimi učenci.

    ABSTRACT

    DOPPS-Birdlife Slovenia is a non-profit, non-government organisation established in 1979. We work in the public interest and address nature conservation, environmental protection and research. Our activities attract the par- ticipation of over 1000 members and volunteers. DOPPS employs 23 professionals. We indulge in the protection of birds and their habitats, thus contributing to nature conservation and the welfare of the wider community. Aided by government and non-government organisations we strive to realize our mission through the conduct of scientific research, addressing nature conservation, education and journalistic work.

    We work with talented and gifted primary school pupils and secondary school students, especially in the field of ornithology and nature conservation. Our strategy is to offer high-level demanding real hands-on opportunities where both, knowledge and skills, of young talents can be developed. Therefore, we include young talents into a spectre of challenging tasks, like field monitoring, data analysis, project planning, PR, working with volunteers, writing, developing new communication techniques, etc. The selected mentors are dedicated experts who vol- untarily offer their experience during work to talented pupils/students. Our special focus is to develop social and public responsibility of talented people in a sense that they should use knowledge to critically respond in public when incorrect practices are recognized. Besides direct mentorship, special research camps and other events are organized annually.

    Our talent-related activities, in general, are represented by research camps for young ornithologists, where tal- ented children mainly develop methodological research skills, writing skills and establish contacts among them- selves; national competitions for young ornithologists from Slovenia; Ornithological school; Guiding and mentor- ing young ornithologists in preparation of their research works; scientific ornithological journal Acrocephalus with a special rubric »Ornithological notes« where we systematically stimulate young talented pupils-researchers to write their own articles.

    So far our cooperation in talent-related field was generally nationally limited. However, in some years we hosted international participants at our research camps.

    In future we would like to strengthen our cooperation with similar organisations, with the general aim to improve and more effectively work with talented pupils. We are ready to share all our knowledge and experience, plans, data, etc., and would like to cooperate in common networking programmes.

    In one of our 3 nature reserves we can offer full research capacities (dormitory, lab, bird monitoring equipment, etc.) for a smaller group of talented pupils. The area is ideal to transfer theoretical knowledge into practical nature-conservation management. Our mentors are recognized experts in nature-conservation management and we can offer this knowledge to the network, as well. In the field of biodiversity and specifically ornithology we know how to guide talented pupils to focusing on their interests, developing cutting edge skills and using them for the society.

    POVZETEK

    E-Hiša, novogoriška hiša poskusov, ki deluje pod okriljem Mladinskega centra Nova Gorica, je izobraževalno središče, ki z namenom izkustvenega učenja organizira delavnice za otroke, mlade in odrasle v obliki interaktivnih poskusov, s katerimi spodbujamo vedoželjnost, željo po učenju ter kritično razmišljanje. Vse naše dejavnosti, kot so ogled poskusov v e-Hiši, eksperimentalnice, delavnice za razvoj ustvarjalnosti in inovativnosti, tečaji ro- botike WeDo in Mindstorms, priprave in udeležba na tekmovanjiu First Lego League, na Dnevih tehnike, Festi- valu znanosti, rojstnodneve zabave v znamenju znanosti in tehnike, Tehniški in naravoslovni dnevi, omogočajo udeležencem, da se skozi zabavno izkustveno učenje učijo reševati probleme, obvladovati kompleksnost proble- mov in iskati inovativne rešitve. Stopnjo zahtevnosti pridobljenega znanja prilagajamo predznanju in izraženemu interesu ciljne skupine. O veliki prepoznavnosti e-Hiše, novogoriške hiše poskusov, priča razširjenost delovanja v številnih krajih po Sloveniji.

    Dejavnosti, ki jih e-Hiša ponuja nadarjenim posameznikom, predstavljajo enega od stebrov delovanja našega cen- tra. O prepoznavnosti in uspešnosti priča podatek, da se programov e-Hiše letno udeleži skupaj 7600 udeležencev, skupaj s programi Mladinskega centra Nova gorica pa dosegamo 25300 posameznikov.

    Kot Evropska točka za nadarjene e-Hiša sodeluje pri prepoznavi nadarjenih posameznikov, ponuja širok nabor de- javnosti za nadarjene, spodbuja k udejstvovanju na tekmovanjih, natečajih in projektih s področja naravoslovja in tehnike, razvija in izvaja kurikul namenjen ciljni skupini nadarjenih, izvaja samostojne analize potreb in preučuje druge raziskave s področja nadarjenih, spodbuja karierno načrtovanje udeležencev v smeri študija naravoslovja in tehnike ter z obveščanjem in promocijo skrbi za informiranje o možnostih mladinskih in študijskih izmenjav s tega področja.

    Kot Evropska točka za nadarjene si želimo sodelovanja v skupnih programih, projektih, študijskih izmenjavah dobrih praks, informacij ter organizacijo in udeležbo na dogodkih, ki so posebej namenjeni nadarjenim otrokom in/ali pred- stavnikom, strokovnjakom in/ali nadarjenim mladim in starejšim iz drugih Evropskih točk in centrov za nadarjene.

    ABSTRACT

    E-House, a house of experiments from Nova Gorica, which operates under the auspices of the Youth Centre Nova Gorica, is an educational centre that promotes learning through experience, and to this end develops workshops for children, young people and adults, in the form of interactive experiments that encourage curiosity, the quest for learning, and critical thinking. All our activities, e.g. observing experiments in the e-House, experimental workshops, workshops for the development of creativity and innovation WEDO and Mindstorms robotic courses, preparation for and participation in the competition First Lego League, in the Days of Technical Science, in the Festival of Science, birthday parties devoted to science and technology, Engineering and Science Days provide the opportunity for the participants to learn to solve problems, cope with the complexity of the problems and seek innovative solutions through entertaining experiential learning. The level of complexity of the knowledge acquired is adapted to the existing knowledge and the expressed interest of the target group. A widespread operation in a number of towns in Slovenia attests to the increased recognition of the e-House of Nova Gorica.

    The activities offered by the e-House to gifted individuals form one of the pillars of the functioning of our centre, the recognition and effectiveness of which are demonstrated by the fact that the e-House programmes are annu- ally attended by 7600 participants in total, whereas together with the programmes of the Youth Centre in Nova Gorica 25300 individuals are reached.

    As a European Talent Point the e-House participates in the identification of gifted individuals, offers an extensive range of activities for the talented, encourages involvement in competitions, contests and projects in the field of science and technology, develops and implements the curriculum for the target group of the gifted, carries out independent analyses of the needs, and examines other research in the field of the gifted, encourages career development of the participants, gearing towards the study of science and technology, and through information and promotion informs on the possibilities of youth and student exchanges in the field.

    As a European Talent Point, we would like to participate in joint programmes, projects, student exchanges of good practices, exchanging information, and in the organization and participation in the events that are specifically de- signed for the gifted children and / or representatives, experts and / or the gifted youth and the elderly of other European Talent Points and Centres.

    POVZETEK

    Pedagoška fakulteta Univerze Josip Juraj Strossmayer v Osijeku je visokošolski zavod, ki se osredotoča na splošno predšolsko in osnovnošolsko izobraževanje, ter na raziskave s področja nadarjenosti in izobraževanja nadarjenih, na prepoznavo in razvoj tovrstnih učencev in študentov.

    Pedagoška fakulteta strokovno sodeluje z državno Agencijo za usposabljanje učiteljev in z drugimi potencialnimi Evropskimi točkami za nadarjene, kot so nevladna organizacija Bistrić v Zagrebu, nevladna organizacija Center za nadarjene na Reki, ter s Centrom za znanost in izobraževanje Višnjan. S sodelovanjem osebja Fakultete pri delu Šole ustvarjalnosti v Novigradu in ZECV prispeva Fakulteta k teoretičnemu napredku, k praktičnemu izvajanju in k izobraževanju na področju nadarjenosti.

    Poslanstvo Pedagoške fakultete je nenehno prispevati k družbi z izboljšanjem znanja o izobraževanju s pedagoškimi raziskavami in zagotavljanjem odličnosti izobraževanja študentov, učiteljev praktikov, ravnateljev in drugih delavcev v vzgoji in izobraževanju. Pedagoška fakulteta nenehno načrtuje in objavlja raziskave o izobraževanju nadarjenih, razvija učni načrt za nadarjene ter zagotavlja usposabljanje o izobraževanju nadarjenih zaposlenim učiteljem (na lokalni, nacionalni in mednarodni ravni). Poleg raziskav nudi Pedagoška fakulteta stalno podpo- ro osnovnošolcem, ki jih zanima matematika, preko obogatitvenih interesnih dejavnosti v obliki tedenskih ur matematike v organizaciji osebja Fakultete in študentov Univerze za pedagoške študije.

    Pedagoška fakulteta namerava ustanoviti Center za raziskave nadarjenosti in podporo pri izobraževanju z na- menom, da se oblikuje posebej usmerjeno, izobraževalno središče o nadarjenosti in izobraževanju nadarjenih, ki bo stalno na voljo učencem in delavcem v vzgoji in izobraževanju na Hrvaškem, in ki se bo nenehno razvijalo. Vloga Centra bo izobraževanje, izdajanje publikacij o nadarjenosti in izobraževanju nadarjenih, in zagotavljanje stalne učne podpore preko dejavnosti za prepoznavo nadarjenosti, kot tudi nudenje raznovrstnih oblik pomoči, vključno s kompleksnimi programi, obogatitvami, tekmovanji in kariernim načrtovanjem, ter z uveljavljenimi ra- ziskavami, izobraževanjem, usposabljanjem in razvojem učnega načrta za nadarjene učence in njihove učitelje.

    Pedagoška fakulteta je vključena v interdisciplinarne raziskave in v splošno predšolsko in osnovnošolsko izobraževanje, in se ne osredotoča izključno ali selektivno zgolj na izobraževanje nadarjenih, temveč tudi na de- javnosti, povezane s podporo nadarjenim. V primerjavi z vsemi dejavnostmi Pedagoške fakultete je to ena izmed njenih najpomembnejših razvojnih vej. Z ustanovitvijo načrtovanega Centra za raziskave nadarjenosti in pod- poro pri izobraževanju na Pedagoški fakulteti se bodo strokovnjaki s svojim strokovnim znanjem o nadarjenosti in izobraževanju nadarjenih ter z nadaljnjimi dejavnostmi v celoti osredotočali na pomoč učencem in učiteljem pri razvoju nadarjenosti na raznih področjih človekovih prizadevanj.

    ABSTRACT

    The Faculty of Education of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek is a higher education institution focused on general preschool and primary education, including giftedness and the gifted education research, identification, and development of pupils and university students.

    The Faculty of Education collaborates professionally with the state Teacher Training Agency, and other potential EU Talent Points, such as the NGO Bistrić in Zagreb, the NGO Centre for the Gifted in Rijeka, as well with the Sci- ence and Education Centre Višnjan. Through the involvement of the Faculty staff in the work of the School of Creativity in Novigrad and ZECV, the Faculty contributes both to the theoretical advancement, as well as to the practical implementation and educational training in gifted education.

    The mission of the Faculty of Education is continuous contribution to the society by improving knowledge on edu- cation through educational research, and the provision of excellent education to the university students, practic- ing teachers, principals and other educators. The Faculty of Education continuously plans and publishes research on gifted education, develops the gifted curriculum, and provides in-service training on gifted education (locally, nationally and internationally). Besides research, the Faculty of Education provides constant support to elemen- tary school students interested in mathematics, by providing extracurricular enrichment activities in the form of weekly mathematics classes organized by the Faculty staff and senior students of the University Teacher Studies.

    The Faculty of Education intends to set up the Centre for Talent Research and Support in Education, with a view to form a specifically focused, educational hub on giftedness and gifted education to be permanently available to pupils and education practitioners in Croatia, which shall constantly develop.     The Faculty of Education is involved in interdisciplinary research and in general preschool and primary education, and does not focus exclusively or selectively only on gifted education, but on the talent support-related activi- ties, too. In comparison to all activities of the Faculty of Education this is one of its most important developing branches. By establishing the planned Centre for Talent Research and Support in Education at the Faculty of Edu- cation, the experts, their expertise on giftedness and gifted education, and the activities offered further on will be fully focused on assisting the pupils and teachers in talent development of various areas of human endeavours.

    Na Gimnaziji Bežigrad gradimo svoje delo na dobri tradiciji. Mladim omogočamo udejstvovanje na raziskovalnem področju, tekmovanjih iz znanja, dramskem, literarnem, plesno – glasbenem, umetniškem, športnem področju in na področju prostovoljnega socialnega dela. Vsako leto organiziramo medpredmetne in strokovne ekskurzije ter naravoslovne in športne tabore.

    Na šoli imamo zelo veliko nadarjenih na različnih področjih, zato delu s temi dijaki posvečamo veliko pozornost. Večina naših dijakov je bila prepoznanih za nadarjene že v OŠ, največkrat gre za intelektualno nadarjenost. V šolskem letu 2014/15 je bilo vpisanih 905 dijakov, od tega jih je 812 predložilo poročilo o prepoznani nadarjenosti iz OŠ. Izmed njih je 680 dijakov podpisalo Program dela z nadarjenimi. Z nadarjenimi dijaki delamo tako med poukom kot izven njega, pri čemer upoštevamo tudi individualne osebnostne razlike. Želimo si, da bi se dijaki v šoli dobro počutili. Ker menimo, da je treba dati možnost razvijanja potenciala vsakemu dijaku, ne glede na to, ali smo ga prepoznali in evidentirali za nadarjenega ali ne, dejavnosti ponujamo vsem, ne samo pepoznanim nadar- jenim. Vsak mladostnik mora imeti možnost, da razvija svoja močna področja, hkrati pa tudi možnost lastnega osebnostnega razvoja. Omogočamo več načinov dela, s pomočjo katerih lahko dijaki razvijajo svojo nadarjenost: izbira oddelka glede na želje in interese; prilagajanje pouka in opravljanja obveznosti, aktivne oblike dela, med- predmetno povezovanje, timsko delo in projektno učenje, izvedba raznovrstnih dejavnosti.

    Do sedaj smo sodelovali s strokovnjaki z različnih fakultet in inštitucij v Sloveniji, sodelujemo z Raziskovalnim centrom Petnica v Republiki Srbiji in s Centrom za raziskovanje in spodbujanje nadarjenosti na Pedagoški fakulteti Univerze v Ljubljani ter z ZRSŠ, kar si želimo tudi v prihodnje.

    Tako kot do sedaj, bomo tudi v prihodnje stremeli h kvalitetnemu izvajanju vseh šoli zaupanih programov, skrbeli za zadovoljevanje interesov dijakov v izvenkurikularnih dejavnostih, skrbeli za zdravje, zdravo okolje ter socialno osveščenost, skrbeli za varnost in razvoj ugodne notranje organizacijske kulture, pozitivne samopodobe ter pozi- tivnih odnosov med učitelji in dijaki. Na šoli omogočamo učiteljem stalen stik s stroko tako doma kot v tujini in skrbimo za to, da dijaki v šolo prihajajo po znanje, se v šoli dobro počutijo. Vseskozi se namreč zavedamo, da šola obstaja zaradi otrok.

    ABSTRACT

    Gimnazija Bežigrad is a school whose students are very gifted and talented in various fields. Therefore, we dedi- cate a lot of time and attention to working with them. Many of our students have been already identified as gifted in primary school. In the school year 2014/15, 812 students submitted primary school reports identifying them as gifted. Out of 905 students of our school 680 of them were enrolled in the »Programme of Work with Gifted Students«.

    We work with gifted students in many different ways, taking also their personality differences into account. We offer various activities to all our students, not just to the ones who have been identified as gifted. Young people should have the opportunity to develop their strengths, but also the possibility of their own personal development.

    We enable the students to choose a class according to their interests and talents. They can choose a second for- eign language (various levels of proficiency), a higher level of complexity or in-depth work in mathematics and physics, as well as different levels of complexity of their elective courses. Our teachers support interdisciplinary practice, teamwork and project-based learning. In addition to our curriculum, we carry out school field trips. We organize extracurricular activities, clubs, undertake preparations for various competitions and conduct individual research.

    At our school, we build our work on good tradition that has for decades characterized our school, and clearly out- lines its mission. We enable our young students to participate in research as well as in various competitions. Our students are fostered to indulge in different drama and literary activities, as well as in dance and music; they can commit themselves to arts, they can join many different sport activities, or explore the option of voluntary social work. Every year we organize cross-curricular field trips as well as science and sports camps.

    So far, we have cooperated with experts from various Faculties and institutions in Slovenia as well as with the Research Centre Petnica from the Republic of Serbia and the Centre for Research and Promotion of Giftedness at

    POVZETK

    Gimnazija "Bihać" je srednja šola, ki je bila ustanovljena leta 1911, in je najstarejša šola v severozahodni BiH. Gimnazija dosega odlične rezultate na področju znanosti, umetnosti in športa. V zadnjem desetletju je bila vodilna šola na tekmovanjih iz računalniškega programiranja. Leta 2011 se je gimnazija udeležila svetovnega prvenstva v programiranju, v istem letu je bila gimnazija tudi bosanski prvak v srednješolskem debatnem tekmovanju. Šola je prav tako zelo uspešna v športu in plesu, trenutno so naši dijaki državni prvaki v teh dveh disciplinah. Sicer državna šola je bila vedno inkubator odličnosti. Preko izvenšolskih dejavnosti se naši dijaki naučijo mnogo več, kot od njih zahtevajo lokalni organi, zaradi česar je šola zelo dobro sprejeta v lokalni skupnosti. Preko mednarodnih programoh izmenjav, pogosto v sodelovanju s tujimi veleposlaništvi, si naši dijaki razširjajo znanje o sodobnem svetu in drugih stvareh. Naše poslanstvo je izobraževanje in vzgoja dijakov k odličnosti in da postanejo uspešni odrasli. Naši dijaki so odlični na področju plesa, športa, znanosti in umetnosti. ABSTRACT Gimnazija “Bihac” is a high school founded in 1911., and is oldest school in north-west Bosnia. Gimnazija has achieved great result in field of science, art and sports. In the past decade it has been leader in computer science programming contests, and in 2011 Gimnazija went to the World programming contest. In the same year Gimnazija was Bosnian champion in highschool debate. Our school is also very successful in sports and dancing, and it currently has students that are state champions in above stated disciplines. Our school is government founded, but it has always been an incubator of excellence. Through extracurricular activities, our student are learning a lot more that is required by the local government, and because of that we are very well accepted in local community. Through international exchange programmes, often in coordination with foreign embassies our students are able to see broader picture of a modern world and always learn new things. Our mission is to educate and raise students that will be better and successful adults. Our students excel in dancing, sports, science and art.

    Veliko učencev, ki se vpiše na Gimnazijo Brežice, je bilo prepoznanih za nadarjene na različnih področjih v osnovni šoli, nadaljnja prepoznava pa lahko poteka tudi po njihovem vpisu na našo šolo. S prepoznavo in razvojem nadar- jenosti imamo dolgoletne izkušnje, na podlagi katerih smo razvili številne dejavnosti, ki so na voljo tem dijakom. Najprej naj omenimo tedenske interesne dejavnosti, v katerih dijaki širijo in poglobijo znanje z različnih predmet- nih področij, raziskovalni tabore ob koncu tedna, izlete v razne evropske države, priprave in sodelovanje na aka- demskih in športnih tekmovanjih. Dijakom nudimo mentorstvo pri njihovem raziskovalnem in projektnem delu, najbolj sposobni med njimi imajo možnost, da se pripravljajo za Olimpijade znanja v sodelovanju s fakultetami.

    Vsako leto povabimo nadarjene osnovnošolce, da obiščejo našo šolo in da sodelujejo pri nekaterih izmed številnih delavnic – s področja znanosti, jezika, IKT, zgodovine, etnografije, podjetništva, športa.

    Nadarjenim nudimo psihološko svetovanje in karierno usmerjanje in zagotavljamo psihološko svetovanje za učitelje in starše nadarjenih dijakov.

    Prav tako imamo nekaj izkušenj z izvedbo učnega načrta. Že tretje leto zapored izvajamo projekt organiziranih športnih skupin, namenjen dijakom z visoko razvitimi psihomotoričnimi sposobnostmi. Šolski program za uspešne športnike je prilagojen njihovim potrebam, da lahko usklajujejo izobraževanje in treninge z namenom nadaljnjega razvoja njihovih športnih spretnosti in sposobnosti.

    Dijaki, ki so nadarjeni za jezike, vizualne in uprizoritvene umetnosti, imajo veliko možnosti za izražanje svoje ust- varjalnosti, npr. v okviru šolske televizijske ekipe, v uredništvu šolskega časopisa, v različnih odrskih predstavah in na kulturnih dogodkih, v šolskem zboru, itd.

    V okviru Evropske mreže za podporo nadarjenih pozdravljamo obiske predstavnikov drugih Točk za nadarjene. Pripravljeni smo sodelovati z drugimi šolami pri načrtovanju in izvajanju dejavnosti obogatitve za nadarjene dijake in se veselimo skupnih dejavnosti, npr. razvoja programa usposabljanja učiteljev ter vzpostavitvi načinov sode- lovanja s starši. Kot Evropska točka za nadarjene želimo organizirati delavnice za nadarjene.

    Many students who enrol in the upper secondary school Gimnazija Brežice were identified in primary school as gifted and talented in various areas, and some more may be identified as such after their enrolment in our school. We have had many years of experience in talent identification and development, which has resulted in a wide range of activities offered to these students. First of all, there are extracurricular activities in which students ex- pand and deepen their knowledge of different subject areas, such as classes on a weekly basis, weekend research camps, excursions to various European countries, preparations for and participation in academic contests, as well as sport competitions. Mentorship is provided for the research and project work of students, and the most able students are given the opportunity to prepare for Knowledge Olympics in collaboration with Faculties.

    Each year we invite gifted and talented primary school pupils to visit our school and to take part in some of the many workshops we organize – of science, language, ICT, history, ethnography, entrepreneurship, sports.

    We offer psychological counselling and career orientation for the gifted and provide psychological counselling for teachers and parents of the gifted pupils.

    We also have had some experience with the curriculum application. We have implemented the project of orga- nized sports groups, intended for the students with highly developed psychomotor abilities for the third time now. The school programme for successful athletes is tailored to their needs, so that they can balance their edu- cation and training, with a view to develop their sporting skills and abilities.

    The students who are talented for languages, visual or performing arts, have many opportunities to express their creativity, e.g. in the school television crew, in the school newspaper editorial board, in a variety of stage perfor- mances and cultural events, the school choir, etc.

    As part of the European Talent Support Network we shall welcome visits of representatives of other Talent Points. We are willing to cooperate with other schools in planning and implementing enrichment activities for the gifted students, and look forward to joint activities, e.g. to develop teacher training programmes and to establish ways of cooperation with parents. As a European Talent Point we would like to offer workshops for the gifted.

    POVZETEK

    Gimnazija Jurija Vege Idrija je naslednik prve slovenske ne-klasične srednje šole, ki je bila ustanovljena leta 1901, in na kateri se je pouk izvajal večinoma v slovenskem jeziku. Izjemni učitelji in odlični delovni pogoji so bili vedno zagotovilo za uspeh. Kot Evropska točka za nadarjene želimo ne le prepoznati nadarjene učence, temveč tudi spodbujati razvoj vseh njihovih potencialov. Nudimo jim zahtevne programe (vključno z INDEP), prilagojene njihovim potrebam. Zagotavljamo obogatitvene interesne dejavnosti, ki omogočajo intelektualen, umetniški, družben, čustven in telesni razvoj vsakega posameznika. Izvajamo priprave za tekmovanja z vseh predmetnih področij, npr. s področja umetnosti, kot so slikarstvo, književnost, film; prav tako omogočamo sodelovanje pri dru- gih dejavnostih, kot so drama, športne aktivnosti in podpiramo raziskovalno delo. Za namene obogatitvenih pro- gramov že in še bomo sodelovali z institucijami lokalne in širše skupnosti, s fakultetami Univerz v Ljubljani in Novi Gorici, in z raziskovalnima centroma v Kolektorju in Hidriji. Sodelovali bomo z Mladinskim centrom, s Študentsko organizacijo, z Zvezo za tehnično kulturo Slovenije, z Zavodom RS za šolstvo, in z drugimi.

    Gimnazija Idrija je bila vedno uspešna pri podpori nadarjenih dijakov. V letu 2007 smo se prijavili za razvojni pro- jekt Izvajanje koncepta za izobraževanje nadarjenih v srednjih šolah pod okriljem Zavoda RS za šolstvo. Kot ena izmed petih srednjih šol v Sloveniji smo začeli sodelovati z Zavodom RS za šolstvo, in posledično s sistematičnim izobraževalnim delom z nadarjeni, pri čemer je bil poseben poudarek namenjen spodbujanju ustvarjalnosti di- jakov.

    Kot Evropska točka za nadarjene nudimo številne raznolike in zanimive dejavnosti, ne zgolj za naše dijake, temveč tudi za druge udeležence – predšolske otroke in osnovnošolske otroke, ki so bili opredeljeni kot nadarjeni, ali pa le želijo razviti svoje potenciale in interese. Nudimo obogatitvene programe za nadarjene dijake drugih srednjih šol v Sloveniji in iz tujine, kakor tudi za nadarjene odrasle posameznike v lokalni skupnosti. Starejši ljudje, ki želijo ostati aktivni in razvijati svoje talente, in s tem izboljšati kakovost svojega življenja, ter prispevati k življenju v skupnosti, lahko izbirajo med številnimi možnostmi, ki jih ponuja naša organizacija.

    Želimo nadgraditi in razširiti sodelovanje z drugimi organizacijami, kar menimo, da je dodana vrednost našega programa in naših dejavnosti. Načrtujemo, da se bomo pogovorili in dogovorili z organizacijami, da bodo vključile v svoje dejavnosti tudi dijake drugih srednjih šol v Sloveniji in iz tujine.

    ABSTRACT

    Gimnazija Jurij Vega Idrija is the successor of the first Slovene non-classical secondary school, established in 1901, where lessons were conducted mainly in Slovene. It is remarkable teachers and excellent working conditions that have always been a guarantee for success. As a European Talent Point we wish not only to identify the gifted students, but to promote the development of all their potentials, as well. They will be offered demanding pro- grammes, (including INDEP), tailored to their needs. We shall provide extracurricular enrichment programmes, allowing for each individual’s intellectual, artistic, social, emotional and physical development. We are going to undertake preparations for competitions in all subject areas, e.g. for art competitions, such as painting, literature, film, as well as enable participation in other activities, such as drama, sports activities, and support research work. In order to enable the enrichment programmes, we are going to collaborate with institutions of local and wider community, the Faculties of the Universities of Ljubljana and Nova Gorica, and the Research Centres in Kolektor and Hidria. We are going to collaborate with the Youth Centre, the Students’ Association, the Association for Technical Culture of Slovenia, the National Education Institute, and others.

    The Gimnazija Idrija has always been successful at supporting gifted students. In 2007 we applied for the de- velopment project Implementation of the Concept of Gifted Education in Secondary Schools, conducted by the National Education Institute. As one of five secondary schools in Slovenia we started our cooperation with the National Institute, and, consequently, the systematic educational work with the gifted, whereby special emphasis was given to fostering the students’ creativity.

    As a European Talent Point we can offer a number of diversified and interesting activities, not only to our stu- dents but also to other participants – preschool children and primary school children who have been identified as gifted, or would simply like to develop their potentials and interests. We can offer enrichment programmes to the gifted students from other secondary schools in Slovenia and from abroad, as well as to the gifted adults

    from the local community. Elderly people who want to stay active and cultivate their talents, and thus improve their quality of life, as well as contribute to the life of the community, are also presented with many opportunities offered by our organisation.

    We intend to upgrade and extend collaboration with other organisations, which we believe is the added value of our programme and activities. We plan to discuss and reach an agreement with the organisations to involve also the students from other secondary schools in Slovenia and abroad in their activities.

    POVZETEK

    V okviru šolskega motivacijskega projekta krepimo in spodbujamo nadarjenost dijakov. Vsi dijaki so vključeni v program, v katerem poskušamo odkriti njihova področja odličnosti. Z izjemno nadarjenimi dijaki se ukvarjamo individualno in poskušamo okrepiti njihovo notranjo motivacijo za razvoj teh področij. Napredek dijakov formativno ocenjujemo. Projekt temelji na lastni sredstvih in virih.

    ABSTRACT

    The states of being gifted and talented are reinforced and promoted within a motivational school project. All the

    students are involved in the programme in which we are trying to identify their fields of excellence, working

    individually with the exceptionally gifted and trying to reinforce their inner motivation to develop these fields. The

    work is supported by formative assessment of a student’s progress. The project is primarily supported by our own

    means and resources.

    POVZETEK

    Hrvaška robotska zveza (CROBOA) je neprofitna robotska zveza na Hrvaškem. Sestavljajo jo regionalni robotski klubi. Naša misija zajema razvoj in spodbujanje robotike na Hrvaškem, in hrvaške robotike v tujini; spodbujanje vseživljenjskega učenja ter prepoznavanje in podpora nadarjenih otrok, ki se zanimajo za robotiko. Dejavnosti: - poletne šole za začetnike in učence, ki že imajo znanje s tega področja - sodelovanje na tekmovanju Robocup Junior - Robotrka na prstenac in RoboAlka – robotski različici klasičnih iger s ciljem vplivanja na lokalno skupnost in popularizacije robotike, - organizacija lige FIRST LEGO, - Hrvaški center za praktično robotiko, - delavnice za učitelje in vzgojitelje, - razvoj kurikuluma za robotiko kot del hrvaškega kvalifikacijskega okvira, - Odprte šole robotike za prepoznavo novih nadarjenih učencev. Rezultati in učinki: - Zaradi prizadevnega dela učiteljev in nadarjenih otrok se rezultati na mednarodnih tekmovanjih izboljšujejo na letni ravni. - Robotika je draga in zaradi tega ni dostopna vsem otrokom. Vendar pa so skoraj vse delavnice, ki jih organizira CROBOA, zastonj, in potekajo v različnih predelih Hrvaške, kar pomeni, da je robotika dostopna vsem. - Raznovrstni sistemi robotike in vrst tekmovanj naredijo robotiko privlačno za oba spola. - Vedno več otrok se zanima za univerzitetni študij robotike. - Iz leta v leto narašča število učiteljev in vzgojiteljev, ki se udeležujejo robotskih delavnic. Terminsko in nadaljnje sodelovanje: - organizacija tekmovanja Robocup Junior in sodelovanje na njem - Center za razvoj nadarjenih otrok "Bistrić" (Evropska točka za nadarjene), - Zveza za tehnično kulturo Hrvaške, - CROBOA ima 9 klubov v vseh hrvaških regijah, - Zavod Super Glavce, Ljubljana, Slovenija, - XV gimazija (Evropska točka za nadarjene), - Fakulteta za elektrotehniko in računalništvo Univerze v Zagrebu,. Kot točka za nadarjene lahko ponudimo dobre mentorje,organizacijo tekmovanj iz robotike za nadarjene učence, srečanja za izmenjavo znanja z drugimi Evropskimi točkami za nadarjene, partnerstvo pri pisanju prijav na evropske projekte, obiske drugih Evropskih točk za nadarjene z namenom pogovora o skupnih interesih, organizacijo Mednarodne poletne šole robotike za nadarjene otroke in njihove učitelje. Hrvaška robotska zveza je vsekakor sposobna in ima sredstva za dosego svojih ciljev; sodelovati želimo s sorodnimi organizacijami in mrežami za nadarjene, kot so Točke za nadarjene. Želimo si poglobljenega sodelovanja z drugimi zainteresiranimi udeleženci, ki podpirajo to idejo. Veselimo se pridružitve k vaši mreži.
