Who am I?

Me as a person

My name is "Slorup". I'm a 16 year old boy from Denmark who loves playing video games. I'm going at HTX, which is a gymnasium with focus on technology, communication, physics, chemist and innovation. My favorite video games are Minecraft, League of Legends and Hearthstone.

The last year I have begun to teach myself coding/programming. I have learned a lot thanks to a lot of guides/help from the internet. My first project was to make my own minecraft server with a lot of plugins like economy, plots and ranks. I finished the project but I couldn't get more than 10 persons on the server... so I ended up shutting it down again.

I started to play on Multicube like a September 2014, because I wanted to play with Syndicate for a game. I really loved how the server was build up and how the community was. I felt like I had to do something to thanks the everyone on the server. So I tried to post a minigame idea that I had been thinking of in a long time. I called it The Sky of Death. Quickly peopled commented that there was a post that reminded much about my post a few days ago. But people still think it was a "fine" idea. This time I'll try to make something BIGGER! I wanted to create a series of new gamemodes, maps and ideas for the server. I hope some of these ideas will be completed on Multicube.

New Gamemode

There is a lot of awesome and amazing gamemodes on the server. But I want to make more, and they need to be unique. I want to make gamemodes that other servers haven't.

I looked into some of the following gamemodes:

TntRun:Positive: 1 winner, Parkour, No-luck, The chance to lose by making 1 fail.Negative: All servers got it, few maps, NO TOURNAMENTS! no pvp'ing.

Super Jump:Positive: Parkour, lots of different maps, speed run, no-luck, elo-system, tournaments.Negative: No pvp'ing. Only a 1v1 mode.

Survival Games:Positive: Pvp, lots of maps, point system, teams, many types of survival games.Negative: Luck-based, all servers got it.

I found out that I needed to make a gamemode with 5 of the main things that people love: Tournaments, no luck, elo/point-system, fighting/pvp , parkour.

Here is what I came up with:

All in one - Tournament Gamemode

It's a gamemode combined from a lot of other minigames. You queue up against an opponent in a 1v1 (maybe make a 4 player game too), You goal is to reach the end of the map. There are 5 challenges that you need to complete to reach the goal (Storyline?). The first part is a Pve part. You get spawned in front of an Arena and you have to battle your way out. There should be a "final boss", I'm thinking of a zombie with strength and health boost. When you kill him, he drops a key (item with a specific name), you'll have to drop it into a hopper (or something more creative), due to a comparator it sends redstone signal to a huge piston door that leads you to the next challenge.

The second part is parkour map with checkpoints (it'll be like one of the Medium Super Jump maps, but longer and with checkpoints). The parkour leads you directly to the 3rd challenge.

3rd challenge is a squared map. At the start all you see is a (maybe 10x10) square made by write wool. There is only 1 exact way through the square (blue on picture), and it should be randomly generated every game. If you step on the right "tile" you'll see that it'll be marked blue, but if you step on a wrong "tile", it'll be marked red and you'll get tp'ed back to the start of this challenge. (You'll still see the colors)

The fourth part will be one more medium parkour with checkpoints (This one has speed and jump buffs that you'll gain). It'll lead you directly to the final challenge.

The final challenge is a MAZE! I'm thinking of a 2 wide path with leaves as walls (4 high). You could also make the final challenge with a Nether Theme. Depends on the Storyline. (Randomly generated) If you complete the map before your opponent you win!

Extra add-on idea: When you have completed all the challenges, you'll both be sent to a pvp-arena, where the winner will get a slight better pvp-class than the opponent. Then the opponent will still have a little chance to win the game!

Shop items:Better weapons/armor to fight with in the Pve-arena.The Firework when you win.

Achievements:Win your first game"Win a last stand fight with the "bad" kit"Complete the maze in __ seconds!Don't die a single time!

Hub Ideas

The hub when you're waiting for a CubeCade to start is quite small. I think that the Hyperion team should make a bigger pregame-hub, and there should be 2-3 different parkour levels in it. I have also thought about making another minigame while you wait for you minigame to start?! I made this Connect Four game on a server a long time ago (just when Mianite became a thing). I made it the nether vs. quartz theme! I found a tutorial on YouTube on how to make it, but I have edited in it to make it even better.

"I think the keyword to more players is: Events!As I recommended, I think mazes in the hubs will be an amazing way to make people coming back to complete them. There should be a new maze like every week and if you complete a maze, you should get some cubics (around 100).

You could also add the mazes into categories. What I mean with categories is, if you complete all the mazes in "December category (1 maze a week) you could get an extra bonus, don't know if it should be extra cubics, a few CTs, a gadget or just an achievement. Just an extra price to again, make people to back to the server, and when they're on the server, they'll probably play a game of two of any kind of minigame."

Ideas for minigames

Dance party!Everyone knows this good old game (can't remember the name...). I think that we could take it to the next level and put make it a minecraft minigame! People stands in a big arena and there's a big screen(s) showing what you should do.

The screen should display:

Forward Backward Left Right Jump Crouch

You have to do the moves in the right order as shown on the screen (randomly generated). If you fail, you lose. The first round is with 3 moves, then it's your turn again.The second round is also with 3 moves, then it's your turn to repeat it again.The third and fourth round are with 4 moves that you have to remember.And this keeps on going until there is only 1 "dancer" left.

SuperJump Maps

Prison:

SuperJump is a amazing minigame, but I think it needs even more maps. Therefore I have made this prototype. (My first map)It's a prison and the goal is to get out by doing parkour. You spawn in a cell and you'll have to run downstairs to reach a "broken cell" that leads you to the beginning of the parkour.

Paintball Revolution maps

Dust2I love the new gamemode Paintball and it's easy to see that the community likes it as well. I think that even more players would like it if there was some maps that they could recognize from other games, that they previously have played.
