CLASSES
(1) Its Electric – Build a lamp and learn about
electricity. Bring an empty, clean soda can.
(2) Quilting Basics - Learn to make a simple
quilted item. You will use a sewing machine
and learn hand sewing techniques.
(3) Soap Making – Learn how to make
homemade soaps.
(4) Gooey Science – If you like science
experiments, you will enjoy this hands on
class.
(5) Memory Boards – Make a memory board for
your room or for a gift.
(6) Woodworking – Learn to make a wood
project that you can enter in the fair.
(7) Tie Dye – Create your own colorful t-shirt or
other clothing. You will need to bring the
item you wish to tie dye.
(8) Pizzeria – Make your own personal pizza that
you can eat afterwards. Learn about bagel
pizzas and healthy choices.
(9) Tea Party – Learn how to plan your very own
tea party. You will sample some delectable
desserts and tea foods.
(10) Let’s Make Ice Cream – Learn how to milk a
cow. We will also make ice cream in a bag.
(11) Beginners Cupcakes – Learn simple culinary
decorating principles as you decorate your
cupcake.
(12) Advanced Cupcakes – Class is for advanced
decorators who have already taken the
beginners class and want to learn more.
(13) Let’s Bake – Learn to bake a simple snack.
(14) Iris Paper Folding – Learn this unique paper
folding art.
(15) Konnichiwa – Explore Japan and learn about
the country by writing, cooking and doing
origami.
(16) Outdoor Cookery – Come learn about
cooking on the grill and make some kabobs.
(17) GPS Treasure Hunt – You will work with GPS
equipment and go on a GEO search for
treasures.
(18) Photography – Learn how to use a camera
and take pictures. You will need to bring
your own digital camera.
(19) Babysitting Basics - This class will teach you
responsibilities and qualities of a good
babysitter.
(20) Ready, Aim, Fire – Learn basic gun safety,
responsibilities, and shooting techniques
using air rifles.
(21) TWRA – Wildlife – Explore wildlife, learn
about pelts, skins, tracking and so much
more.
(22) Paint, Paint, Paint – Make a tic-tac-toe
game and paint a larger image.
(23) Engineering 101 – Use your engineering
skills to build something fun in this class.
(24) Gardening – Dig in the dirt and learn about
gardening and create a terrarium.
(25) Goats – Learn showmanship and how to
show a goat.
(26) Beef Cattle – Class will introduce you to all
you want to know about beef. You will also
learn showmanship techniques.
(27) Get Fit – Learn hands on CPR on an adult
and baby mannequin, learn Tai-Chi and finish
class with some refreshing fruit smoothies.
(28) Scrapbooking – Learn the basics of
scrapbooking and create a scrapbook page
and a simple gift item. You can bring up to
four 4 by 6 inch photos.
(29) Snuggle Up – You will be creating a no-sew
fleece pillow.
Dear 4-H Member,
Come be a part of the celebration of 4-H
project activities! You will enjoy hands on
classes. There will be project experts from
Carter, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins, Sullivan,
Unicoi and Washington Counties to lead you
through 3 different sessions to help you learn
more about the projects you choose.

Service Project:
This year we will be collecting items for the
Ronald McDonald House. We would request
that everyone attending please bring items to
donate (snack foods, wash cloths, baby items,
small trash bags, etc.)

You will have an opportunity to set up some non-
interactive exhibit boards too. Ask your agent.
Don’t forget Items you make can be entered in the fair in the
4-H youth exhibits.
