Amanda Sanchez was the winner

of The Food Connection’s contest

earlier this year.

Her restaurant proposal for

Wicked Kickn’ BBQ along

with its signature dish,

Wicked Kickn’ Chicken,

won the start-up money

for her restaurant.

“That Wicked Kickn’ Chicken was fantabulous!”

“Those sweet potato fries are so sweet and crunchy I could

eat them all day!”

“The service was wonderful – the waitstaff was very friendly.”

“Amanda Sanchez is a restaurant genius!”

Project 26: Employee Orientation Presentation

This presentation will

prepare you to put your best

foot forward in your new

position and to maximize

your work experience at

Wicked Kickn’ BBQ.

Our dress code is pretty basic – a Wicked Kickn’

BBQ T-shirt with black pants, shorts, or a skirt.

Each employee will receive

two T-shirts. We supply a

small-pocketed waste

apron to hold your work

things. Please wear

comfortable shoes and

tie your hair back,

if possible.

It is very important to know the

layout of the restaurant. You

will be given a tour of the

kitchen, food prep area,

dining area, waiting area,

cashier station, entrances

and exits, storage area,

and the item most

requested by patrons –

the location of the

restrooms.

Be sure to attend one of our staff

training sessions. Lunch will be

provided, so you can look forward

to tasting our delicious menu items.

The dates and times of the sessions

are as follows:

Tuesday: 10:30 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Wednesday: 10:30 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Thursday: 10:30 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

All employees at Wicked

Kickn’ BBQ must be familiar

with the menu items we

offer. You will be allowed

time to study the menu.

During your training

session, you will be shown a

picture of what each plated

menu item looks like. Note

which sides go with which

entrée or sandwich.

A restaurant’s cleanliness and sanitation prove to

be important in attracting new customers and keeping old ones, so we require the following from our employees:

Dining tables must be sanitized after each use

Items on dining tables (salt/pepper shakers, etc.) must be sanitized daily

Kitchen and maintenance staff must keep kitchen utensils and floors clean

Restrooms must be cleaned hourly

We’re here if you need us! Problems, questions you

can’t answer, don’t know what to do with that

thingamajig, need help keeping up with your work assignment, please ask either Owner/Manager Amanda or Assistant Manager Bethany, or any other employee you feel could help you.

We must ask that you be courteous and

respectful when communicating with our

customers, vendors, and the community,

especially when wearing the restaurant T-shirt.

Wicked Kickn’ BBQ requires appropriate,

professional behavior from all of its employees.

Our goal is to provide a positive and inviting

atmosphere for our employees, as well as our

customers.

We will occasionally offer special incentives to our employees for selling certain quantities of specified menu items or other incentives and contests that we dream up.

Prizes will be MONETARY!?

This Month’s Contest: The employee who invents the best sandwich wins $25 has the sandwich named after them!
