Masthead has improved as I have learnt to use more suitable fonts and colours based on audience research I have completed.

My images have massively improved as although the shot types are very similar, I have managed to use model body posture to connote the genre of my magazine. I have also used photo editing programs such as Photoshop to edit the photo in order to look more professional and suited to the Indie genre by toning down the colours and adding areas of dark and light to contrast the body with the highlighted face.

My magazine has also improved as I have focused more on conventions of a front cover and have included many more headlines than my original task as it is conventional to have many headlines but in a neat ordered layout which is something I have learnt over the course of this task. I have also used two different types of fonts in order to make the front cover more appealing to the eye and allow certain headlines to stand out more than others.

I have also used a separate font for my cover story in my main task in order to make it most noticeable but I have also used a separate colour as I wanted it to be the focus of the front cover as it relates to the main artist who is represented in the conventional moody Indie way.

The mode of address in my final task has improved from my preliminary task as I have focused it on the genre of my music making it more aggressive and out spoken by saying things such as “greatest band ever” as apposed to my previous task in which the mode of address was just the headlines stated with no emotion or address to them.

The conventions of my magazine have improved as the layout is more conventional as I have already explained by the image shot, the larger cover story and more cluttered layout, but I have also improved my conventions by adding a date, issue number and bar code.
