Our Colleges

Generations of internationally renowned artists, designers and performers began their creative journey at Central Saint Martins (CSM). Many whose work has defined or transformed our times.

Today’s students benefit from modern workspaces that provide specialist areas for making and creating. It is this creative energy that drives its working relationships with the local community in and around King’s Cross and Archway. Students will benefit from working with the creative industries and can enhance their learning with a full programme of exhibitions and events. CSM best suits students that are risk-taking and independent in their approach to learning.

Camberwell’s studio culture and strong sense of community encourages students to rethink current creative practices and cultivate their own style. For over a century, this small College (1600 students) has been at the heart of a bohemian community that encourages inventiveness, creativity and collaboration. The south east London location is home to a thriving art scene, and the area hosts a variety of galleries, project spaces and studios that our students, staff and graduates work and exhibit in. These include Peckham Platform, Work Form and Assembly Point. Camberwell’s facilities embrace both traditional craftsmanship and digital technology, including a Digital Media Centre, one of the largest printmaking centres in the UK, open access ceramic, wood, metal and plastic workshops and various specialist darkrooms, processing rooms and photographic studios.

LCC specialises in media, design and screen practice and is located in the vibrant area of Elephant and Castle. Known for its industry-led courses, the LCC experience is all about learning by doing. Students have access to state-of-the-art facilities, from traditional crafts to the latest in 3D digital printing. Our specialist workshops and studios are equipped to industry standards and are run by highly-skilled technicians.

The Stanley Kubrick Archive held at LCC spans Kubrick’s entire career and has recently collaborated with the Design Museum on a high profile exhibition of his work. Also housed at LCC is a comic book collection and the Her Noise Archive.

Chelsea is a celebration of the British art school tradition; a warm, expansive, artist-centred community. The College is home to cutting-edge facilities including a digital print studio, an audio-visual editing studio, specialist equipment for textile design, a foundry and 3D workshops in casting, ceramics, metalwork, and woodwork.

Chelsea is also home to London’s largest open-air gallery which hosts events from film screenings to large-scale installations, and international artists exhibiting alongside current students. Chelsea’s students enjoy a special relationship with their next-door neighbour, Tate Britain, the UK’s national gallery of British art from 1500s to the present day.
