WEEKS & THEMESWeek 1 (June 18–22) – “Crazy Carnival”We’re pulling out the Big Top this week! Come enjoy the glitz, glamour and awe of the circus at Camp! Practice to be a trapeze artist on our ropes courses, an animal tamer at drama, or just sit back and watch with some popcorn!
Week 2 (June 25–29) – “Great Safari”Jump in your jeep; hang on for a wild ride! This week sends campers deep into a jungle filled with lions, tigers and…parrots? Get ready for a jungle full of fun!
Week 3 (July 2–6) – “USA Week”Get out your red, white, & blue and come celebrate America’s birthday with us! We’ll have awesome patriotic activities including a 4th of July parade around camp! USA! USA! USA!
Week 4 (July 9–13) – “World Olympics”During the week where we celebrate our nation’s independence, we also celebrate our multicultural community at Camp with some fun games and a little competitive spirit. Lace up your sneakers and get ready to go for the gold!
Week 5 (July 16–20) – “Winter Wonderland”If the heat is bringing you down, come cool off with us this week. An unexpected blizzard has hit Camp. With plenty of snow and ice, we’ll party–winter style!
Week 6 (July 23–27) – “Wild, Wild West”Howdy partner! Grab your cowboy hat, saddle up and get ready to head out on a fantastic adventure through the great frontier.
Week 7 (July 30–August 3) – “Superhero”It’s a bird! No, it’s a plane! No, it’s Camp Sonshine! Get ready to protect the citizens of CampSonshineville from evildoers. Capes and spandex are opitonal!
Week 8 (August 6–10) – “Lights, Camera, Action!”For one week, we’re turning Silver Spring and Germantown into Hollywood! Grab your tuxedo or gown and get ready to walk the red carpet like a movie star!
Week 9 (August 13–17) – “Tropical Island” Land ho! Camp has somehow become stranded on a tropical island! Don’t worry though, we’ll be having so much fun, there’s no need to signal for an S.O.S.!
Week 10 (August 20–24) – “Outer Space”3…2…1…blast off! Let’s travel around the Milky Way, past Jupiter, and through a black hole exploring the mysteries of outer space! Don’t forget your space suit!
Week 11 (August 27–31) - What better way to end the summer than a week with additional Field Trips! Campers will get to enjoy half or full day trips!!

Care service gives parents the option of early morning

LATESTAY
A Latestay is a chance for PK-2nd Grade Campers to
experience the thrill of being a “big kid” by staying on our
campgrounds until 8pm! In addition to eating camp food,
campers get to participate in fun-filled activities such as
MARSHMALLOW TOASTING and S’MORE MAKING!
Available weeks (Thursdays): 2, 4, 5, 6 & 8

ADVENTURE OVERNIGHTER (3RD & 4TH)
Our legendary ADVENTURE Overnighters1 (Friday nights
through 8:00 AM Saturday morning) are filled with
unforgettable experiences such as:

Sickness/School Extensions
Absence of more than two consecutive days due to illness or school being extended.
During Camp
Camp will credit for the days missed after, but not including, the first two days when requested in writing and accompanied by a doctor’s/school note.
Waiting List
Applicable only to children on the waiting list. Does not apply to enrolled siblings.

If child is unable to enroll, or is withdrawn from the waiting list, all payments are refunded. Payment is not processed un- less camper is enrolled. Please note that having a sibling on the waiting list is not cause for a refund.
Late Fees
Late fees will be charged to accounts that are not paid in full by May 11th.

A $10 late fee per week may be added to any accounts not paid in full by the May 11 payment deadline. We reserve the right to drop any accounts not paid in full by June 8th without refund.
Discounts
Discounts can only be applied to camp tuition.
• There is no discount on convenience options.
• There is no discount on the $45 application fee.

Returned Checks
A fee will be charged for all returned checks. -
There is a $35 fee charged for returned checks.
Deposits
A $20 per week non-refundable deposit, as well as the $45 application fee per child is required with each advanced or regular rate application as minimum payment, if not yet paying in full.

Your deposit only gives you freedom and flexibility to make payments at your convenience until your total balance is paid. The deposit is applied toward the full balance. (It is not a separate fee, but reserves your child’s spot.) The deposit as minimum payment is not available on or after 5/11.
Spring Break
Because of limited availability, fees for Spring Break must be paid in full upon registration.
After 2/23
The following fees will be applied for Spring Break Camp cancellations:
$5 a day or $20 for the entire week.
NOTE: No refunds for cancellations made after 2/23.

LEADER-IN-TRAINING PROGRAM (7TH–11TH)The Leader-in-Training (LIT) Program1 equips teens with important leadership/life skills such as: Teamwork, Responsibility, Communication, Problem Solving and Community Service (approved student service learning hours program). Participants can earn up to 35 SSL hours per week.
ACTIVITIES: Vital leadership skills are taught in a safe, fun and challenging group environment. Teens will get hands-on experience working with kids alongside trained counselors. LITs help maintain group countrol, create a safe environment for campers and assist in day-to-day activities. LITs will also get to participate in one-on-one mentoring.

1 Camp registration is required for entrance into the LIT program. To ensure campers get the full experience and benefit from the LIT program, we require all campers to register for a minimum of two consecutive weeks. Campers also need to attend the MANDATORY TRAINING SESSION (Date TBD).
GERMANTOWN CAMPS Camp Sonshine Germantown (GT) is a field trip-based program that provides Campers with age-appropriate, outrageously fun activities.
Located at Neelsville Presbyterian Church, our GT location is off of Frederick Rd. Right in the heart of Germantown, this location makes it especially convenient for those living in the Germantown/ Damascus/ Gaithersburg area.

This program offers an “exclusive” teen feel where each day is filled with opportunities for teens to hang out with friends, participate in fun activities, and interact with caring counselors1.

LEADER-IN-TRAINING (9TH & 10TH)The Leader-in-Training (LIT) Program1 equips teens with important leadership/life skills such as: Teamwork, Responsibility, Communication, Problem Solving and Community Service (approved student service learning hours program). Participants can earn up to 35 SSL hours per week.
ACTIVITIES: Vital leadership skills are taught in a safe, fun and challenging group environment. Teens will get hands-on experience working with kids alongside trained counselors. LITs help maintain group countrol, create a safe environment for campers and assist in day-to-day activities. LITs will also get to participate in one-on-one mentoring.

TUITION COST: • $284/week• 2+ weeks: $259/week (a $25 saving!)
1 Camp registration is required for entrance into the LIT program. To ensure campers get the full experience and benefit from the LIT program, we require all campers to register for a minimum of two consecutive weeks. Campers also need to attend the MANDATORY TRAINING SESSION (Date TBD).
SPECIALTY CAMPS Our Specialty Camps are designed to encourage campers to explore and develop their talents and interests during the summer! There will be four different specialized programs: S.T.E.M., Arts Adventure, Sports, and Wilderness.
All of our Specialty camps will be located on the grounds of our newest satellite location—Bethel World Outreach Ministries International (BWOMI) in Olney, MD.

(Monday–Friday) at our Silver Spring location.

GRADES PRE-K–4
Campers will participate in a variety of
traditional Camp Sonshine activities, including
go- karts, craft craze, assembly, jump zone,
archery, and eco explorations. They will also
have special off-site trips, including swimming.
GRADE 5-6
Activities may include swimming, bowling, ice-
skating, laser tag, arcades, and more fun than
you can possibly imagine!
GRADES 7-10
Activities may include Players Family
Amusement Park, pool trip, ice-skating, or other
amusement facilities. The teens will also go on

any number of days. No matter which day(s)
your child attends, you can be sure that they’ll
receive the kind of high-quality program you’ve
come to expect from Camp Sonshine. Eager
for a full week of camp memories? We offer
special prices if you register for all five days!

WINTER CAMP: BASKETBALL (DEC. 26TH–29TH)In our Pro Power Winter Basketball Camp, 3rd–6th
grade campers will experience sportsmanship,
teamwork, competition and respect. Campers
will spend the day (9:00am–4:00pm) gaining
improvements in ball-handling, passing, shooting,
footwork and conditioning, and rebounding.
Campers will receive intentional training from our
qualified coaches and instructors throughout the
week. They will also get the opportunity to speak
with an NBA player!
CONVENIENCE OPTIONS:
No Extended Care or Trasportation will be
provided during Winter Basketball Camp.
