Infants and Toddlers and Teeth, OH MY!Kim Puma, Infant Toddler Resource NetworkIf you are a 0-3 provider, you have more than likely had to endure biting in your program at one time or another. While this phase of development is typically short lived, it can bring added stress to the teachers and program. In this session we will explore why children bite, develop strategies to use to guide behavior that limits biting, and what to do when biting does happen.

Processed Art and the Skills Children Gain
Sara Honsberger, NYSAEYC Credentialed Train
Kim LoDico, NYSAEYC Credentialed Trainer
Physical activity is as important for the growth and development of young children as is healthy eating habits. Successful introduction of movement to children requires well-organized, fun, inclusive activities that have clear instructions and planned transitions. This training prepares you to plan physical activities with young children and includes a wealth of practical, low cost and easy to implement activities.
Children learn best through exploration and open ended activities. Process art provides just that! Come to this session to learn about process art verses product art. We will explore various types of art and discover the benefits to children’s developmental skills through process art.

When the Children Are Not Enough
During a time when people are leaving the field more frequently, when quality seems out of reach, and when program/organization demands frustrate you, sometimes even the children can’t sustain us. Burnout and compassion fatigue are very real issues. In this training we will discuss strategies and tips on keeping your fire lit and maintaining your passion for working with children and youth.
