INTRODUCTION

Product Labels Extension is used for highlight your products using different labels like new

products, special offer, etc. You can upload labels based on different conditions like date time

duration, price range, stock status and selected product and categories.

FEATURES

Display labels on specific page like product view page, listing page, search and advanced

search page. Specify the label size from configuration. Display default image if label is not uploaded. Support multi store and customer groups. Support multi labels and display sort order wise labels. Able to choose position of label

Choose text color, font size and variables for label text.

Choose product SKUs, apply condition for display label and choose categories.

Choose time period and product attributes for display of labels. Display labels based on product price and stock status.

Supported Security Patch SUPEE-6788.

Supported Magento version: 1.4.x-1.9.x.




CONFIGURATION SETTINGS

Go to System → Configuration → MAGEBEES → Product Label. OR Go to MageBees → Product Label → Settings.




General:

Enable Product Label: You can able to enable or disable this module from choosing Yes/No.

Display Default Image if Label Not Uploaded: Choose Yes for display default label image if

label not uploaded.

Display Label on Pages: You can choose pages for display label on specific pages.

Manage Label Size:

Width in Product Listing Page: You can set label width in pixels for product listing page.

Height in Product Listing Page: You can set label height in pixels for product listing page.

Width in Product View Page: You can set label width in pixels for product view page.

Height in Product View Page: You can set label height in pixels for product view page.

Note: You are not able to change dimensions of default label.




MANAGE LABELS

Layout Settings:

Go to http://www.magebees.com/magento-product-label-extension.html

Go to support tab and download “LAYOUT” file.

For default package in Product Listing Page:

Open file

app/design/frontend/Your_Theme_Package/Your_Theme/template/catalog/product/lis

Add following code for List mode

TIP: If product label not display on proper position you can change <div> start and end position as per your theme.




Add New Label:

Go to admin → MageBees → Product Label → Manage Labels.

Click on button. You will get following screen.

General Tab:

o Title: You can specify the title or name of your label.

o Status: You can choose your label status (Active/Inactive).

o Hide if high sort order label already applied: On choosing Yes this label become

hide if high priority label is applied.

o Customer Groups: You can choose your customer groups in which your label

applies.

o Priority: You can specify your label sort order if there is multiple label on same

product.




Labels Tab:

o Position :

You can select the position of label on product image.

o Image: You can choose your label image. If you want to change the label dimensions

you can change from settings.(Recommended label dimensions for Category Label :

80px X 80px and for Product Label : 110px X 110px )

TIP: If you do not upload image it will display default image on front end.

o Text: You can write text here for display on label. You can also use following

variables.

{SAVE_PERCENT} – Displays save percentage.

For e.g. 'Sale! {SAVE_PERCENT} OFF!' -> Sale! 25 Off! {SAVE_AMOUNT} – Displays save amount.

For e.g. ‘You Save {SAVE_AMOUNT}’ -> You Save 25 {PRICE} – Displays regular price. {SPECIAL_PRICE} – Displays special price. {FINAL_PRICE} – Displays final price. {NEW_FOR} – Displays total days since it is arrived.




'NEW! Arrived just {NEW_FOR} days ago!' {SKU} displays product SKU. {BR} - New line. If you need to display some word or phrase in a

separate line, please use {BR} variable.

Note: If you do not select Product or Category, It will display label on all products.




Conditions Tab:

o Is New: Yes=>Display labels only on new products.

No=>Display labels only on except new products.

o Is on Sale: Yes=>Display labels only on discounted products (E.g. Special Price,

Catalog Price Rules).

No=>Display labels only on except discounted products.

FAQ

Q-1: I configure Product Label Extension. But when I click on MageBees Product Label

Settings or System Configuration MAGEBEES Product Label, page will get a 404. :(.

After installing Extension logout from admin account and Re-login and Refresh Cache.

Q-2: Label is not displayed.

For display label you have to add div as per specified in layout settings.

Q-3: Date Range Condition not working.

This is happen due to different time-zone in your magento store. If you want to set same date and time then, please set same time-zone as original website having.

Q-4: Label not display in product page of default package.

If you not uploaded product image then label is not display in default package.

Q-5: I want to change default label image. How to do?

Go to <root_directory>\skin\frontend\base\default\images\productlabel

Replace “label_category_default_bg.png”(product listing page) and

“label_product_default_bg.png”(product view page) images as per your required

dimensions.

Do not change name of default image.

Q-6: When I select image attribute from drop down in “Has attributes” conditions tab, what

will be the value of attribute?

For e.g. If you select “Small Image” then value should be path of image

“/p/w/pwd_3.jpeg” after media/catalog/product.
