Problematic issues within higher education in Kosova

    Introduce the issue

1 This assignment will attempt to outlineproblematic issues within the teaching environment

of the classroom. And also attempt to outline the

problem areas and also try and come to some

conclusions on how if possible some of these

problems can be resolved. (Present it in question

form) Do students get the full potential out of their

classroom education? And as a consequence of this

do students have a fair and equal opportunity to

study and learn in a teaching environment? Doeshigher education need to be more disciplined within

    the classroom?

Explain why it is compelling to you

2 I feel that a disruptive class leaves to loss of

concentration and education. One of the issues is

with mobile phones, where students use them freely

throughout lectures both to talk and text. This I feel

is disrespectful and also time consuming and as over

a period of lesson time great detrimental to myeducation.

Describe what you already know about it

3 Students must be more aware of Universitys

rules and regulations. Disruptive behavior causes

knock on effects to the all group. The rules have

been put in place for the benefit of the professor and

    students alike.

    Status of University:

4.10. Students status, rights and regulations

    article 156:

    1. To respect the regulations issued by the

    University;

    2. To respect the rights of staff and other students;

    3. To pay attention to their studies and participate in

    academic activities;

    4. Attend lectures in accordance with the rules of the

    specific study program

Where there is a disruptive behavior in the class

everyone suffers. Mobiles ringing, people answering

mobiles, texting, going on internet, students leaving

the room to take calls, all have knock on effect on

both students and professor, students walking into

the lectures late, and professor having to repeat over

again the beginning of topic. This is unfair to

students who arrive on time and are prepared for

class, having to accept bad behavior of others,

causes other students to lose valuable learning time.It can be postulated that the HE system can be more

strictly supervised in the areas of discipline within

the classroom environment. Suggestions are all

mobiles must be shut down before entering the

class, this in itself would stop all interference of all

class members and professor; this would be the ideal

solution to cover the class disruptions.

    Late comers without either prior

acknowledgment from professor should be excluded

from the lecture. Emphasis must be made in the

Universitys Status and Guidelines to be used as a

blanket for all students, not just the ones that make

an effort to turn up on time and abide by the rules

and fellow students, but also for late comers who

show disrespect to the professor and other students

in the class that arrive on time. Students have a

responsibility to themselves as well as others:

respect, good manners and time keeping is not just amoral obligation, but also a life obligation.

Organization of time is crucial in all aspects of life,

and higher education is no exception. Life is run by

rules and regulations, everyone must be seen to have

order in their life, otherwise valuable learning time

    and skills are lost.

Within HE we are all adults and students should

know the rules and behave accordingly. If they

dont follow the rules then professor should

enforce them. I have already through my HE

education lost out on lecture time and teaching

knowledge due to lack of professors. I feel that the

disruption in class is just an added irritant to my

school funds is being wasted. I am not only losing

out on time and education but on money as well. I

would like the university to make more emphasis

on the University Status and to ensure that at all

times lectures are covered by a professor.

Explain what more you need to learnI need to do a study about other teaching

establishments and how they achieved the

resolution to these problems. I would want to make

a comparison between students behaviour and

teaching establishments, rules and regulations and

if these rules and regulations are not implemented,

what detriment does this have on overall students

progress. And also I would like to know why rules

and regulations of the teaching establishments are

    not implemented.
