Florida’s Eden 10Help celebrate Florida’s Eden, 10 years towards promoting a vibrant creative economy and fostering conservation-first strategies to protect the assets of our natural environment. Put yourself on the Florida’s Eden memory wall, step into our oral history booth, and take part in a month of special programs at The Doris.

Travels on the Blue Path covers an entire wall at The Doris. Immerse yourself in the story of Florida’s most essential natural resource: water. This interactive display shows the results of human activities on Florida’s springs and aquifer, challenges our assumptions about water quantity and quality, and invites us to envision a future where Floridians find new ways to value water and place it at the center of a prosperous future.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream4/11 - 5/13The Hipp’s mainstage production takes one of WilliamShakespeare’s most widely-produced comedies and brings it into the present day with an urban, youthful spin. The Hipp’s production uses modern technology (cell phones, social networking) to bring the story to life for a new generation. It is an unforgettable adventure of royal weddings, star-crossed lovers, mistaken identity, magical potions and of course, lots of mischief and merriment.Men in tights are replaced by a cityscape of hipsters and modern communications; cell phones and social networking give the comedy new life.In the manner of recent Hippodrome hits, A Midsummer Night’s Dream is played by actors taking on multiple roles. Enjoy a drink at the downstairs bar before the show, check out the artwork in the Hipp Gallery and go online to see the current lineup of films at the Hipp Cinema.
