Meet the Presenter -Janet Hallstrom

• I am a Media Specialist at Fleming Island High School. My educational experience has spanned the past 38 years and includes teaching at the elementary and high school levels in Mississippi, Texas, and Florida. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree at Miss. State and my Masters at the University of Mississippi. I was National Board Certified in 2002 and became a STAR DEN and member of the Leadership Council in 2006.

• While serving as a Media Specialist, I have also provided services as the District Media Broadcasting Specialist, a National Board mentor, a consultant for Sprint, a facilitator for summer training for teachers in Clay county, an assessor for the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, a Curriculum Designer for Clay Virtual Academy, and facilitator for Distance Learning Classes for the Schultz Teacher Training Center. This summer I presented at Blackboard World in New Orleans, LA. I have an article being published this fall for Library Media Collection, a national magazine.

TIME UP!!!

Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small

people always do that, but the really great make you feel that

you, too, can become great.

Switching your DE streaming account

from one school to another

Page 31: Prestidigition with PowerPoint

First you need to know your new school’s passcode

Where would you get that code?

Ask your Media Specialist or School Librarian

Email Janet Hallstrom at [email protected]

Check the Staff tab on your school’s Blackboard site.

Page 32: Prestidigition with PowerPoint

What is a passcode?

A passcode is an eight digit/character combined code that is unique to each subscribing school

Teachers use this passcode to create their own usernames/passwords

Once a teacher creates their own username/password they do not need to use the passcode again

Let’s take a look at the process
