Right from its start, Courchevel resort has focused on raising its gastronomic offering to thetop. The resort reaches today the highest echelons of French art de vivre with 8 Michelin-starred restaurants.
Since l'Hôtel des 3 Vallées, the first hotel/restaurant in the resort, opened in 1946,Courchevel’s pioneering spirit of innovation has helped it to become one of the topgastronomic resorts. Chef David Ayrault, whopreviously worked with renowned Michelin-starred chef Pierre Gagnaire, highlights organicand local products, both in his choice of ingredients and his creative dishes.

Recently promoted to 5 stars, the iconic Hotel Chabichou has changed ownership andunveiled an exciting new concept. The restaurant, now under the guardianship of theLavorel group, but still under the direction of chef Stéphane Buron, has three new menusoffering five, seven or nine dishes. At night, the restaurant Chabotté becomes the Katz barwith a trendy and festive atmosphere - great for fun nights out.

In Courchevel Moriond, new restaurant Chez Henri has fabulous views over the snow-covered fir trees of the iconic mountain Dent du Villard. Here, the chef prepares ethicalcuisine as well as gluten-free dishes, using fresh and seasonal produce.

Superb food stores
Antoine Fouchard, chef of restaurant Le Bistrot du Praz, in Courchevel le Praz, isexpanding his gastronomic offer and this winter opens the "Chez Nous” grocery store. Asalways, his aim is to provide outstanding quality products to customers.
In Courchevel Moriond, Le Farto offers unique local products, such as black genepi, analpine liqueur.
Women in the spotlight
In 2017, the 1850 Be Organic restaurant at the 5-star hotel La Sivolière, was opened byMadame Florence Carcassone, director of this family establishment. Her aim was to offerhealthy cuisine whilst supporting environmentally friendly agriculture. In the same year,chef Fanny Rey was voted Michelin Guide’s ‘Woman Chef of the Year'. So, it comes as nosurprise that this winter, Courchevel's first starred woman chef takes the reins at intimate12-seat restaurant Table de Fanny at La Sivolière, alongside her husband JonathanWahid, offering surprising and delicious eco-responsible cuisine.

It was also in 2017 that Elsa Jeanvoine, dining room manager at the restaurant L’Azimut,won the maître d’ hôtel first prize at the prestigious competition Sirha de Lyon. Hailing, likeFanny Rey, from Burgundy Franche-Comté, she provides impeccable service in therestaurant which was created in 2007 by the talented team of François and SandrineMoureaux. This year, the restaurant proudly announce reaching again the rankof Michelin-starred restaurant.
