WORKSHEET 1 When the children are looking at the 4 characters at the top of WORKSHEET 1 tell the children the names of the characters and get them to repeat them. Then, using the key they can colour in the characters at the bottom of the page. If able they can copy their names and decide if they are a “good character” or a “bad character”

Teach the children the words SOUP, HOUSE, FOREST, LONG and SHORT. They can write the words using the template. You could teach them actions for the words. WORKSHEET 3 Fill in the maze to find the way from Little Red Riding Hood to Granny.

SYNOPSIS

One day Little Red Riding Hood gets a telephone call from her granny who lives the other side of the woods. Her granny has a cough and is hungry, so Little Red Riding hood decides to take her some soup. There are two ways to Granny’s house, the long way and the short way, but she can never remember which is which. Whilst trying to remember she meets Walter the Wolf. Walter is also hungry for soup. He has an evil plan; he sends Little Red Riding Hood the long way so he can ge to Granny’s house before her, hide granny and get the soup. After walking the long way, Little Red Riding Hood finally arrives at Granny’s house. She finds Granny looking very strange with big ears, big eyes, a big nose and big teeth. Little Red Riding hood is in danger, what will happen to her and Granny? Who will get to eat the soup?
